The Saxo in this video, registration Y54 TDP only lasted 3 years, it was first registered on 16th March 2001 and last taxed in March 2004... I can't find any info on the Corsa registration J6 VXL as the plate is a Vauxhall promotional plate... But the Fiesta is still on the road, registration X129 PVX, it was registered on 1st February 2001 and is taxed and MOT'd as of today, 4th December 2016.. And no, I have nothing better to do with my time today.
saxo is easily the fastest in both corners & straights, corsa is for those who want comfort and fiesta is for those who dont know better. Power to weight ratio is everything.
G00S3Y23 Mate honestly i owned a Saxo VTR i think it was a pile of wank, drove fucking horrible, bits kept breaking the steering wheel isnt even in line with the driver and both the VTR and the VTS rust like fucking old bucket underneath. Im part of different saxo clubs all we get is ECU issues, steering racks breaking, suspension giving up. Engines blowing. Yeah in a straight line it would have a zetec (only by a fraction) but if you went for say 20 runs against each other, i bet you £100 something would go wrong with the VTS, well as the Zetec S? You can rant the bollocks of that lil pocket rocket all day long =D No chance, absolutely no chance. And what did you say to SoundzUk? Rust?! =D Mate you chat absolute bull.
I own a saxo vtr for over 8 years till this day and I got an Audi S3 to two of my pride and joy , and if I ever did sell my saxo I'd be more upset then the Audi I don't know why ha. Where shall I start hmm.... if you have the right mechanic for the saxo believe me this car will never let you down unless your a twat.... if you treat any car like shit , then don't blame the car simple. I tell one thing straight the saxo might be small but if you get it in sliver and blue and have it lowered abit get some decent rims , the car looks beautiful. The performance and handling is much better , and it's 2017 !! in few days and gess what I still fukin own a SAXO VTR !!!!!!!!!!
this bloke had clearly decided he didn't like the saxo at all. obviously everyone should by the fiesta cause it has bigger back windows. in part 2 he says the fiesta is easy to drive round the track and that's purely because its slow as shit. ive got a saxo vts, full service history and everything works as it should and nothings broken. nothing wrong with build quality if you look after it. Saxo is by far the better car of these
Lol buying a car thinking like a 50year old. VTS is by far the fastest, the better handling, a true hot hatch. My grandfather would find this review very interesting.
I would rather have the Corsa. Its bulkier than the Saxo and Fiesta meaning its probably going to protect you more in a crash where as the Fiesta and Saxo look like they would crumple like a tin can! The Corsa SRI had the most spec too!!
+BBGrooves1 Of course. Corsa was a modern Project then, Saxo and Fiesta would be replaced one year after. With C2/C3 and 2002 Fiesta the challenge would be different, though I would doubt what one I'd choose. My mother has a 2007 Corsa (in Brazil the Corsa II was the last generation until 2011) and the car feels really solid.
+Anthony Pilkington ...What are you on about? You clearly know fuck all. The Corsa is the slowest in a straight line, the saxo is by FAR the fastest in a straight line and has the best chassis of the 3, hence why they are used as cheap track cars. In fact, the saxo's 0-60 time (7.6s) is better than most modern sporty hatchbacks.
Ha best chassis of the three....and I know fuck all, the amount of cheap zetec s track cars out numbers the amount of saxo's 10/1 you spud, 3 track days in the past 2 months 9 zetec s and 7 pumas (same chassis) and 2 saxos says everything, I suggest going to a few track days before passing comment
Sorry but the fiesta isn't faster, the vts isn't far off the pace of a ph1 clio 172 and somehow I don't think the zetec s can match that. They probably rust at about the same rate. Frankly 103bhp from a 1.6 with vvti is appalling
a northern motor cyclist (power ranger) who clearly knows deck all about 90's hot hatches. sorry steve, but you're full of shit, the vts is in a different league to the other two, a vtr would still run rings around them...
Had my MK5 Zetec S for 18 years and love it. Such a fun car to drive and very reliable.
Had a 2001 Zetec S in imperial blue. Bought at 96000 miles. Loved the car for the 3 years I had it. Like a little go kart and went like a rocket.
I bought an x reg Zetec-s new. Hammered it for 140k miles in just over 4 years. Loved it 😁

John McMahon untaxed as of June 2018. Mot expired in March 2018

@@MattysCars also how did you find out

Saxo still never been mot'd
The saxo and fiesta is just gorgeous!!
THATS MY ZETEC-S okay well i own that one now lol.
U still have it

TheSoundzUK enjoy you're rust

Thank you for sharing, it made me choose the Zetec over the Saxo some time ago :-)

Is this 2001 topgear
Wow
2017
Look at these cars!

Fiesta!
@jamesduckworth15 - what TV programme was this from? Do you know the Transmission date too?
I've heard that music in the background in a factory video of the Smart car lol, I wish I could know the name.
does someone know how much was the price for new corsa c in 2003 (in euros)?
Lol buying a car thinking like a 50year old. VTS is by far the fastest, the better handling, a true hot hatch. My grandfather would find this review very interesting.
Fiesta any day cause the Vauxhall will brake down and the saxo is just shit

+Mr. Moon Sorry, Corsa C was the last in Brazil, the same as in the vídeo.
Crumple like a tin can? Watch the Nissan Micra K11. That's what you call tin can. Airbag didn't bother going off
It looks so boring and non sporty
Fiesta corners, Corsa Straights, Saxo for people with no taste, enough said
Did like the Saxo but I take the Ford Fiesta.
the VTS would thrash the other two hands down. The zetec S isnt even VTR 8v pace
Aside from the fact the fiesta is miles faster through the twisties and has a better build quality.....

lol my first car was the Corsa SRi
g, u think Peugeot will return 2 America?
It never came
The Fiesta Zetec S should be in competition with the Saxo VTR, not the VTS.
What language is he speaking?
he used to work on topgear with jeremy clarkson
God, he's from Yorkshire.
I know this show probably predates it but a Corsa Exclusiv would have destroyed the Fiesta & Saxo in terms of quality and looks. IMO anyway...
what is this guy talking about? the saxo shouldn't even be compared... it is much faster, looks better and just the general clear winner
I don't know if I'm a "jonk person", but I drive a Fiesta anyways.
Sorry but the fiesta isn't faster, the vts isn't far off the pace of a ph1 clio 172 and somehow I don't think the zetec s can match that. They probably rust at about the same rate. Frankly 103bhp from a 1.6 with vvti is appalling
THE FIESTA WON ????!!! MDR !!!!!! TALIBAN !
im getting a 2007 fiesta zetec for first car
You'd have to have been a clueless clown to have bought that French shite Saxo at the time. The Corsa was the best choice by miles.
You dont know about cars, also you can go and fuck yourself!
Why don't you just explain about the cars in front of you
saxo vts is 100 times better than both of these
Did I hear that right £12000 for a saxo
Yup. Back then in early 2000s too.
Why?
wtf? gay version of Jeremy Clarkson...
a northern motor cyclist (power ranger) who clearly knows deck all about 90's hot hatches. sorry steve, but you're full of shit, the vts is in a different league to the other two, a vtr would still run rings around them...
the saxo has about 100 horses and I'm sure the pwr to weight ratio is better than the other two
