Hi Mac & Sarah. Thanks for the great introductions to wonderful sites. Have been to some and we are trying new ones this year; eg Old Oaks. We want to introduce you to a campsite that won't necessarily catch your attention, but is well worth a stay. Called Pipcott Fields in West Down near Ilfracombe. A very lovely family owned and run site, now run by the daughter and son-in-law Doug. This couple live on-site and are tirelessly dedicated to keeping this caravanning field immaculate. It is a large single field (slightly sloping) with pitches all round the perimeter. Above it are two large fields (enclosed) for Dozer. All pitches have EHU with water nearby. However, 4 have made into fully serviced. Free WiFi and recently renovated shower & toilet block that now houses 4 self contained suites; along the lines of Concierge Camping. The village is quiet and lovely with a great pub and community shop. Nearby, you have Ilfracombe, Morthoe, Woolacombe and Lynton & Lynmouth. Check it out. We've been at least 10 times .... ! Finally, just a word of warning about your trip to Black Knowle in Brockenhurst. The New Forest is a know Alabama Rot area. Dogs frequently die of this awful disease every year. Happy wanderings, Garry & Paulette (&Dylan)
Hi Gary, Paulette & Dylan. Thanks for watching! Wow the site near Ilfracombe sounds incredible, that's definitely going on the list for future stays. And we haven't been to that area for a few years so a good reason to go!
Thanks for the advice and heads up regarding Black Knowle, we'll definitely take that into consideration.
Thanks again and all the best
Mac, Sarah & Dozer
Hi Mac, Sarah and Dozer
Although now well into our seventies we recently found your videos on you tube.
We retired from caravanning a few years ago now but have really enjoyed seeing several of the sites we have stayed at in the past, Brecon, Pembrey, Chew valley etc.
We see you are going to Black Knowle just outside Brockenhurst. A great site right in the middle of the forest, a really nice walk into Brockenhurst but probably not for Dozer now he is an elder statesman. Plenty of nice cafes, pubs in Brockenhurst and a fantastic bakers with cakes to die for.
Another thumbs up for Dulverton club site with a pub just outside the site on the river. Superb food and an easy walk out the back of the site to the pub.
Merrose farm and Tintagel both in Cornwall with sunsets and sea views to die for also highly recommended.
All the best to you and keep the videos coming!
Dave and Ali
Hi Dave and Ali, thanks so much for your message and for the site recommendations! We'll pop them on the list. Yes really looking forward to Black Knowle, thanks for the tips 🙂 We're so happy you found our channel, thanks for watching and all the very best

Hey guys, we are brand new to caravanning and my wife found your channel for me to watch. You seem great, my 1st clue was being a dog owner 🤣 anyways we’re Hampshire based and looking forward to doing some local adventures first before heading out to the wild. Hopefully we bump into each other at some point. Keep up the great vids 👍🏼 Dan and Karla
Hey Dan and Carla, thanks so much for watching and getting in touch!! Great to hear you've taken up caravanning, it's such a great way to get away. We love it and so happy we took the plunge! Oh I hope we do bump into each other, we certainly are in the right area!!

Ooh we'll have a look! Thanks for watching
Oh, sorry guys, the previous comment should have said “Cayton Village”. All of the sites have lovely walks for Dozer to enjoy too. Happy caravanning from Amanda and Paul.👍🤗
Thanks Amanda and Paul 🙂 Dozer always appreciates a nice (slow) walk lol
Hi mac and sarah if you ever get up to scotland i can recommend auchenlarie holiday park its dog friendly easy to get to go on the a75 dumfries stranraer road you cant miss it as the road goes right past the entrance pool/pub/restaurant/got evening entertainment to
Hi Cameron, we'd love to bring the caravan to Scotland!! We had a wonderful trip in 2021 before we had the van. At the moment, it's too long a trip for Dozer to cope with in one go. Thanks for the tip, we'll add it to the list for future stays 👍🙂
All your holidays sound fab. But we really hope you love EKL, it's such a lovely site, and lots of lovely walks too. Plus, the tearooms and food are smashing.😊
Aww thanks, we really can't wait to stay there, we always hear such good things about it 🙂 thanks for watching and leaving us a comment
Old oaks is a lovely place to take elderly people in cabins or Pods while You're in your caravan. Yeah, we've done it a few times great.
