As a former police detective and still in law enforcement I can certainly qualify the following. The lead phrase, “I’ll be honest…” is a HUGE indicator of deception. It’s not 100% but I always take note of what follows that phrase and look for the inconsistencies. But to be honest you guys are the best! 😂 😉

As some1 who has been in retail for almost 20 years now and now a store owner, you hear “no problem” in the younger generation because they dont look at retail that same way as older gens. They look at a retail job as a job, they get paid to do that job and helping you out is part of that job so is no problem for them. Older gens think that they are doing the business a favor by shopping there, and should be thanked for doing so. “The customer is always right” motto is also dead. Now as a small business owner I do thank my customers for coming in because every customer counts for me.
The customer is always right saying drives me crazy. Especially since 1. They are NOT always right and 2. The full saying is the customer is always right in matters of taste.

It's funny how frequently there's a big payout within the first 5-7 mins of each video, then the machine turns on "trickle down mode" where it takes and takes and only gives min-ball bonuses. After dumping so much back into the machine it will increase the ball size after a while and give another good bonus or jackpot.

In fact they would advise me to drive everyone else home so the other kids didn't drink and drive (because they knew I held my liquor well). But we used to laugh among friends, that it was always the kids whose parents absolutely forbade them from drinking who were the ones who got the drunkest and most out of control. We had a local cop who did extra security jobs patrolling the high school parking lot and the grocery store where I worked. Bernie knew us all. One day I remember sitting in my car with some kids just drinking beer all afternoon and throwing the empty cans underneath the car. Bernie started his patrol right when we were leaving, and when we pulled out he saw all the empty cans lying in the parking space. He pulled out after us, and I was freaking out, but he just slowly followed behind us a respectable distance, all the way to my house, and when I parked the car and got out, he just waved and drove off on his merry way. Also, I always think the same exact way as Vegas Matt whenever ANYONE says, "To be honest with you..." and I always call them on it. I say, "So up to now, you've been lying to me?" LOL.
My dad gave me my first drink of beer when I was about age 8. I only took a tiny sip 'cause I knew I wouldn't like it. Then, he left and I never saw him again. I don't know how sad of a story it is; I'm glad I'm nothing like my dad. I drank some until age 24 ,then had my last drink when I was 30. I have not had so much as even 1 sip since year 2005. Sometimes I want to drink but that old man is well crucified. I am pretty sure I'll never drink again. I'm trying to live. I hope, as you do you and I do me, that you'll be well.

OMG that movie you mentioned with Michael Douglas, one of the best movies ever made. Specially in these times (even though it's an old movie), one drop over and that's it. It was the last movie I saw with my dad before he died. I was 23 and he was 49. I will never forget that movie nor the occasion to spend time with my dad.

I was in a crime scene program and one of the classes I took was centered around interrogation and spotting a liar during an interrogation.
