I’ve noticed when I take naps during the day that after waking up that it feels like my ears opened up like they had a sense of relief during sleep. Everything sounds much clearer. So your explanation helps!

I was born with a profound hearing loss in both ears. Sleep quality or lack of sleep has never impacted my hearing or ability to lip-read. Hasn't been a problem for me. Interesting topic.

@DefiniteHearing It could well be that there is a correlation between hearing loss and quality of sleep.
The worse your hearing loss is, the better you sleep anyway (no noise can wake me) so are able to function on just a few hours' rest.
I do notice my eyesight is fuzzier when tired but I don't think my hearing is good enough to be able to appreciate any "fuzziness" when fatigued. Thanks for posting this video, has certainly given me food for thought!

Also Creatine and Cayenne water can possibly improve brain function-brain energy improving hearing slightly.

Can confirm CNS is influenced by those two things. Amino acids and the micronutrients we all need play an amazing part in the brain; it’s why we eat. Exercise allows some of these things to pass into the brain thought blood brain barrier. Equally as important is rest. No surprise that proper rest is associated with better hearing and cognitive function.

Poor sleep also makes my tinnitus worse even though I'm wearing hearing aides
