What I think people don't realise is if content creators never made videos criticizing the game, the developers would release the game in an even worse state. Apparently the majority of the wow community believes blizzard shouldn't be held accountable for their poor performance and it's totally justifiable for us to pay 180 dollars a year for an unfinished buggy game.

well it seems a lot of class talents buggeed as well - for example my favourite - BDK with improved blood presence get 0% to rune regen and chance to be critically hit increased by 100% :)
Appreciate the content however mass res for healers =/= have group will travel for warlocks. Classic prog is significantly worsened due to wipe recovery which mass res helps greatly to fix whereas have group will travel is far more impactful (tbt to summoning multiple 40man raids inside Orgrimmar). Not saying HGWT shouldn't exist but giving it to purely Warlocks is a far more impactful choice compared to giving all healers quicker wipe recovery
Some are minor. Guild Levels were a huge feature of Cataclysm. It wasn't perfectly balanced or executed, but it was a satisfying thing to do. I enjoyed it a lot. I wish they capitalized on it, pushing it in a better direction, but instead they scrapped it right after Cataclysm. It was a great opportunity to experience it again. I just logged it and indeed it's mostly broken, even the character stats screen is broken, you literally can't see your stats. You can still track ammos on the minimap, they're not a thing of the game anymore. I can't track half of the quests on the side for no reason. And I've been playing for 15 minutes.
There are always going to be bugs in any pre patch new or old, besides the leave party bug I was dungeon spamming. No use being mad every 5 seconds when things don't go people's ways.
I know there's bugs galore right now I and many others will have spells just randomly dissappear from hot bars and spellbook reloading or relogging don't fix the issue
ive been playing the beta all morning and everything seems fine to me I havent had any issues, If hunters only being able to have 1 pet at a time and no void storage is such a big deal to you then maybe dont play cata

Blizzard choose to put more effort developing Season of Døgshıt, a watered down version of wow with wotlk and cata abilities than a version of classic that has been running and progressing since 2019. It was fun folks
because season of doghit brings a lot of money for no effort. take classic and put in a BUNCH OF UNBALANCED RANDOM spells that cost from lvl 1 to 50 5 mana and do some damage. its just a random copy pasta.

With everything that's completely broken, missing, in the wrong place, even after the beta being around, I just wish the game would run as smoothly as wrath did. I assume it's a bug but only on one character every time I use an ability like flight form my frame rate drops 10 frames and I cannot figure out why. It's super annoying... People defending Blizzard aren't helping either but I'm glad that someone made a video at least. There's complete silence from a lot of wow creators right now.

Yes, when your upper management head inside of ass boss lays out a firm deadline for investors, the customer facing employees in the company have to work extra hard to try and keep the public happy while knowing there was never a chance they would be due to the state of launch. I started playing this game when it first came out long ago. We ran literally everywhere and it took forever to level. I stopped playing for years and forgot password, never used the email and lost everything. I found going back for a visit to the game how much I missed it, how much I lost for mounts lol as I did play up to Panda land HA but it's over kill expensive for a game so won't be playing and remember my Leroy Jenkins days when it was the bomb..
I'm not surprised in the least about any of this. Most of the classic andys were never gonna play cata anyways because "it's just retail now." Vanilla to wotlk is widely accepted and considered to be "real" classic, even wotlk is pushing it for some people. So, blizzard just not caring about the state of cata sucks, but it's not really surprising or unexpected.

I just don't think they care about pre patch. They are treating prepatch like an extended beta, but that doesn't mean cata won't be fun. The content is there, and I have a feeling people are getting very bored of sod, so many sod players will try out cata, and so will retail players as they wait for the new expansion.

one point, we dont speculate why cash flow and mass port is not implemented oO everyone should know it. Cash flow would further enhance the inflation. and mass port is really dangerous in some cases for abuse bosses in raid any so on. What I think you can clearly see with this announcment is, as video said, blizz is really rushing here and scrap things because they doint have time. Otherwise a fairly easy change with mass port would be that all meeting stones behave like mass port and I wish they would implement it and then in retail as well

