Holy smokes! I watched that Steve Mould video as well and was wondering if it could be done in Blender! Damn! I guess Blender's bullet physics engine is pretty good. Still waiting for XPBD though lol. Such a great thing to see a physical phenomenon being replicated through math and code visually. Great job!
Yeah, Blender's physics engine is pretty good. I have never used XPBD but based on a quick google search, it appears to work based on location and velocity, and therefore won't need the compute burdensomeness of subframes.
This is so freakin cool....huh....saw Steve's video when it came out. I watch his stuff all the time...and then i see this...I thought there might be a chance...but I wasn't expecting it to be so accurate...wow.... Legit, someone tell Steve! haha
Yeah, someone tell steve and get him to promote me. LOL In seriousness, I had doubts that it would work. What it tells me is that whomever created the physics engine in Blender, actually understand physics enough to make simulation mirror reality.

that‘s amazing, good job replicating this phenomenon
Thanks
Hopefully Steve sees this
That would be cool.

Nice informative work, well done👍
Thanks

I also thought it wouldn't work.
@@BlenderRookie very interesting video! 😁
