gummy bears: most essential part of track day prep

This video is dope because I wish I could kinda go back and track some thoughts on my first track day (I think I actually kinda did in a previous video) but I'm inspired to share some updated thoughts too, I'm on my 4th event I think and I've already learned so much
Good track packing list. One more thing, next time take a wheel chocks so you can immobilized your car and let your rear brakes cool off
funny you mention this because my instructor told me the same thing but i still forgot after my first session lol. it was only for a sec before i realized i pulled the e brake up but that muscle memory is a hard habit to break on track days.
Have fun out there! Get an instructor if you have the opportunity. Also remember to bring extra oil, and check it in between sessions.
Lol the track day was on dec 9 but thank you for the advice! Should have my noob track video up by tomorrow morning
@Zaahid Rahman hope it was a good experience
@@johnss2k434 thank you, it was fantastic. not sure if youre local but if you ever see me at thunderhill or a meet say hi!
I use my spoon wheels on my s2000 for the track lol.
But yeah that helmet is perfect.
Just wait until you want to take out your S2000 motor and put in a K-series. 👍
cr93 or sw388!? i like em both but the sw388 will always hold a special place in my heart

Get some steal braided brake lines to. Helps a lot and it’s cheap
After those coil overs try some Nitron R3’s . It was love at first sight for me.
@@BJ-wo4mi ill consider those in the future after i hopefully become a much better driver with tons of seat time. Tbh itll be a pretty long based on how my first day went 😂. I have a lot to learn…. Lol
S2000 owner here as well. Definitely want to track it one day. Thunderhill's about 3 hrs away for me. Do you have another car to track first and get some experience before taking your S2000? I'd probably go with my Civic first, so I can push it harder without the fear of recking my S2000. Let us know how your track experience goes and take lots of pics/videos for us!
Thanks for watching! I have my daily driver mk7 gti but i wouldnt pass up the opportunity to take my s2k out for my first track day. It was a great experience and i think the organization you choose to go with will make a big difference. I think thunderhill east is a great first track regardless of the 3hr drive because its a pretty “safe”. Lots of open space meaning not many walls to crash into. Its also a bit of a tight track, not a ton of high speed straights if any. You can out my video on my first track here:

My first event, I wasn't even tracking tire pressures and last event, I finally found my line at my local track which is amazing to say... I think in another event or two I'm going to start tracking times
@@jaelnava_ my first time out was def information overload. Just so much to look out for and no muscle memory developed yet lol. Looking forward to going back to thunderhill in the spring. Ngl i got hyped after your first couple track videos lol.