Because Cataclysm removes thousands of legacy items from the game; which many people have been collecting with the expectation that they’ll have void storage to de-clutter their banks for all the new junk that Cataclysm brings. Because it’s a minor gold sink but one nonetheless. It may not be significant to you but it’s silly to just remove QoL from the expansion that emphasizes QoL. Having the collection journal doesn’t help people that want to actually keep their Soulbound items. Keep in mind, Blizzard isn’t removing anything because they think it’s a good idea. the void storage was never intended to hold nostalgia items, it was always intended to hold items for transmog purposes which is no longer required guild changes are good. Cash flow removal is a huge stopper for cesspool guilds existing. Have group. Will Travel was abused back in the day, would be doubly abused today. that's why they removed it originally in retail lmao, apart from the broken bugs which I do agree with, this video is clearly dooming for doomers sake. Also these guild changes help smaller guilds, who had very little hope of getting the perks as quick as bigger guilds.

remix is timewalking, people need to wrap their heads around it. don't get me wrong I plan to level 4 alts in mop remix but that's all it's actually good for, 556 ilvl alts / rare mount farming(something I have zero interest in) it's not an actual replacement for what we have in the classic side of wow atm
The Wrath client updated to build 54881 which is the beta/ptr build with most of the stuff still broken. They are releasing a live game with a broken beta build.
Don't quote me on this but wrath classic launched on the final balance patch, so I assume they will take the same approach here. So the raids and dungeons will be in their most nerfed state, and same with any class tuning.

I really was looking forward to do the guild leveling with my guildies. For me that is a ton of content that just got scrapped. I know, I still can do content with my guild, but it's not the same without the accomplishment of guild level progression.

With everything that's completely broken, missing, in the wrong place, even after the beta being around, I just wish the game would run as smoothly as wrath did. I assume it's a bug but only on one character every time I use an ability like flight form my frame rate drops 10 frames and I cannot figure out why. It's super annoying... People defending Blizzard aren't helping either but I'm glad that someone made a video at least. There's complete silence from a lot of wow creators right now.

Yes, when your upper management head inside of ass boss lays out a firm deadline for investors, the customer facing employees in the company have to work extra hard to try and keep the public happy while knowing there was never a chance they would be due to the state of launch. I started playing this game when it first came out long ago. We ran literally everywhere and it took forever to level. I stopped playing for years and forgot password, never used the email and lost everything. I found going back for a visit to the game how much I missed it, how much I lost for mounts lol as I did play up to Panda land HA but it's over kill expensive for a game so won't be playing and remember my Leroy Jenkins days when it was the bomb..
I'm not surprised in the least about any of this. Most of the classic andys were never gonna play cata anyways because "it's just retail now." Vanilla to wotlk is widely accepted and considered to be "real" classic, even wotlk is pushing it for some people. So, blizzard just not caring about the state of cata sucks, but it's not really surprising or unexpected.
Blizzard has failed so bad and really showed how bad things are going with them now. i unsubbed 2 weeks ago from auction house bots, so bad that specific bots was being talked about in LFG and after months of reporting nothing ever happened. leveling bots and farming bots dont bother me but BG bots and Auction bots is unacceptable. sub dont run out till feb 2025. i dont even feel like playing till then. Quit cata originally three months in. and im ready to quit now because they released this crap. what a run down company stripped company. never goin back to retail and never gunna play SoD. wtg blizz pat yourselfs on the back. on the bright side, the sun feels ohhh so goood

But telling players to go join a private server meh. If blizzard wanted to those could get shut down also. I mean does blizzard mess up yeah but in reality they didn’t have to do any of this for the community I think most forget that. Classic server, Hardcore Server, and Season of discovery.

I just don't think they care about pre patch. They are treating prepatch like an extended beta, but that doesn't mean cata won't be fun. The content is there, and I have a feeling people are getting very bored of sod, so many sod players will try out cata, and so will retail players as they wait for the new expansion.

My guess is they probably had a massive downturn in subscriptions and this early unexpected release of cata was their way of damage control.

I actually have zero problem with the guild changes. With all of the other time sinks involved this is just one less thing to have to worry about. And considering we are cramming this expansion into 9 months? Give me the perks, ive earned it dealing with these nerds for years.
I as first thought Void Storage was useless. However I have that damn Carrot on the Stick that I keep on every Alt. I just love that thing from way back in Original. Yes, I would love to put it in void storage. And not destroy it.
one point, we dont speculate why cash flow and mass port is not implemented oO everyone should know it. Cash flow would further enhance the inflation. and mass port is really dangerous in some cases for abuse bosses in raid any so on. What I think you can clearly see with this announcment is, as video said, blizz is really rushing here and scrap things because they doint have time. Otherwise a fairly easy change with mass port would be that all meeting stones behave like mass port and I wish they would implement it and then in retail as well

also cash flow started the cesspool of nonstop spam invite guilds with the owner wanting to just farm gold of people leveling and the mass summon was used because people would use it to skip loads and loads of trash in raids.

