A slight correction regarding the aerokit history. Porsche doesn’t “always” take the GT3 and then implement the aero for the next gen or non GT3 car. Example is the aerokit from the 997.1 aerokit option, was designed and offered before there was even a 7.1 GT3 avail. I have one and it’s funny when people hint that’s it’s a wannabe GT3, because those that really really know the history, know that the aerokit was offered before the GT3 was produced.

Who cares what people think the aerokit makes the car so sexy. I plan to get a carrera T with the aero kit.
Every guy who watched this video said the same thing to themselves while watching: Meg would make a great partner for a car enthusiast, not having to explain to her why you need new wheels or to lower your car, clearly she gets it! As a side not, clearly she doesn’t “need” a partner, secure & successful people as you get older don’t want someone who ‘’needs” you. Successful people barley have time for a significant other, and Meg has all the class and sophistication of a proper woman, who clearly does what she wants when she wants. Great video, and interview. Refreshing to see a woman who is into fine sports cars, definitely not the norm in a great way….
Megan has made that car look much nicer than a GT3, 992 perfection.
You have a point about the GT3. I am not fully sold on the 992 GT3 front end. Look forward to the facelift and see how it turns out.

I've never really been a Porsche fan by any means but ever since the 992 I have fallen in love with them. I think the way she has hers decked outis perfect as well too. That's how I would have mine done too, with that wing. It's just sexy as heck!

Also why not try the valve controller to open the valve to 100% compared to 20% factory?

I have a 21 Carreras S w/ arrow kit and you really need to get a tune if you don’t already it makes it so much more fun and quick.

I also think your rear wing is one of the best features of that car. I really struggle with the rear end of the 992 generation. It just doesn’t look right, whereas every other angle on it is spot on. But with the wing it totally works and looks a hundred times better. The colour of your car and the HRE wheels are beautifully contemporary in a classical way. Well done, extremely nice spec :)
Kind of makes me want to go 992 over 991.1. I LOVE an NA car and am just not sure about these turbo things…
I would definitely get the aero kit for the 992. As you say, it’s spot on.
As for the turbo vs NA, I hear you. It’s a tough decision. But the 922 with some light exhaust mods do sound amazing and had the power to give you a thrill 😃🙌
Depends, your paying for depreciation in a 992, if your looking purely from an objective value perspective, probably not a car you’ll recoup your money on anytime soon. I think all petrol cars we’ll be valuable at some point though, turbos or not….just depends how long you want to hold. A 992 is only a forever car if you can live with the outdated tech, which is like 2 years from now LOL

It’s funny, because I’m watching this video, saying to myself, damn it looks great. But I have my own 992 GTS with aerokit in Shark blue in the garage that I haven’t driven for over a week 😂 I need to lower it and get HREs now; Meg’s car is dope
This is the unfortunate thing. Life gets in the way and now that most of us work from home, there is less reasons to drive. I too am in the same boat as you.

Beautiful car. My little brother has a 992 chalk GTS with aerokit, carbon roof, carbon seats. He also took a similar path. RS4-RS5-991.1S-991.2GTS-992GTS. Love the look and subtle mods. Don’t wrap it, I’m in SoCal and see all the Lambo and McLaren wraps and I have never ever seen a perfect wrap. Always flaws and the wraps don’t last more than a few years before it starts to degrade.
💯 agree about the wrap jobs. Chalk is such a nice paint, it would have been a shame to hide it 😃🙌

Great video. Idk how she could not like Chalk with the stock wheels. That is one of Porsches best colors. Goes with any wheel. Granted, her HRE’s are real nice.

I am still trying to figure out the best way to capture good audio. We were trying a few things to fit in the current weekend only workflow.

that's a stunning car, not a big fan of chalk usually but the wheels really elevate it and the stance is perfect. after three audis i just got a 718 GTS so on a similar plane of travel, i'm interested what these cars can do tuned but you can't even use the stock power on the road - unless you track the car, more power feels a bit needless.

