I like how you explain telling a story that nobody else could tell. Really makes me want to go out and pick a tector up and talk to folks around here about digging their properties.
Your videos are never bad no matter if you're finding targets, junk, or relics. I like the story of the hunt and your stories that accompany the videos. So keep filming and showing us everything!
The original "Church Key" was a bottle opener, that kind of looked like an ornate church-key. Think of a skeleton key with a big loop for the keyring. Lots of guys carried them to open bottles of beer. Then later when beer cans become more common, the triangle opener was added to the other end. Then they eventually replaced the ring with the bent pry bar because they were cheaper and easier to stamp manufacture. The old name just stayed with them, even though they no longer resembled a church-key.
That spoon bowl with holes in was half of a tea making device. The missing half had a second bowl which had a sprung hinge. The spoon was filled with tea and used for making an individual cup of tea. I think they were sold in Woolworths stores in the UK. My mother had one 65 years ago.
One of the many of reasons I love your videos is your sharing your finds as you uncover them. We would frequently have mallards nest close to the house and enjoyed "hatching day" as mama would lead a trail of ducklings to the nearest water which was almost 2 blocks away. Thanks for the memories.
The brass nut with the piece threaded into it looks like a split bolt connector missing it's top half. One company that makes them is Burndy. It's a connector commonly used to connect power to houses from the pole. The black balls at the top of the service entry on most homes have one of these inside.
Hello! We enjoy watching your videos very much! It's very interesting to see the things you find in the USA as opposed to what we find here in the UK. Maybe our paths will cross sometime in the future =) Gail & Alex xx
Nice touch with the clips at the end of the video! Always look forward to watching your vids as you never fail to educate us on some little thing. Blessing from Mike Mc in sunny Florida
Love your new permission. The half spoon thing with perforations is half of a tea ball thing. It's used to hold loose tea for steeping. I have one in my kitchen I still use.
That brass nut is actually an electrical silica bronze split bolt. Linesmen used them and can could be explained by the u shaped nail found nearby. Guy most likely had it fall from his bag when servicing the power lines.
Enjoy watching your videos old civil war artifacts. On my property ive always wondered whats in the ground around me use to be part of a farm over 9 acres but what ive found in and around my building is 3 civil war cannon balls another been in the weather so long that it's crumbling that's makes 4 cannonballs and also found some grape fruit shot the cannonballs are alittle over 3 inches in diameter
Please Chig, tell me you re-checked your holes! I thought I saw MOAR treasures! :) As always- great video! Love watching your adventures! :) Thanks for taking me with!!
It is always surprising what you find! 😁👍🏻 I laughed when you said “a gold coin”...and later “an underground railroad rail” Nice bit of history there. Thanks for showing us the settings. I struggle with the noise on the Max sometimes and the settings don’t always work for me, but you know that because of the event last year ;). That mallard hen was a nice surprise. 😊
The whole area seems like it's been dug over and moved around over the years. I would try to find any old trash pits that are might be around there but even they might have been torn out. Thanks Chigg.
What kind of red berries on the ground were they at 8:16.When will you dig a new cave entrance for the property owners; looking forward to that one. It's good you were not skunked.
The nut that you dug by the road ,was half of what is called a spit bolt ,used in the electrical connections of two wires, prob by the electric company
That's cool, you were hoping for a war Nickel then you found one. I was surprised to see a mint mark from the left coast, I would have bet money that it was going to be a P.
Hey Chigg, the spoon bowl that was flatten looks like it has sliver plate. The War Nickel you thought was silver is during the war the nickels were made of silver. Sense this is an old farm the thing you think is a piece of rail could be a scale weight.
Some of the old lead type didn’t have letters or numbers as they were for spacing, like between sentences. A narrow space was an ‘en’ space and a wider space was an ‘em’ space. We used a Heidelberg press to create the lead type. The thing was old and huge and loud. It had a fire in its bowels that would melt the lead. It had a brass looking keyboard that would form the lines of type as quick as you could type. As long as you typed slow and steady. Oh crap... I’m that guy. The old and boring guy. Let’s talk more about Bacardi 151! Thanks, Chig!🙋🏻♂️
I hope you guys enjoy the video.
I like how you explain telling a story that nobody else could tell. Really makes me want to go out and pick a tector up and talk to folks around here about digging their properties.
Always an adventure with You!
Will do, always do!!
Your videos are always amazing and your knowledge and personality are spot on. Always entertaining 👌🏼👏🏼
Aquachigger The Road Kill Cave and Property look Awesome. Never really noticed the big house before.
That silver half egg shaped thing with a bunch of holes looks like it was used to steep tea leaves
That was my thought and came to comment the same.
Yep, that's what it was. My mother had one.
Yep, spoon type tea infuser. Probably not that old.
exactly my thought
Yes i believe it is my mom and dad have a couple different ones
Your videos are never bad no matter if you're finding targets, junk, or relics. I like the story of the hunt and your stories that accompany the videos. So keep filming and showing us everything!
31:23 is a split bolt (missing 1/2) used as a ground clamp by utility company's for over 50 years, still used today

