📌 What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a unique URL that directs customers to a product page or a company's website. The affiliate partner gets a commission every time a site visitor clicks that link and makes a purchase.
So, how to add affiliate links to a WordPress website? There are two methods to do so.
📌 Adding Affiliate Links Manually
With this method, you'll use WordPress's block editor, also called Gutenberg. This involves adding affiliate links to each website post you want.
As Amazon is one of the most popular affiliate programs in the market, you may also wonder how to add Amazon affiliate links to WordPress.
The easiest way is by utilizing Amazon SiteStripe, which lets you add affiliate links without opening your Amazon Associate homepage.
📌 Adding Affiliate Links With a Plugin
In this video, we use the Easy Affiliate Links plugin.
Using an affiliate link plugin is ideal for websites with a significant amount of affiliate links. It helps manage them through one dashboard and automatically tracks their performance.
There you go! Now you know how to add affiliate links to a WordPress website.

Thank you, very helpfull information. Regarding the the Easy Affiliate Links plugin: it looks very handy indeed, but after placing the links on the page i have the text/link only but not a picture of the product, right?
So it's more work to realize this matter if i'm right. Or is there any other way to fix the link and the picture of the product will be included?
Thank you
u are the best, thanks victoria ✌🏻
You're welcome 😊
Well understood

Would adding the plugin slow down my blog?
I am already having issues with my blog loading speed (Could you point me to any videos or resources that could help with that?)
Thank you!!!
Hey there, Paloma! You can start by watching this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/ieAlstnfNJA/видео.html&t
When it comes to plugins, it really depends on the type and necessity for your website. While it's true that some plugins can slow down websites, there are others that may be necessary for your website to function properly. It's important to carefully consider the purpose and impact of each plugin before installing it. This way, you can strike a balance between functionality and performance optimization. 💜
Thank you ! how do I make the Affiliate link as a Banner or to look like an AD and not a text link ?
Hey there!
In that case, you could try using a different WordPress plugin or use HTML and CSS to create a visually appealing element on your website with your affiliate link 🤔
Hii victoria, if i using affiliate plugin then am i able to show image also with link (just same like manually)?
Hello 👋
Yes, if you are using an affiliate plugin, you should be able to display images along with your affiliate links. The specific functionality and options may vary depending on the plugin you are using 🤔

Hey there 👋
In this case, we'd recommend using WordPress as it'll give you more flexibility and freedom to design your website and you'll have quite a few methods to add your affiliate links to the website 🚀
I work with Elementor on pages and gutenberg for post .... I add afilliate links by html custom blocks using scripts .... but they don't appear on the website .... i don't know if wordpress blocks affiliate links
Hey there, have you checked if the code is correct?
@@HostingerAcademy I finally got the solution. The plugin Lite Speed Caché was blocking. Thanks!
Hi Victoria.
My problem is that when I add the test from the link with HTML (text + image) it doesn't show the product but a white emply box.
How can i solve this?
TY
Hey there, have you tried using the Easy Affiliate Links plugin?
@@HostingerAcademy Actually the solution was quite simple (and stupid from my part) disable adblock. TYVM for your interest
@@hosrakkiham395 I got it. thanks.
Please make another video on the same topic by using the Hostinger website builder.
Hi, Vikas!
Thank you for the suggestion! We've passed this to the team for further review 😊
I would be also very interested in this kind of video
What should I do if the Nofollow and sponsored buttons are not showing up when I try to link an affiliate link into my blog post? I tried Yoast SEO plugin also, but these two button still not showing up when I link a website to a word.
Hi there,
If the Nofollow and Sponsored buttons are not showing up when you try to link an affiliate link in your blog post, try checking your plugin settings or updating your plugins.
Ensure that your theme and WordPress are up to date. If the issue persists, you might need to manually add the rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored" attributes to your links in the HTML editor 😉
@@HostingerAcademy thank you for your answer, that can work.
Is there anyway to keep the user on my website and get him to buy it on my website withoit leaving using affiliate?
Hey there! If you're interested in becoming an affiliate partner, typically you earn a commission for every purchase made through your referral link. However, if your goal is to sell products on your own, then you'll need to set up your own ecommerce store. It's important to determine whether you want to promote products as an affiliate or establish your own online store to sell products directly. Both options have their own benefits and considerations. 💪
Hi! I'd like to tell you that I have followed your instructions on how to do it on my website, however, I click on any product to test it but I keep seeing "Product not found" on another website that I am an affiliate with. I want to know why it is not even working properly. I have contacted the company and asked for help but hear nothing from them yet. I am getting very frustrated... please help! Thanks!
Hi, Kathleen!

missing some main points of instructions because of lacking the practical technique, It will be great and save time to listen if your channel have more steps by steps straightly instead talking because we can read from Help Center of Wordpress. Thank you
Mam, if we do both text and image so it's a tiny icon for a single page what should we do and add more links to the same page?

Hey Amine, you can follow the steps in this tutorial to add Google Analytics to WordPress: ruclips.net/video/6ytNkNIETkQ/видео.html 😊
@@HostingerAcademy oooh yes thank you so much 🙏
My wordpress setup is not the same. I don't know how to add image affiliate links. Anybody else has this issue?
Hey Val, which WordPress version are you using? If you found problem in adding the images, consider checking this tutorial: www.hostinger.com/tutorials/wordpress-media-library-tutorial 🙏🏻
why is my amazon afflilate photo so small and bad quality? I always choose "large" and it comes out terrible
Hey Camila! The size and quality of the Amazon Affiliate product photos depend on several factors, including the settings you have chosen, the resolution of the original image, and the dimensions of the image container on your website. Make sure you have selected the largest available size for the product image and that the container size on your website is large enough to accommodate the image 🙏🏻
It was a good job..... but I wish you went a little slower and added some more details about each step.
Hey there, thank you so much for your feedback! If the video is too fast for you, you can also use RUclips's playback speed feature to make it slower 🙏🏻
Great video, I just started all this and have the latest version of Wordpress etc. it’s even easier now to add the link. However I’m struggling to add my affiliate photos since Amazon doesn’t allow us to save images I need to do it from the link. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong….can you help?
I forgot to say I’m using Elementor also
I love madam
I spent times to understand but not be easy to follow at the first time, The channel is useful but time-consuming. I wish this channel less talking but more practical images to be easy follow up, maybe that way it will have more effective. Some points were not shown steps by steps clearly, we can read from the articles of wordpress help center, therefore i will appreciate if on the youtube, there are more practical instructions than just talking. Thanks.

Hey there, thank you for your feedback! You can also change the playback speed to make the video slower 🙏🏻
The video is supposed to be about how to add the links!!!! You go on a rant about everything else to prolong the video. Good luck
