I was a teen in the 80s and had the great fortune of seeing Steve Perry and Journey at the height of their career. I remember standing in the old Civic Arena with chills throughout my body, and tears runnng down my face swaying back and forth lighter held high. I never in my life thought I would hear a cover that moved me as much as the original... until today. Unbelievable. Thank you for allowing me to relive that memory.

This is one of the most beautiful covers I've heard in quite a while. This song means so much to my lady and I. I may look like a "tough" guy and no song has ever broken me down into tears like this song has. Tears are actually flowing as I type this. The reason being is because I'm in a long distance relationship. If you are lucky enough to have the love of your life right beside you every day, don't throw it away! Cherish every single bit of it through the bad and good. One day you will regret it. We only live once..don't waste it.

Music should move you....having said that I will say that I'm a HUGE Journey fan. This cover moves me to tears, so much emotion in your voice, what a fabulous job! No matter how many times I hear this, tears stream uncontrollably! My fiance found this and shared it with my about 2 years ago and I would love to have this played as I walk down the aisle towards him, the man I've known for half of my life, the man I should have married long ago.....THANK YOU Boyce Avenue for this song as well as all the others, we truly enjoy them!!
One of the best covers I've ever heard. No one will top Journey's Steve Perry, but I think this one's got second place locked up pretty comfortably.

I understand why people wouldn't like this if they're super fans of classic rock - this version is a gorgeous folky version. I think it's important to remember that listeners are allowed their own taste. I personally dig this version :-)

No matter how good this accoustic version is, there will be people out there who don't want to admit it. They insult it, and humble it. Don't be naive. Hoping that a mocker doesn't mock is naive, hoping that an insulter who doesn't insult is naive. Keep working, because working is harder than commenting. But each of us will only be remembered for the work we produce. A person with high musical taste will surely admire this such a good acoustic work. Bravo Boyce Avenue.

Incredible production, Incredible singers, Incredible musicians, but when they choose ROCK songs there is a definite lack of angst & edge that for me takes away from the intent, quality and delivery of the song... BUT, we are Artists, so I LOVE what they do! Keep it up guys!

So beautiful. I've been a Journey and moreso a Steve Perry fan my whole life so it's not often I say this but you guys did a fantastic job and I think Steve would love it. It is so hard to cover his songs because his voice is SO powerful but you guys did it right. You have a lot to be proud of!
