Hey Mr. Hollis, thank you both for your videos and big congrats to you on your weight loss. Keep up the good work! I was wondering when you said "ring in" the onions to give them size, what does that mean? Does that mean chopping off the top shoots?

I love your garden. The best model to follow. Very encouraging. You are right, the best thing in life is to eat fresh food direct from your garden. The more I watch your video, the more I got the idea of how I will improve my garden. Share more videos.
I have grown purple beans and when you snap them they are green inside. they taste identical to the green ones and actually turn green when cooked. I tell my grandkids that they are magic. I have white eggplant growing for the first time this year and violet purple cauliflower. Fool me peppers look like hot peppers but are sweet like a green pepper but snacking size. I take these to work and eat them at my desk. One coworker said she was arranging an intervention. ha Two plants were being thrown out at my husband's work two years ago and so he brought them home with their permission. I planted them and they grew chest high and you can't believe how many they produce. I threw some into a gallon baggie and put in the freezer and when I want some just take a few out and chop into my spaghetti or whatever. Your garden is so tidy. Mine is more permaculture and very little order to it. blessings
Beautiful spring garden there Hollis and Nancy! I've noticed that you desire a rural homestead and hope Lord willing that things go well and in a timely way as far as your gardens go. You've got a lot of work in them! TFS!

So good to see you all again. I thought I was missing your post...sure am glad you're back. The purple beans have always been a favorite with our family. We call them "Magic Beans" because when cooked, the purple beans turn green. Kids think that's pretty special. Your garden is beautiful !! I planted potatoes in buckets like yours....hope this works. Today, we finally finished all our big plantings. Actually picked our first lettuce..so good. Have a great day and looking forward to more videos. Blessings
I absolutely love your videos and you've inspired me to plant sweet potatoes and my slips are going in tomorrow! I garden every year and have over 80 varieties of hot peppers and probably about 55 tomatoes but I love your garden structures! I wanted to enclose parts of mine because chipmunks eat all the blossoms off my squashes etc. and dig in all my pots. I'm going to have my sons watch this one so he can see all the cool structures you have in your garden and convince them to make me some! I especially love your name for the salad bar😊thanks again for all the great tips and as I also love to cook I love making kimchi so I look forward to seeing Nancy's cooking videos🙏🏻😃Kim in VA
+Kimberly Thompson Thanks for watching Kimberly! Your garden sounds awesome. What great sons you have to help you. God bless them😇😇. Best of luck to you with your garden this year. Have a peaceful weekend ❤️❤️🐶
Thank you , Mr. Hollis and Mrs. Nancy for your wonderful videos and tips on gardening. I have learned alot. I've always want to see videos of gardens in Virginia . I live in the city, Richmond. and it's nice to know what and how I can grow in our zone your videos are very educational. I look forward to more videos and tips. Thank you both for sharing, God is good , all the time. God bless you both
+Carol Whitaker Thank you so much for watching and subscribing!! Welcome to the family ❤️❤️🐶. We try to do videos to help folks learn how to grow vegetables regardless of their Zone. Best of luck to you with your garden this year 👍👍👍. Have a peaceful week
Such a beautiful garden! You reap what you sow and by the looks of your veggies you'll be reaping a lot! Are you planning on growing some corn? Last year you mentioned that you were planting some. This video was the only one that I got a notification on and by your comments I have some videos to catch up on. I'm so excited in that my hubby finally tilled up a good size garden this year. By watching most all of your last years videos along with Linda's Pantry and Starry Hilders gardens and canning I'm pumped up this year to garden and canning. I just love you and your wife. You two are a sweet couple. God bless you both mightily..
+Teresa Browning Well done!! Best of luck to your garden!!! Decided to wait on the corn until we get set up at our new homestead. Planning to do a video on Silver Queen🌽🌽🌽🌽
OH my word Hollis I do not see one sprig of grass anywhere. Lord have mercy how do you do that?! Impressive!! Thnx for sharing. I did get one tomato cage built and finally have a tomato planted in it.
+Terry Obright Thanks for watching Terry. Yeah, them weeds have to go. I am constantly pulling them. I hand pull on the rows and cultivate between the rows. Well done on your tomato cage!! I think you will really like them. You don't have to worry about the tomato plants falling over any more👍. Have a peaceful week and enjoy your garden this year ❤️❤️🐶
I loved the tour! Thanks for sharing that. :) You always inspire me to be in the garden. Something to consider for the garden when you move....a small gazebo where you can sit and have a cup of tea and just enjoy looking at your garden. LOL You are right. It is peaceful.
+Nana's House & Garden You are so right. Hollis has a nice sitting area in the design for the new garden complex. We plan to spend a lot of time relaxing by the garden drinking coffee
+WindyCedarFarm Thank you so much for watching and your kind words. ❤️❤️❤️. The perimeter boxes really add a lot to the garden. Makes growing the small stuff much easier to maintain👍. Have a peaceful week
My son and I are new to planting and growing our own food. This year is our first time growing in the garden and are so excited to see what we can eat out of it. Your videos have been really helpful and easily understood. We love that its clear, concise, and you actually show the process from beginning to end. A lot of other growing videos in youtube only have the person sitting by their crop fully grown and blabbing about it. Would you happen to have a video of how-to-build your garden fortress? We have squirrel problems and the dang buggers have a buffet as soon as you turn your back on the plants.
+MW S It warms my heart to see families gardening together. The world needs more of that!! So glad our videos are helping and inspiring you. We plan to make them for many years to come. Squirrels are very intelligent and determined. I installed a rabbit fence constructed of chicken wire around my garden to stop the rabbits but the squirrels would climb over is and actually scamper along the top of it. So, I installed and electric fence hot wire around the top of the rabbit fence. When the squirrels climb the fence and touch the top wire they get popped. It took only two weeks for the squirrels to learn to stay away from the fence. Haven't had a squirrel problem in the garden since.
+Mr. Mike She is doing great!!! We recently finally saved up enough money for some better equipment. We are trying very hard to improve the quality of our videos❤️❤️🐶
Beautiful layout.. Looks like you really put a lot of time & effort into organization, and a very creative garden schematic to make excellent use of your space.. Very neat and professional looking.. Great job.
I am glad to see your spring veggies thriving. I planted my summer crops in early May. Big mistake! So tired of all the rain we have had in VA all of May. Praying for sunshine soon. I am so glad you guys are moving to FL where the growing season is longer and the weather is more predictable, unlike VA!
+Anu Janakiraman This is true!! I have lived here 20 years and I still have so much trouble with unpredictable and windy weather conditions. Peace to you my friend ❤️❤️🐶
Mr Hollis The work you’ve done to achieve such a beautiful garden , thank you for sharing God has truly blessed your green thumb. Thank you Nancy for your meals and your videos keep up the beautiful work.
We've used a bunch of yer tips this year. Our tomatoes are crazy big! Squash is pretty steady. Bell peppers are poppin! Okra is nearly ready to start making fruit. Taters are getting tall. Thanks for the tips! God bless 👍
Beautiful as always! God bless you both and your plans as you move ahead with them.... I can't wait to see all the tropical fruits and plants you can grow in Florida.... more videos, yay

