This IS my story. I had my man who was just like Will. He was my soulmate and he chose to die. If you love someone enough you have to love them enough to let them go too but there isn’t a day that goes by that my heart doesn’t break. I’m crying as I write this now, there was no Dignitas for us and it was over 23 years ago this March. I love this movie it reminds me so much of my husband before he died. He was so brave, kind and thoughtful, one of a very special kind. I love him as much today as I did when we first became a couple in 35 years ago ❤❤❤
It took me 3 weeks before I could watch this movie from beginning to end. I have never cried this much since I lost my husband of 61 yrs. I felt both of their pain.. This was one beautiful movie and so painful because it was real life.❤ the cast. Job well done! 7:32

They had to meet at this time ..for that short period ...to appreciate the feeling of true love ...that only comes once in a lifetime...and changes u 4ever ...
This movie is so beautiful. It brought together two unlikely people due to a tragedy. There is no way that their paths would have crossed otherwise. They taught each other so much. He taught her to value herself and not settle and she taught him that he was worth loving even in his diminished state. Great casting. I love Emelia Clarke and Sam Claflin together.
The whole way through watching this film I just couldn’t get over how well they did the casting. Emilia and Sam are absolutely awesome as Louisa and Will.
I must have watched this movie a dozen times and it still gets me.........every time! Im a fella in his mid 60s yet their love story is something that I wish I had experienced.
Music choice was perfect, absolutely captured the whole movie. I was prepared going into this compilation having watched the movie before, but the music absolutely pushed it over. Thank you, now I'm bawling out my eyes :)
This movie shows that you need to spend time wisely and hold on to things before there gone and that happy endings are not all ways gonna happen but you will find love, even if you didn’t mean to! There story is so beautiful and sad.

I think you should have also added the part on the beach where he says like you cant imagine all the things i want to do to your body but do you realise my condition means I can see you naked and do nothing about it or something like that - like those tiny moments makes you realise why he went through even after being in love - it made him realise he needs to do this even more so she can be with someone who treats her ‘right’ as he says

I was so ill for so long ( 4 years, 3 very severe). No one can save you if you want to go. Being in level 10 pain for 3 years left me wishing I were gone every second of every day. I slowly recovered and it was definitely miraculous. I could not care for myself for over 3 years.couldnt walk, bathe, eat. Screamed into blankets and pillows every day, all day. Unimaginable full body nerve pain. Dying isn't a terrible thing. Sometimes living is. People don't understand that level of suffering. I'm still not sure why or how I managed to survive it all. One thing I know... if there was a humane facility that I could have gone to to end my life, I would have gladly gone there. I kept saying, why do animals get to die in peace and the world leaves us to suffer the unbearable. There should be places for the extremely ill to die in peace. I have so much trauma now. It's hard. I just hope I lived through it for a reason.

Didn't have the chance to watch this movie until yesterday it was shown on TV. God, it was so touching... Couldn't help crying and wondering why love is always so complicated and can't just conquer the world... Today I've searched for videos related to the movie and I am so glad I found yours! You are so right, he was indeed a very proud man. I am also not promoting suicide but in some cases like here when you can move only your head I can imagine that live has no quality any more. And in that case you make this decision. Its a beautiful film however.
Fr and mostly that he was paralyzed from the neck down, his pride and dignity didn’t exist anymore for him. I hate his decision but I understand why, like when he was telling her what he would do to her if he wasn’t paralyzed, it was so sad
I didn’t read the book ,so I was just as wishful as Louisa,but I understand wills decision and I didn’t hate that he stood by the decision.Will saw his disability as being trapped and he wasn’t getting better mentally or physically.
I don't get tired of watching this movie. This is probably my second favorite movie of all time right behind Antwone Fisher. I can't imagine a woman loving me like that though. The true life story of this movie is even more beautiful.
This movie shows what love is...Loving someone so much that you put their needs, wants and unspoken desires before yours. He wanted to be with her but also knew that such a life wouldn't allow her thrive even though she didn't care. She wanted him to live for her but understands even if he did he would be in pain constantly...she would by happy and he would be happier but at what cost? Both of them put the other's need before theirs. That is love.
...only when she shaved him...she saw him..inside and out...what a handsome man...she realized that she loved him without condition...and would give her all to make him happy...but...obviously he had other plans...sad...but one of my favourite movies...