Btw, it’s not a change. They just haven’t updated the Call Pet 1-5 system yet. They literally said that it’s going to be updated closer to the launch so it’s 100% a bug.

There are over 500 bugs on the GitHub at the moment and we’re 5 hours from launch. Many of these are core class mechanics and major expansion features.

Because it was in the original version of the game. Because Cataclysm removes thousands of legacy items from the game; which many people have been collecting with the expectation that they’ll have void storage to de-clutter their banks for all the new junk that Cataclysm brings. Because it’s a minor gold sink but one nonetheless.
It may not be significant to you but it’s silly to just remove QoL from the expansion that emphasizes QoL. Having the collection journal doesn’t help people that want to actually keep their Soulbound items.
Keep in mind, Blizzard isn’t removing anything because they think it’s a good idea. It’s because they can’t get it working. They’re drowning in bugs right now.

in terms of items people have been collecting they will be appearing in the appearance tab once cata goes live so not sure how you wont still declutter your bank? Pretty sure if you have the item you dont lose it just because it no longer is going to be available?
Void Storage was never really QoL it was a pain in the backside and made the process of obtaining transmog even more labourious then it needed to be, it was just the optimal solution that they had at the time.

HG. WT perk gone is to stop abuse, Cash Flow stops guild invite spam for good. Void storage? Who cares, gimme that collection tab any day over that dumb extra spaces. Guild leveling gone is a good thing in my book, too. We're a small guild of a couple friends and now we're free to continue being so without fomo on guild perks. Worgen can't use the barber? Play a human like every basic b*tch. Or better yet, roll the right faction. And hunter should get their pets removed all together. Nothing good ever came from pet classes anyway.

guild changes are good. Cash flow removal is a huge stopper for cesspool guilds existing. Have group. Will Travel was abused back in the day, would be doubly abused today. that's why they removed it originally in retail lmao, apart from the broken bugs which I do agree with, this video is clearly dooming for doomers sake.
Also these guild changes help smaller guilds, who had very little hope of getting the perks as quick as bigger guilds.
This. I brought that up on another comment. Everyone wanted to be in a level 25 guild. If you were in a guild that just started or was say level 11 then you’d find recruiting very difficult to impossible
They literally give "trophies from past conquests", "vanity holiday items", and "sentimental reasons" as things that Void Storage was intended for in the official Blizzard post announcing the original feature. What are you yapping about?

Hear me out, they set up Cata for failure so they stop at it. MoP is coming as remix, so will legion in future. Cata will be the last classic release, and after that they will keep reiterating on vanilla
Man I hope they have permanent MoP classic realms. I had so much fun that expansion with the farms, being able to get the legendary cloaks, and doing mythic siege of orgrimmar.
remix is timewalking, people need to wrap their heads around it. don't get me wrong I plan to level 4 alts in mop remix but that's all it's actually good for, 556 ilvl alts / rare mount farming(something I have zero interest in) it's not an actual replacement for what we have in the classic side of wow atm

The Wrath client updated to build 54881 which is the beta/ptr build with most of the stuff still broken. They are releasing a live game with a broken beta build.

Don't quote me on this but wrath classic launched on the final balance patch, so I assume they will take the same approach here. So the raids and dungeons will be in their most nerfed state, and same with any class tuning.

You would expect a little bit more from the multi dollar company but you can just wait until pre-patch hits and see that your shit is broken. Pets were straight up not working on the beta last night less than 20 hours before pre-patch. All the content that was cut and and removed or "added in later updates" screams that they are either short on manpower or just dont give a fuck about it and Im not sure which one is worse.
Its not about the hunter pets, its about 100 other things they fucked up and havent fixed.

I really was looking forward to do the guild leveling with my guildies. For me that is a ton of content that just got scrapped. I know, I still can do content with my guild, but it's not the same without the accomplishment of guild level progression.
I think the problem is that you start encountering recruit problems when everyone wants to be in a level 25 guild and you’re only level 10 or 11
That was a big issue back in the day and small guilds died off pretty fast.