+Teresa Browning
Well done!!
+Terry Obright
Thanks for watching Terry. Yeah, them weeds have to go. I am constantly pulling them. I hand pull on the rows and cultivate between the rows.
Well done on your tomato cage!! I think you will really like them. You don't have to worry about the tomato plants falling over any more👍. Have a peaceful week and enjoy your garden this year ❤️❤️🐶
Your garden is a work of art! Thanks for sharing the beauty of it with us!
+Donna Smith
What a sweet thing to say. Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love you guy's.Thank you both for all your video's.Can't wait to see more!May God bless you both!
+Gregory Miller
Thank you Gregory!!! No worries, got a whole bunch of new videos coming out soon. Have a peaceful week ❤️❤️🐶
I loved the tour! Thanks for sharing that. :) You always inspire me to be in the garden. Something to consider for the garden when you move....a small gazebo where you can sit and have a cup of tea and just enjoy looking at your garden. LOL You are right. It is peaceful.
+Nana's House & Garden
You are so right. Hollis has a nice sitting area in the design for the new garden complex. We plan to spend a lot of time relaxing by the garden drinking coffee
Nice garden set up! Organized and Beautiful! I like the way it is set up with the perimeter boxes and rows.
+WindyCedarFarm
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words.
+MW S
It warms my heart to see families gardening together.
What a great tour. Thank you Hollis and Nancy. Best regards, Rick

+Anu Janakiraman
This is true!! I have lived here 20 years and I still have so much trouble with unpredictable and windy weather conditions. Peace to you my friend ❤️❤️🐶
