For risotto, it’s pretty important to use Arborio or another high-starch short grain rice. As the broth cooks the rice slowly, the starch breaks down and that’s how you get a nice creamy texture. If you just use a regular short grain rice you’ll end up making more of a pilaf than a risotto. Still great, just a different texture.
For the drink, you can always mix everything together without the club soda. You can just pour some of the mixture into glasses when people are thirsty, adding the soda before serving. If you know how many servings the recipe makes, you can easily calculate how much of the juice mixture goes into each glass, and even have the proper measuring utensil with it so people can make it themselves when they want a drink. For extra fun, since most people tend to sip a drink for a long period while playing games, you can always pour the mixture into ice cube trays, so people can just add a few ice cubes, orange slice and soda together in a glass. The ice will slowly melt, making it so people can mix and sip with a straw and it will stay a lovely cool temp.
Love this video idea! Seems like someone had the idea for hexagonal cookies and filled out the rest of the book just to bring hexagonal cookies to the rest of the world. Would love to see a Dwelling of Eldervale cookbook one day
Great job! So true about doing these recipes in half the time if you try them again. Whenever I do a new recipe the first time it just takes forever, but the next times go way better because you know what you're aiming for. How many other boardgame cookbooks exist out there???

I think....you just one-upped the various cozy board game channels by cooking in this relaxing music.

Bon Appétit! 👩🍳👨🍳
There is a Ticket to Ride cookbook.
You should've placed the drink in the freezer without the soda and added the soda right before serving.
Thank you for satisfying my curiosity.
