    THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO STUCK AROUND TO THE END! I was genuinely surprised by how many "thinsulate" comments the video got. I was also cracking up reading em all 🤣. A winner has been picked! We'll do this again in a future video for sure!

    Helped my friend do this on his S2000. The biggest change we noticed was actually how well it kept sound inside the car (music) and a reduction in rattling. Doors also felt significantly more solid.

    I did a similar thing to my Integra Type R. I l limited my sound deadening to 10kg of weight as I didn't want to add too much weight. Was much nicer in the cabin even with such little sound deadening added. I don't drive my S2K a whole bunch and accept it as a loud car anyway being a convertible but nice to know you can quiet these cars down too.

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  10 месяцев назад

      i took the weight into consideration as well and i added a similar amount of around 8 kg in total to my s2000. well worth it!

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  10 месяцев назад

      man, you're right! I did film it but forgot to put it in. I think the older your car, the bigger the difference will be. in my low-ish mileage ap2 the doors closing sounded better but not by a whole lot. more of solid thud for sure. I imagine if you have an early year ap1 you'll notice a bigger difference. thanks for sticking around til the end.

    By replacing my soft top to an OEM hardtop. I noticed a huuuge decrease in sound. I thought my suspension was horrible turns out my soft top just made a munch of all annoying sounds through rough roads. Hardtop definitely is a plus and so much lighter then softtop

I'm doing research as I'm collecting a back log of parts for an s2000 I dont have yet but hope to buy soon. Your approach is how I've always modified my cars, the modern OEM+ look and feel. I was on the verge of trying this before I noticed my rear wheel bearings were making noise and fixing that helped my case a lot. I still may try it. The thinsulate is a nice touch as well. How much of the Kilmat did you have to buy in total to do the whole car?

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  10 месяцев назад

      i bought 2 packs of the 36 sqft but i really only used 1. you'll need two packs if you want to do more coverage than i did.
