- If it seems like I'm off in the video, it's because I honestly had a really rough night to recover from before this Direct :( This is a more mellow Crystal when my mental energy battery ain't full like it normally is for streams.
BUT ANYWAY IM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE DIRECT. Honestly, was not expecting anything, and came out massively surprised!!

Mario rly stole the show for this direct like man had 4 games announced in one event this was insane super hyped for Wonder and the Mario RPG Remake

Star Ocean! Only really play 1 and 2. 3 upwards are just meh. Star Ocean 2 is considered to be the best of the series.

Just play star ocean 2 when it comes out. Almost all the others are hit or miss.
Something funny about Detective Pikachu VA (specially the sequal) share the same English VA as Kasuga Ichiban from Like a Dragon/Yakuza Series.

I REALLY tried to like that game but I just couldn't get through it
S06 is pretty good, 5 was mid because it was basically a budget title and 4 is the best combat but the dub was awful basically the game that force to play the jp voice
star ocean 6 is far from mid..I almost think its a return to form in a way

Star Ocean are really hit or miss. 1 is a solid foundation, 2 is absolutely fantastic, 3 is pretty good but it has some really divisive story elements, 4 has good combat and music but a lot of people weren't happy with the visuals and story, 5 is a mess from what I heard (never played it) and 6 is a decent return to form but not a must play either.
what do you mean. 3 was a fucking masterpiece. Easily 200+ hour game on ps2. Don't think I know any single player RPGs that clock as many hours as that game.
Star Ocean 2/The Second Story is phenomenal. As well, the newest game, Star Ocean: The Divine Force is really good, fun, and absolutely worth checking out too.

Star ocean 1-3 are the best in the series, there’s a polarizing twist in star ocean 3 but I didn’t mind it and star ocean the second story is (justifiably) lauded as the best in the entire series to this day. Of any to play I would suggest play this upcoming remake of it
I like star ocean 6 over 3 to be honest
3 was my first one and still my favorite 2 was definitely amazing and can't wait to replay it

Mario RPG remake!! I paid $79.99 MSRP for this game back in the day when it was new! Hopefully it doesn't cost that much this time. 😅

Was not expecting Metal Gear to appear on the Switch
Star Ocean 2 and 1 are the best in the series in that order, than comes 3 and 4 in that order, then is goes 5. 7 and 6. 2 is not only the best, but absolutely on the level of quality that JRPG's had during the PS1 era. Some argue it's the best JRPG on PS1, and while I don't completely agree, it's close.

Ah...Star Ocean 2. One of my husbandos is from there (Dias ☺). Unfortunately I was too bad at the battle system...I remember having trouble late game and kind of stopped playing. Same with SO3....funny, when I still persist in Elden ring...
Even for Pokemon fans the “news” was so underwhelming and boring. Definitely a L for gen 9 DLC but look at all the amazing Mario games were are getting 😭 Literally an amazing direct carried by Mario
Ill tell you that the star ocean series is HUGGEEEEE on menuing. It has got to be the most tactical game involving going through your menu and customizing literally everything about your character. I had a friend say she wasn't interested in it because of how much menuing it has. It is a gorgeous game, and totally worth playing, but if you can't handle the large amount of time you'll spend in the menus, it's not for you.
if you wanna try the metal gear games I think you should c: just don't touch the NES Metal gear or Snake's Revenge, Kojima hates them.
Hey Crystal the metal gear collection says it's vol 1. If revengance is in the next collection would you could you please play it? You can play the others too, but revengance is the important one. Or at least, the funny one

A dragon quest game was clearly announced in this direct, yet she didn’t cross that off on her bingo sheet and that’s bothering me for some reason. Did she not count it because Dragon Quest monster is a spinoff?
I can’t believe they got Ichiban (Kaiji Tang) to voice Detective Pikachu instead of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) Which I’m salty about
Ryan Reynolds wasn't the original voice in the first game anyway

Star Ocean 2 is an amazing game that frequently gets overlooked because SquareSoft dominated the RPG scene so heavily in the PS1 era. This remake is by far the game I am most excited for this year.

Um actually, the metal gear solid 3d version is not a remake its actually a continuation of the classic metal gear but in 3d.
Star Ocean 2 is pretty much the only one worthy to play in the series. I mean some are at best, decent and can be fun to play to a degree, but 2 is the only one that left me with a lasting memory and I enjoyed it.
The old school metal gears weren’t remade. The 3D ones are actually sequels to the 8 bit 80s games.
She has yet to get bingo. And she cheated a little with counting the splatfest as the dlc
I guarantee you will get massive amounts of enjoyment out of the Metal Gear Solid series.

I never got to play super mario rpg so it would be nice to play this finally. But star ocean 2 second story made me legit scream and i still can't believe it's real. That alone made it the best direct.. at least for me.

So, the voice of Detective Pikachu is Kaiji Tang for the games... He's also the VO for Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon.
Star ocean 2 is the absolute best in the series. There is no contest for every other Star Ocean game. Great plot, incredible music and over 80 endings.
If you ever play a Star Ocean game, make it the remake coming to switch.

Star Ocean 2 is amazing. A true classic. People are a bit harsh calling it the only good one, but it is miles ahead of any other game in the series for sure.

In Detective Pikachu, the titular Pokemon sleuth is voiced in the North American release by Kaiji Tang, an excellent voice artist that's probably most well-known for his work on the Yakuza series as Ichiban Kasuga.
Star ocean the second story is very good, and has an amazing item creation system. Highly recommend it.
