Hoping someone sees this - does this keypad have the ability to close the door without pin? Every other remote keypad I have ever used can close a door without entering the pin. I tried to push the up/down while the door is open but no luck. Anyone know?
@@daddoesvideosinteresting. Thank you. All three of my previous homes dating back to the late 90’s you just hit the button when it’s open and closes. Greet feature if you leave the door open and ask the neighbor to close it for you and don’t need to give them your code 😊
@attackb5349 Hah. Yup. You can always install a Chamberlain MyQ remote garage door opener. Takes less than 20 minutes to install and you can open and close your garage door from your phone from wherever you are.
I find this keypad to be a piece of garbage. Overhead door installed an opener with this pad on our home when it was built 9 years ago. It has never worked well. To make matters worse, the OHD customer service was never stellar and went to awful after they were purchased by DH Pace.
Maybe they have improved their technology. I’ve constantly taken the thing apart and used a pencil eraser to clean the contacts and it doesn’t help much. You have to enter the key code several times and keep working with it before you can get the door to open or close. Good luck with it.
I looked and looked for a good video on how to do this.. THESE ARE THE BEST INSTRUCTIONS YOU WILL FIND. thank you very much
Hah. Well, thank you. I’m glad you feel that way!
Totally agree with you. Excellently explained.
@RandyMoore-rn1zv so kind of you. Appreciate that!

Not that I’m aware of. Every keypad I’ve ever had/seen needs the code to open or close the door.

Good to know! I haven’t had any trouble yet at all - for whatever that’s worth.

@@TigerJon02 Interesting. Appreciate the heads up. Hopefully, I don’t have to deal with it!
