Here at Calvey Homestead, we are trying to become as self-sufficient as possible. We grow a garden every year and raise a good portion of our own meat. We also try to support local farms as much as possible. We love cooking, canning, and preserving. We are lucky enough to have other family members who live this lifestyle as well. Great job!! That's a lot of hard work! Looks delicious too! ❤😊
Thank you!! ☺️☺️☺️
Red onion is my favorite too!
Yes! 😃
I really enjoyed this video. I use to can tomatoes, unfortunately, i am now highly allergic. I still make my own pasta sauce but with others tomatoes as I can’t touch them. I too watch the 1870 farmhouse. She had a video about pressure cooking homemade vanilla so you didn’t have to wait 6-9 months for it. My vanilla turned out great. I can’t wait for next was video♥🇨🇦
Hi Tina!! I love her channel! I have done that with my vanilla too while I wait for the other stuff to steep!!! It’s lovely!! I just can’t wait that long to not have vanilla. ☺️
Had friend, allergic to the SAP in mango skin, but could eat the flesh, smoothies.
You did a great job. I dehydrated bell peppers and celery this week. Blessings 😊
Thank you! ☺️ I need to dehydrate more. I don’t think I’ve had it out this season yet. 😮
I use the sauce master to de seed/de skin my tomatoes and it's a dream. No cooking first. And I run the pulp through after the first run until I feel like I've gotten all I can out.
I’m definitely going to give it another go! I might try it with a smaller batch though. It still turned out amazing!