That's how I make my loose tea! It's just a perforated spoon, but the handle and the other half of the bowl portion are missing there!
Found it on ebay for $20. If you want to see what it looks like, it's item 293537264856

This is NOT a terrible video. It shows your normal hunt, your regular method, which is fun to see.
No Chigg we enjoy watching everything you find. We learn the different sounds the detector makes on different types of metals.
Love the house and video keep it up Mr Chigg can't wait for the next one!!!!!
The spoon with the holes looks like it's for making tea.

Thanks for posting. Keeping it real. I appreciate that.
I really like the new camera angles and slow zoom! It's neat to see your detecting technique from a distance. AAA+
Great video Chigg nice to see you swinging and singing again!
Hello! We enjoy watching your videos very much! It's very interesting to see the things you find in the USA as opposed to what we find here in the UK. Maybe our paths will cross sometime in the future =) Gail & Alex xx

Love your new permission. The half spoon thing with perforations is half of a tea ball thing. It's used to hold loose tea for steeping. I have one in my kitchen I still use.
Always like your detecting video's best, thanks chig
Waiting on the next video from this one be safe out there and GOD BLESS you and your family Chigg Amen 🙏
Top 10:D Keep up the great work Chig!
That brass nut with piece inside is part split bolt electrical connector. Great show, thanks 😎
That brass nut is actually an electrical silica bronze split bolt. Linesmen used them and can could be explained by the u shaped nail found nearby. Guy most likely had it fall from his bag when servicing the power lines.
The nail or big steeple was used on wooden U guards. That's where I've run across them anyhow, and explains some of the other related finds.
Another great one! Thanks for sharing!
Always makes my day!
I can't wait to see what ya found out back.
Super, interesting inspection on the garden, house owner will be pleased with the history you unearthed, some nice pieces for sure👍
As always better than anything on tv. Thanks Chigg 😀👍