Even on track a tune is unnecessary, unless you plan to set a lap record or something. The tune is appealing for many for the straight line speed and the added HP. It’s all for that 5seconds of fun 😂🙌😃

Ah ! The manual versus the PDK box.. an never ending discussion 😄 When you have one, you find yourself in situations in which you wish you had the other ! No doubt a manual box is much more fun on twisties because as you rightly point out, more engaging, but in city trafic jams or highway jams PDK is far more relaxing. And much faster if you choose to go on tracks.
I have found that an acceptable compromise is having a PDK and using it in manual mode. Not perfection, but pretty good and convincing all he same. 😎
💯💯 as a daily drive the manual can be frustrating. For that purpose I would stay automatic.
For the weekend special, I would love to have a PDK and a manual one day 😂😃
I have been using the PDK as you mention, it’s still a ton of fun. I am not sure about the 992 shifter nob 😂😂

@@thedevthing I have a piano black / bordeaux red 991.2 C4S manual gearbox (will never ever get the PDK, yeah, sorry, not engaging for me) with a sporty package but since I saw this episode I am now 100% sure this is the best looking 992 I have seen ever, absolutely flawless. Since then I can't stop thinking I should get one and get rid of my current baby. I always found the 992 very bulky but this is top notch, congratulations to Megan on this beautiful combo! Man, I'll be losing some sleep over this 992 now 😂😬😋

Yeah unfortunately new cars keep getting bigger. Thankfully the trend seems to have stopped from 991 to 992. They seemed to have maintained the same size. But still significantly bigger than 997

@@thedevthing absolutely right - the taxes are crazy and the government recently implemented more taxes for luxury cars. Also there is a thing called "Certificate of Entitlement", a piece of paper which allows you to keep your car for 10 years, that is currently USD0K
I personally don't like modifying cars. Driving pure in it's original form is the real deal.
I used to be that way too. I didn’t want to mess with perfection with driver involvement. My opinion has changed in recent years.
My plan if and when it becomes reality is to have a pure 911 as it was factory like the GT3 or GT3RS and another 911 to mod say a 911 GTS
This way you get the best of both worlds 😃🙌🙌

Interesting, Megan coming from a poor family that she would consider driving a Porsche 911 year round especially since her car has been lowered, or even if it had the stock ride height. Rich or poor, why would you? It shows a total disrespect for fine machinery. And although some in the PCA club think it is cool to see a Porsche 911 driven in the winter, funny how they store their own cars in the winter. Talk about double standards!
Glad to see someone still prefers a "manual" transmission". If my GTS were a PDK, I would have passed on it; same for the turbos which are standard now on all Carreras after 2016 (GT cars are not Carreras).
Megan, at 6:11, the rust spots on your white Audi is most likely "rail dust" and is best removed very easily with a spray-on iron remover. Then you can use a clay bar before moving to the next step in detailing.
And at 11:41, you should have ordered the PCCBs. An expensive option but then there is no brake dust on my wheels.
And I get the "not wanting any attention" aspect. I looked at a Macan as a daily driver, but I went for an Acura RDX (before they went turbo again) for the long term reliability and it being great in the winter with tons of ground clearance and enough room to pick up an extra tool cabinet or chest. LOL
What, not front plate? I agree with that considering Quebec drivers can drive in Ontario with no front plate (and tire studs). Just surprised an Ontario Porsche dealer would deliver a car that way.
Just to clarify, Megan drives her car daily in the warm weather. She does not drive it in the winter here. We have tons of snow 😃😃
Regarding the Macan and it’s reliability. I currently own a Macan GTS since 2018 and it has been amazing and reliable. 🙌😃
@@thedevthing I got that having watched the video twice. Driving any 911 in the winter does not make any sense. Yes, I know how much snow we get in Ottawa. As for your Macan, that is a new car in my books. Lets see what the expense account is after 15 years of ownership. My old 1999 Honda CR-V which I bought new and had for 14 trouble-free years (I keep an Excel spreadsheet...comes from working in a lab) has been in the hands of a Porsche friend as a daily driver since then and is now 23 years old and pretty well rust free as I Krown my own cars myself (I do not drill holes).

I agree, the front of the 992 GT3 is a hit or miss for many. The sport design bumper is more elegant and looks like the 991.2 GT3 front bumper. 😃🙌

So, unfortunately for me it's too late to add the wing. My car is finished and just sitting in Port of Emdem for boarding onto a ship. Guessing a mid-August delivery arrival. I don't even remember seeing the wing as an option honestly. I'm guessing you can still get it added (after the fact) from Porsche?) It would have to be painted Arctic Grey as well :)
There was a stop sale on the aero kit for some time also. It’s likely you didn’t see that as an option because of it
I dig car chicks. Not a fan of the Crayon grey paint. I think that will be an undesirable long term color for resale - like matte black. HRE wheels is a good choice. Not sure I would ever want to lower my suspension. You hit stuff on the highway and rip stuff off underneath. I ripped a facecover off my oil level sensor on the 405 on my GLI and it was $400 to fix. More problems if your car is lower.
Its definitely risky, lowering the car. Once lowered, you have to change your mindset. For this kind of look, I am willing to sacrifice a bit of the underbody 😂🙌
