floyd did absolutely nothing wrong, no one should be forced out of the closet before theyre ready. if this man is genuinely happier in the church and married to a woman than he would be if he was out and the church rejected him, then its the right thing to do. bloom needs to get off her high horse and realise not everyone thinks the same way she does.

He's not bisexual. Like I get your point but this is a very real documented thing that happens in the Mormon community and has nothing to do with bisexuality.
Floyd did nothing wrong. In fact, he helped out in the best way he could. The other doctor who ranted at him for a minute straight was just behaving in a pretentious, holier-than-thou manner and being an annoying a-hole.
Seems like he really tried to help his patient not only in a physical but also a psychologial way and if his believes are so important why should someone try and take that away from him. Just because it´s not okay in her eyes doesn´t mean that it shouldn´t be handled that way and the comparison of "What if someone wanted to shoot himself" is not fitting as it wasn´t about life or death but on how someone wants to life THEIR life.
She's doing exactly what she accused Floyd of doing: Making life decisions for him. He wants what he wants, not what she thinks he should want.
This is a very specific title with a very specific scenario. This definitely happened 😢
He needs to toss religion out. There is nothing wrong with reading a bible or wanting to follow Jesus. But religion isn't going to help you with that.
When they were getting ready to defib him, the one said 'shocking'... I thought she said it sarcastically, like 'He's back in a bad way... shocking...'

Usually, we try to be nice, but what the mission president did is extremely wrong. I can understand where the patient is coming from.
Not to the LGBT community.
As a Christian ( not Mormon, they are something completely unrelated to Christianity despite some very basic similarities), I can tell you there's a lot to be concerned with in regards to the practices and beliefs of the church.
I'm not saying Christianity on my side is perfect in any way, it's flawed because...humans...but there are extremely damaging behaviors and indoctrination going on with Mormons and its very similar to cults or religions like Scientology (which should be considered a cult)
He should go to the accepting unitarian church
There are two huge issues with this story. One, the leader wouldn’t have walked out on him. And second, no leader over a mission would do what you portray in this story. And lastly, missionaries don’t wear anything except white shirts. Having had a front row seat and similar experience, you should have done your homework before airing that story. I just lost all the respect I had for Shawn Cassidy and his staff. It was blatantly wrong and factually incorrect.

i think that’s the point though. they are showcasing that situations like this aren’t cut and dry. it would be awesome if everyone could just live life happy and accepting who they are but some people aren’t ready for that journey and that’s okay. the patient clearly has a passion for his beliefs and there may come a day where he no longer wishes to be apart of that group and that is great but until then the doc provided him with the best case scenario in this situation.