Awesome finds out there. Great advice, dig it all you never know what cool relics you might leave behind if you leave the iffy signals!
Great video it was like a lot of my hunts. thanks for keeping it real.
Your sure saved us a lot of time with digging off camera , realistic finds
Knew it had to be a war nickel. ;) well done, Beau. ;) atb
Something tells me there is some really good stuff down deep. Neat finds anyway. The old pewter spoon bowl is awesome.
Reminds me of a Clint Eastwood movie the Beguiled. Nice segment Chigg 👍
I like the pre digging
I enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant video as always keep up the amazing work
Cliffhanger Chigg 😂😂😂 Nice S mint mark on the War Nickel! Some good finds! Cave 😉
Forced to listen to song to see the round up, now I'll have that in my head all night long.
I like that song, kind of like Andy Griffith Show Song. A warm and fussy song!!!!
Great job Beau!!
I didn't know the underground railroad was that small. Thanks for the history lesson chigg!
Chiggs RR joke had me in stitches haha
Somebody was practicing casting in the yard with that big sinker.
We call it 'Yard Fishin' here in Georgia. :)
first thing i thought of too scott.
Please Chig, tell me you re-checked your holes! I thought I saw MOAR treasures! :) As always- great video! Love watching your adventures! :) Thanks for taking me with!!
Sweet cave by road house. Great hunt bro, like the big tree area by road. Find the privy area, is also g spot. Great hunt bro, enjoyed.
That's road kill cave! Can't wait to see more treasures from this property. Go to 16:26, sounds like a child's giggle just as you start pin pointing.
Busy yard! Get back to the hole with the pottery bits and the original soil level. Really enjoyed the great quality photos at the end -Nice touch 👍
That's like my day in the field. Least I see the chigg has days like mine.
AquaLand Relics
FYI None of your videos are terrible. I love the stories of old places like that and that hedge...😂🤣
Chig great CIV finds I just got a complete soldiers boot dug from Virginia trash pit that was cut off his leg- near the hospital in City Point
Wow that's pretty cool 👍. What else did you find
Wow!
Travis Callahan I got it indirectly from digger. I’m not on Chig level to find something like that myself!
Few minutes in,,looks like house with the cave on the edge of the road.
I love watching all your videos
your big old sinker could be a weight for an antique clock too
greetings from bavaria
Awesome!! Chiggs!!😊👍
It is always surprising what you find! 😁👍🏻
I laughed when you said “a gold coin”...and later “an underground railroad rail”
Nice bit of history there.
Thanks for showing us the settings. I struggle with the noise on the Max sometimes and the settings don’t always work for me, but you know that because of the event last year ;).
That mallard hen was a nice surprise. 😊
That rectangular piece with the solder marks just looks like metal strapping used for holding lumber together and the like
Just shear knowledge about history is why I want to collaborate! Love the story behind the dig!! Good job Beau!! Keepem coming!! VermontDerek
Chigg's Army!!!
loved this one chigg
Haha yes i do recognize that bush!👍👍
THATS ROAD KILL CAVE I SAW SANTA THERE
Yep you sure did!
@Stepping On Thru mm we thinks we see it mmm yesss
Chig's epitaph: "I really should have had gloves on."
“Road......KILL”!🤣. Love ya Chigg!
maybe the fence wire wad was to keep the lawn from sifting into road Kill cave ; )
That at max would drive me crazy. Too much of a chatterbox. Beau you need a PI machine like Garrett ATX :)
That bottle opener was just like the one my grandpa used in the military (1950 era)
Hey Chigg glad to see another video buddy
Hey aquachigger thank you for the video I enjoyed it
The whole area seems like it's been dug over and moved around over the years.
I would try to find any old trash pits that are might be around there but even they
might have been torn out.
Thanks Chigg.
Those church keys were wicked bad in a bar fight. 🤕
What kind of red berries on the ground were they at 8:16.When will you dig a new cave entrance for the property owners; looking forward to that one. It's good you were not skunked.
Yards been cleaned out !!!
That brass nut thing is what we call a kerney used to connect copper wire together on power lines
We call those big sinkers Kerplunkers. When they hit the water they go kerplunk!
Good video friend!
The nut looking thing is half of an electrical wire splice used mostly for solid wire
big fan from algeria
Chigg referring to dogs as doggos gives me joy
Yep 👍
I know that bush
Looks like road kill cave?
Love ya man
The thing with all the holes is for steeping tea
The nut that you dug by the road ,was half of what is called a spit bolt ,used in the electrical connections of two wires, prob by the electric company
4:11 dirt fishing lol.
I used to practice casting with a sinker in the yard. There's probably dozens of those things buried out front
Somebody most likely dectected this property before. Probably in the 70s with a whites machine. Should be more there
The brass "nut" thing you picked up is a sprayer tip for chemical spraying.
That's cool, you were hoping for a war Nickel then you found one. I was surprised to see a mint mark from the left coast, I would have bet money that it was going to be a P.
I got it right!! My guess was part of a huge horseshoe!! 😆
Grats on the 43 silver war nickel! SF mint too 👍
Probably learn more when I watch the 2nd or 3rd time. Of course, the question followed by the tease.
Road kill cave!!!! The egg shaped half is a tea steeper/brewer, you would put the tea in the egg shape thing that hung from a chain.
Is that Road Kill Cave before you dug it out? P.s. Glad you cleared up the little gold coin mystery! :)
Round silver thing looks like the back of a pocket watch.
5:40, definitely looks like a typeset spacer used in printing.
The weird nut is a piece of a split bolt used for electrical connections
Big sinker maybe someone just put new line on his fishing reel and was working it in.
and then the cat attacked it
Great video aqachigg
Hey Chigg, the spoon bowl that was flatten looks like it has sliver plate. The War Nickel you thought was silver is during the war the nickels were made of silver. Sense this is an old farm the thing you think is a piece of rail could be a scale weight.
There’s a cave under that bush if I remember right
Randle Richardson Roadkill Cave...
I knew you was at the Road Kill Cave as soon as I saw the bush Chigg 👍

Olde Chigg is full of surprises . Nobody knew he could speak fluent duck.