Ah that's great to hear your endorsement, we think it's going to work out great!! Thanks for watching
Hey Mac and Sarah!
Great bumping in you both at Sussex Caravans!
Don’t forget to have a look at Abermarlais in Wales and Clippesby Hall in Norfolk!
Steve n Stu ❤
Hi Steve & Stu 😀 it was great bumping into you the other day!! We haven't forgotten your recommendation, it's on our list for future trips as we adore that area of Wales!!!
Thanks so much for watching, take care and see you soon 👍
Love your vlogs guys, like you our first adventure to Eye Kettleby Lakes this year but, Meadow Springs Country and Leisure Park is certainly worth a visit in Powys. Restaurant and bar like I’ve never come across on any site before. Well worth a visit. Jon
Ah thanks Jon, much appreciated 👍 ooh that sounds great, we love Wales, thanks for the tip 😀
Wow April !!! That’s half the year gone 😂. Can’t wait to watch the adventures -
We have all our annual leave booked, just looking for the sites now… we normally do mostly the uk but a couple of weeks abroad in September as we like to avoid the school holidays times. Enjoy your travels - Jon and Melissa
🤣 knew someone would say that lol. Actually you've got it a good way round as we have not yet booked the leave haha. Thanks for watching Jon & Melissa 👍
Wow, that's so organised of you! Sounds fantastic. Will be interested to hear your thoughts on Hayling Island as we come from that area, indeed I used to drive double decker buses round the island in the early 80s 😆 Love watching your videos and looking forward to the big reveal at Concierge!!
Oh wow, I bet Hayling is busier now than it was in the 80s.. Thanks for watching our videos, really pleased you enjoy them! All the best 👍
Hi both. Really love all you vlogs and always interested to see where you go. We can recommend Riverside Touring Park in Betty’s Coed and Llanberris Touring Park (both Morris Leisure sites), also South Meadows near Belford and Pennine View near Kirkby Stephen. They are all on the outskirts of villages with nice cafes and restaurants etc. CAMC sites that we have loved so far also with edge of village locations are Clayton Village and Moreton in Marsh.👍🤗
Hi Amanda, thanks so much for all of these recommendations, so helpful 👍 We love that area of North Wales but haven't been there for ages, certainly not since having the caravan! We'll add them to the future lists 🙂
Thanks for sharing your plans, sounds like you have some great adventures booked. We can highly recommend Old Brick Kilns, we were there in 2022 and are going back in June. If the Fat Cow smash burger place is open I highly recommend a trip there (and they have ice cream for pud 😉). Can you please share where you find your sites? A lot of them look like independent places and we are looking to explore more of our great country and finding dog friendly places is a must. Thanks again for sharing, Sarah, myself (Simon) and Freddie (3 year old lab 🐾 ) look forward to following your fun 😊
Hi Simon and Sarah! Thanks for watching. Yes we're really excited for our trips this year. In terms of where we find the sites, we do lots of research online with our requirements and lots are recommended to us, as was the case for Old Brick Kilns. We'll definitely look out for the burger place, sounds perfect!!
Thanks again and all the best 👍
Great vlog we love Eye kettleby we were there for the Adria Rally at Xmas booked to go again.
Happy Travels
Katie & Gary 👍🏻
Oh that's great, yes we can't wait to stay there!! Thanks very much, and thanks for watching 🙏
Black knowle is great...so is Dulverton small but beautiful
Hey Lynda, great to know you like it, we're looking forward to it. Thanks for watching
Hope to see you at old oaks in April we are there for a week commencing 14th - it would be lovely to meet you both and Dozer
Have a wonderful year with all your plans
Ooh we might just catch each other at the end of our trip 🤞 thanks so much and thanks for watching, really appreciate it 🙏
Hi both, and let's not forget Dozer❤. We're also at Old oaks, but from 6th April for 9 nights, then later we're back to Back of Beyond in the first week of june, and lastly, a couple of weeks in Norfolk, staying at Deer's Mead.
Can't wait to go, and looking forward to your reviews.
