They haven’t confirmed that it was a “white glove lady” by the name of “Ruth Johnson.” People want details. Was Carol involved? Is her mom as innocent as they say (did she give her daughter away is what I mean? I know you don’t know but it’s what everyone is wondering.
@@chloecoppinger8369 Is Carol the roommate? I would think she would have been checked out. I read that the prospective babysitter called and said she was coming over. The roommate gave the baby to her, while the mother was at work.
@@TawnyC_ yes she’s the room mate. Apparently, she talked only once to the brother and he didn’t record it. Now, she refuses to talk. My theory is that the mother who has a history of physically and emotionally abusing her children and verbally abusing her husband, executed an “illegal adoption”. I believe Carol won’t talk because she knows about it and will be looked at as an accessory (even though statute of limitations is up in Texas) On the podcast, she is so cold and detached. She blames the kidnapping on her ex husband for leaving her and not supporting her and Melissa financially. I basically think because of the mother’s history of physical and mental child abuse, verbal abuse, shutting down in situations to the point it concerned her ex husband greatly, history of partying all hours (not saying moms can’t party because I am a mom and I party hard sometimes too), the way she refers to Melissa always in past tense and the way she stated “I’ve moved on” regarding Melissa’s abduction and her stance (no mother really moves on from their child being abducted), and the blame she places on everyone but herself, that she got the room mate to execute the adoption and gave away/sold Her daughter. I think she couldn’t bear doing it herself and that is why she made the room mate do it. I believe based on her comments of how much she blamed her ex husband (who wasn’t even around) on Melissa’s “kidnapping”, her history of abuse, her history of mental health problems and shutting down and ignoring problems excessively, that she couldn’t handle being a single mother. I think when her ex husband came back in the picture and returned to her, that’s when she wanted to grow their family. It’s weird to express that many times that your daughter “replaced” the one you lost? Like who says that about their kidnapped child. It’s also weird how she blames the room mate as well when the room mate (Carol) was doing what the mom said. I believe in protecting all children and yes if it was true, Carol should have followed her gut and protected Melissa. But, a normal person would not place the blame fully on the room mate when she was just doing what she was told. A normal person also wouldn’t blame the father when he was absent in the situation? Yes, he’s shitty for being an absent father but he was physically not there so he had zero control over her being abducted or sold or given away. Idk I feel like her guilt eats her alive that she tries to shift it onto others and blame them. Sorry if this is long and a tangent, I just truly believe the mother knows more and is involved. It’s also extremely weird that the mother can’t remember “anything” she said or did? I feel this is an act as she’s scared her story will be different. I am also aware that people grieve differently, but her euphemisms and words are so incredibly strange. I watched an expert analyze her interview she did with the vanished podcast also and they stated in their opinion, she’s being deceitful or withholding information. We won’t know until they release information. I also believe based on the family avoiding any conversation about the details, that they will try to sweep it under the rug. I wholeheartedly understand if they don’t want to discuss it at the present time as that is their right and Melissa’s story to tell, But it’s also a red flag when you go to such lengths to make sure no entity is credited for finding Melissa. Yes, your genealogy test was the thing that found Melissa but to say none of the podcasts or people who shared her story deserve credit is just weird to me. I feel like they are saying that so they do not feel indebted to answering any questions or providing details. Basically, I think the kids will do anything to protect their mother if evidence supported her involvement. I am hope I’m wrong though and I hope the truth comes out soon. I also hope Melissa receives therapy, due to the trauma of her raising and then finding out she has another family. I also hope she receives support and the family receives family counseling because the mother is an extremely toxic and abusive individual and I would not be able to have a relationship with her if it was my mother, even with the circumstances.
