Just as an aside, 154CM does not mean 154 centimeters. 154CM is a type of steel. If it was actually a measurement, 154 centimeters is just over 5 feet long (60.63 inches). I can tell you from experience that the knife is much shorter than 5 feet 😆. I have a Benchmade Nimravus, after wanting one since the early 2000s, and can vouch for it being a spectacular knife. I used to have two of the SOG Pentagon knives, but they were the original version, with the blades being regular on one side and serrated for their full length on the other side. The Cordura sheaths that they came with were my only complaint with them, and SOG’s kydex/plastic sheaths available back then weren’t much better. I’d love to try out their new model- I prefer the look of the old version, but obviously how well it functions is what really matters. The checkered rubberized handles were extremely comfortable and gave them a totally non-slip grip. Hopefully the new ones are just as comfortable- they look good, and the sheaths look a lot better as well. Thanks for the video!
Great Video. I completely agree with your No. 1 pick. Great video. I have several on your list, but there are some I didn't know about. Thanks for the video!!!
When it comes to steel, 154CM its a steel type. I know. It’s my one of my favorites. “CM” doesn’t stand for “centimeters". It’s a special high carbon stainless steel, main components besides iron being Carbon, Chromium, Manganese and Molybdenum. Also cryogenically treated for 30 days. Also, a hint that “CM” might not stant for centimeters is that a one meter and a half blade would make a VERY long sword, not a tactical knife.
I don't rely on just one knife. I wouldn't want to try and cut a branch with a Filet knife and I certainly wouldn't use an axe to cut meat. Different situations, different needs. I can tell you that having several different types of blades is a good thing. I have at least two knives or other in EVERY Bud Out Bag that I have especially in medical and tool's.
Wholesale Blades is the renowned distributor of the best military knives. Our military knives exhibit the razor sharp blades and top-notch construction to turn any tactical game on at very cheap rates.
That's more marketing than actually truth. Most soldiers, who carry any blade, carry a Victorinox or a Leatherman multitool. None of the brands you mentined, have any of their knives, official contract with any army. That being said, there are better military knives, than the knives the brands you mentioned make. TRC Knives Mille Cuori for example. Winkler uses, kind of cheap steel, Bark River ruins their heat treatment with their fasts belts when they remove all that steel to create the convex edges their knives have. Half Face is 100% custom knifemaker, so it doesn't have a place in this talk.
@@NikosKatsikanis Νίκο, τι κάνεις? Are you a Greek-American? Common soldiers, like those who serve for a little while, usually don't carry knives, or they carry a Leatherman or a Victorinox here and there. As for permanent personel and Special Forces, they carry mainly the same but there it's way more common to see someone carry a multitool or a knife. As for knives, quality is like this: Custom made and semicustom are the best quality in that row, then it is a big gap and lastly the mass produced knives. Survive knives GSO in the USA and TRC Knives in Europe, make the best semicustom knives. As for Custom blades, that's 100% a personal choice and some thousand of great makers around the world!

Not having a subject on a thumbnail shown anywhere in the actual video, should be automatic demonetization. But luckily, all youtube cares about is persecuting channels that it disagrees with politically, so you're good.
Okay, since I am somewhat new to the knife game, if you were to have your pick of just one survival/bushcraft knife, and money was no object, what would you choose? Is there a clear winner? 'Cause right now, that Operator7 and the Benchmade are looking really good.
Buy from a reputable manufacturer that focuses on military or law enforcement people. Don't bother with those outrageous fantasy or Rambo knives. A solid bushcraft knife is not the same as a fighting knife. A survival knife has to cut, hack, chop, large enough to split wood rounds or branches fir firewood, sharp enough to make fine slices to make a feather stick or fuzz stick to start kindling fire. If necessary, the knife needs to he big enough to be "baton-ed" to split wood by using a stick or rock to pound thr blade through the wood block. It has to be strong enough and wide enough to help yiu dig for roots, drive into the ground to start tent peg holes in the ground, or help dig to make a fire stove in the ground. A saw back is good but not necessary. I like a saw back. Tops make super durable and tough knives. Pricey but just indestructible. Thick 1/4" inch blades, sharp but not Razor sharp out if thr box. I have several Tops knives. Benchmade makes premium folders and straight blades. I have several Benchmades. Razor sharp out of thr box. Solid construction. Quality components.

Wow you pronounced Ka-Bar so wrong. Even though it is spelled KaBar, it is pronounced K-Bar. Do your home work. And yes the Ka-Bar is my number one pick. Along with my Cold Steel Recon Tanto, and my Khukuri, with a six inch blade, made in Kathmandu Nepal. I have other knives that are bigger, but these three are much easier to carry. Got my Ka-Bar back int he early 80's. Blade is powder coated brown, and looks so much better then the blued blade.

You're in fantasy land if you buy one of these because you think that you might need it for a knife fight just like in the movies. So many Rambo's in here with their "tactics" and "combat" and shit.
No matter what they say unless it's Full Tang Steel in other words the metal goes all the way through the handle and unless you were able to sharpen it with a whetstone AKA not acid etched it is an absolutely useless knife even if they say it's fantastic full blade Steel capability of being sharpened you do not want to go anywhere without Steel