Stay safe guys, and perhaps one day we may bump into each other on site somewhere.
We're also off to the Caravan and motorhome show on the Saturday next month.
Steve n Jeanette
Hey Steve & Jeanette! Hope you're well. Oh so you'll be at two of our faves 😀 awesome!! I'm certain we'll bump into each other soon!!! Thanks so much for watching, we appreciate your support 🙏
Best UK site bar none!
Love your channel & have been to all your suggestions in our touring caravan… Our favourite of All time is Pentewan Cornwall ( we go 4 times a year) but it’s only dog friendly in winter months sadly . Simply the best place in the Uk though and a beach front pitch is unique and the best !
Love the water sports , restaurant & bar on the beach .
We start touring this year in Feb at concierge ♥️👍
Happy New Year from Allie & Gordon 🎉
Hey Allie & Gordon 🙂 it sounds like you really make the most of your caravan! Love the sound of the site in Cornwall, we'll look it up, sounds like our kinda site!! Thanks so much for watching 🙏
We love Glastonbury as well,we are there for Easter. Also go in November for the Glastonbury Carnival which is amazing. Look forward to seeing your videos 👍
It's such a cool quirky town isn't it? We're looking forward to going back 🙂 thanks for watching 👍
It certainly is quirky, not sure if you know but there is a lovely farm shop and cafe just round the corner from Old Oaks. Thoroughly recommend Tranquil park sites. Lovely one in Wells too 👍
@@SaintsTravels ah yes of course! We didn't get a chance to go to the farm shop last time, thanks for the reminder!
Hi to you both....hmmm? Something new....a new van me thinks 🤔 ...keep up the the good vids. Barbeque in 3 degrees 😂😂😂 ......stay safe..
.matt an trace
Hey Matt! Oh well that would be telling, wouldn't it? 😂 Yep we were determined to have a BBQ no matter the temperature lol. thanks for watching Matt & Trace, all the best 👍
You are going to love Eye Kettleby, we are fortunate that it is close by for us so we go regularly. It’s amazing! Another site you might like (adults only) is New Lodge Farm in Bulwick.
Enjoy your trips, looking forward to seeing them 😊
Oh it's great that it's so close to you! We just know we're gonna love it! Thanks for the tip too, that'll go on the list 😀 thanks for watching 👍
Love Concierge, Eye Kettleby, Old Oaks…..jury is out…..Back of Beyond keen to go ….Covid stopped us first time……BUT…….have you never heard of France?
Great restaurants/ bars on site…..different world.
Or have I missed something?
Hey Graeme! Thanks for watching. Oh we'd love to take the van to France, however it's too much of a trip for Dozer now he's an old man. We had a great time touring France in years gone by when we had a motorhome. Will definitely go again in the future
@@MacSarah
My bad…….didn’t take Dozer into consideration!
Apologies.
@@graemeroberts5730 no worries at all 🙂
PS Eye Kettleby is a long-standing favourite of ours . The Melton Mowbray local pies are yummy x
Oh we can't wait to go!! Also, Stilton? Yum 😋
Hi guys . Because of you two . We bought a Cavavan . Just wondering if you are going to the nec Cavavan show . Keep up the great informative videos . Mike and Tania .
Hi Mike and Tania!! Are you serious? That's beyond fantastic 😀 we're so happy for you! Welcome to the caravanning community!! Yes, I (Mac) have been there today and back tomorrow (Weds) if you're around and spot me, please say hello!
Aww we're so pleased for you!!
All the best 😀
EKL will not disappoint. Definitely a place for a couple of discerning caravaners with a pooch. Do you fish??
Ah thanks Andrew, it seems like the kind of place we'll return to each year. We don't fish actually, but I guess we can still enjoy a stroll around the lakes 🙂 thanks for watching
Ohh, you can’t do this to us! I’m not going to sleep now until your next video………….🤭👍👍
Haha ahh we'd better get it out soon then!! Thanks for watching 👍
EKL.....we live in Melton. Give us shout it you're looking for a good curry and a beer.
Oh really? Ok 🙂 Beer and Curry are two of the main food groups lol
@@MacSarah by all means message when available.... We enjoy your vlogs btw.
