Music is the common name of a series of music creation programs created by Jester Interactive and published by Codemasters. The programs are tools that allow the user to create music. This can be done either by inserting pre-made riffs and other sound samples, or creating original riffs by composing using musical notation (piano roll). It is also possible to create a music video to play along with the created music.

Ordered a copy yesterday, can't wait to use it! ;)
Dude I remember this game. My brother had it. And I only saw it once or twice in my life. It's been I think literal decades since then. And I always thought this game was a figment of my imagination. But seeing this, I know this is what I saw back then. Though the colors were more light grey and blue for ours.
You might be thinking of Music ('98), this is the sequel Music 2000
I used to make some great tracks with this but got frustrated when it used to keep running out of memory.
Those memory cards just weren't enough
We used to make drum&bass tunes on this back in the day. Never used the prerecorded riff samples. Always used the riff editor to use the individual one shot sounds.
It was a real shame that the system wasn't able to handle some of the stuff we were trying to do and you would need a whole memory card if you wanted to use an audio sample. Worst times were when you'd be in the middle of making something amazing and it would just crash losing all of your hard work.
Nevertheless this program was the gateway to music making for us and once we learned to work with its limitations it was awesome. Some of my best memories growing up.
Too right, the lack of memory was soooo frustrating. Awesome introduction to making music though.
Those Codemasters games realy need a remake on Ps4/Ps5 so we can create music in our Share Factory vids and share it on social media! @Sony and @Codemasters Pls read and make this happen!!
So nice to hear these again, I would spend hours in my bedroom making songs!! Dream strings was my favourite I had it in every song I made 🤣🤣
had this way back spent alot of time messing around with this :)
You fuckin liar.. I had it. You just used to mooch a loan of me.
Yeah it would fill an 8meg card in no time
yeah, very nice songs. The Music 2000 on PSX is my very first contact with music making soft. I think making music with emulate it as you here were much easier because the oryginal PSX has only 2 MB of RAM, and every big project need RAM. I think here the problem dosent exist :) Good Work, very nice "2000s Electronic Style Music"
LOL NO Man.. you will not pick any RIGHTS on my videos.. thanks for the offer xD
check out my who dat song on my youtube channel , i made the beat using music 2000 and even rapped over it back in 2001, the song reached number 1 on my local towns radio charts

There are a few of these stock tracks missing from the PC version, the grooverider songs arent there, however, the PC version is much better with nearly unlimited memory.

I want this game for ps1 please i cant find it...
llBaronll Sf There is a pc version of this too ;-)
Music creation could sound terrible sometimes, but other times the jam would sound great, I use to record them onto audio cassettes back in 2000/2001, some of them weren't very good I must admit but others weren't to bad ...,all my tapes disappeared mysteriously and where never seen or heard of again??? True story!
Double Flash!
Ah memories

anyone know how to delete your rift library, without loosing your song. I can't add anymore to my track?
Mike Hussey...Sorry Bro but if you delete riffs that you're currently using in your song the parts of the song which use those riffs will be missing. However, you can delete riffs which were loaded into your Riff Palette but are not being used by pressing the R2 button. It will ask you if you want to remove all unused riffs from your palette, and you just choose "Okay" to do so. This will help to free up some space to add a little more to your song. Another important tip is that if you reuse a riff which you've already used in your song it's takes a lot less memory to copy it from where you already used it & then paste it to the area you want to use it again rather than loading it all over again from your riff selections menu...Hope this helps out so you can finish your song pal...
Аж до слёз.Столько было написано треков из этих сэмплов.
The reason I got into music production right here, good memories
The beginning for me! Still got the mic that came with one of the later editions