Learned about this film & watched in August 2024. One of the best films I've ever enjoyed. That's saying a lot. Heartbreaking. Heartwarming. Funny. And filled with so much love & great acting all the way around. Emilia Clarke has the most expressive eyebrows of anyone I've known IRL or as an actor or actress. Fantastic movie. Highly recommend!!🫠
The first time I watched this movie, I loved it...but now watching this and thinking deep...this isn't love but prideful and selfish act....but the girl in this movie reminds me of myself...clumsy, genuine, optimistic, humble, sarcastic joker, love seeing ppl happy and a lover that loves beyond looks...but sees the beauty of a person beyond what's show on the surface (iceberg) deep love.
@@estherphillip I understand where you are coming from :) I'm a doctor and I've worked in palliative care and the suffering his character is going through would be emense. But if you think about it, his love is not selfish. He understood that he couldn't give her what she ultimately wanted. He helped set her free from what had held her back prior to meeting him, he empowered her to love herself, he gave her life. And in his mind by dying he set her free again to find a man that could give her what she truly wanted. He wanted her badly, but he wanted her happiness more so ❤️

I can understand how he feels from who he was before and having to live in a life that wasn't expected or planned...but without her he wouldn't felt loved, even before he was in his predicament he wasn't loved either...so they both lost. but I appreciate ur thoughts honestly.
He needed a psychologist help. There are so many people in his same situation that found a path in their lives and are still fighting. He received a blessing but chose to die, his proud was killing him inside and depression. His situation could had change with proper treatment and above all faith (not only in a religion perspective). He wasn't dead, he could had lived and be happy. Their romance was beautiful but the message of this movie is really crap, people in this situation can have a life. This situation isn't a death sentence. To people who are facing this same situation, please don't give up ✌🏽 you have the power and your currently state can't stop you, your dreams and can't rob your essence. Life can be good but only depends on your strength and faith, be strong and live the life you deserves. You're a warrior and as everyone you can't lay down your weapons (faith). If in some moment the pain seems unsupportable (well we're not made of iron, as a person that are passing through some hard times I can relate) please let a professional help you please ❤️ but don't give up, life can be good.
A beautiful love story. No matter how it ends its a selfless love for each other. It was a moving love story. Beautiful but Sad endings. Grief shadows love lost.

Learned about this film & watched in August 2024. One of the best films I've ever enjoyed. That's saying a lot. Heartbreaking. Heartwarming. Funny. And filled with so much love & great acting all the way around. Emilia Clarke has the most expressive eyebrows of anyone I've known IRL or as an actor or actress. Fantastic movie. Highly recommend!!🫠

The first time I watched this movie, I loved it...but now watching this and thinking deep...this isn't love but prideful and selfish act....but the girl in this movie reminds me of myself...clumsy, genuine, optimistic, humble, sarcastic joker, love seeing ppl happy and a lover that loves beyond looks...but sees the beauty of a person beyond what's show on the surface (iceberg) deep love.
But his euthanasia wasn't selfish 😞

@@estherphillip I understand where you are coming from :) I'm a doctor and I've worked in palliative care and the suffering his character is going through would be emense. But if you think about it, his love is not selfish. He understood that he couldn't give her what she ultimately wanted. He helped set her free from what had held her back prior to meeting him, he empowered her to love herself, he gave her life. And in his mind by dying he set her free again to find a man that could give her what she truly wanted. He wanted her badly, but he wanted her happiness more so ❤️
@@bellabee8235 I understand what ure saying aswell especially in your field of work...but if he truly wanted her happy, he should of known that he is part of her happiness...dieing is like taking away everything he help her with as u said. I can understand how he feels from who he was before and having to live in a life that wasn't expected or planned...but without her he wouldn't felt loved, even before he was in his predicament he wasn't loved either...so they both lost. but I appreciate ur thoughts honestly.
For some reason this is a very happy and funny film with a sad ending,I love ❤️ every minute of it I have seen it a few times now❤️❤️

He needed a psychologist help. There are so many people in his same situation that found a path in their lives and are still fighting. He received a blessing but chose to die, his proud was killing him inside and depression. His situation could had change with proper treatment and above all faith (not only in a religion perspective). He wasn't dead, he could had lived and be happy. Their romance was beautiful but the message of this movie is really crap, people in this situation can have a life. This situation isn't a death sentence. To people who are facing this same situation, please don't give up ✌🏽 you have the power and your currently state can't stop you, your dreams and can't rob your essence. Life can be good but only depends on your strength and faith, be strong and live the life you deserves. You're a warrior and as everyone you can't lay down your weapons (faith). If in some moment the pain seems unsupportable (well we're not made of iron, as a person that are passing through some hard times I can relate) please let a professional help you please ❤️ but don't give up, life can be good.
