This dude is great!I was lucky to attend a seminar in CO where Adrienne O brought him out.His methods & approach are fab when it comes to a band bringing a great experience to the crowd, rather than simply a great "musical" performance. HUGE difference to the presentation when he was done with the 'makeover'. I will definitely be partaking of his talents again, once I have a band in my new town, Phoenix! As the movie & his book say, .."take your time, go slowly...

Tom's a legend and his teachings are so simple but make a really huge difference when going from just playing a gig to creating a show with emotional moments. He was genereous enough to share some of his teachings and tell a bit more about his entry into the world of live music production in a recent interview.

the bass player in this band needs to get his act together - like learn to tune it and play in time with the drummer before noodling up high on the neck.

I always thought that there should be something said before each tune. Not enough bands do that to introduce a song.

I think the guitar players feelings were hurt...just a little. And no offense to anyone, but I don't think the lead singer is singing to or about a dude. But, the advice is spot on and very useful.

The guitarist needs to pack his ego away for a moment and just do what he is told for the sake of the class. After he can ignore it if he wants. No point in going to a thing like that and not going with it. They need a new bass player...

Its not ego. Its practicing something until its fluid and second nature and then being told to change it on the spot. Not everyone can battle muscle memory in an instant but they are there out of desire to improve what they do which shows lack of ego.
