Citroen 15 CV No. MB124 Matchbox restoration. Diecast model toy.

Today I present the Matchbox Citroen 15 CV model. This model was produced in the years 1983-1986. Initially, production was carried out in England, and later it was moved to Macao. This model belongs to the already simplified diecast cars. To display subtitles in your language at the bottom of the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie. The car has no suspension and has a universal box for all models produced at that time. I decided to improve the image of this car by changing the paint from original blue to blue metallic. I also replaced the wheels with slightly smaller ones from the previous era, and they come from the Mazda Rx500 produced in 1972. I also made a cast of the front grille with the missing reflector. I did the whole thing, because an element made of resin is stronger if it is made completely and not glued. I also made a box that I will use many times for other models. This box was of a very interesting design, as it consisted of one piece of cardboard and did not require additional gluing. Beautifully done Paul. I agree that the wheels are a big improvement. Personally, I do not like metallic paint on such small scale models as it seems to me that the metal flakes in the paint detract from a realistic scale appearance, but I think that I'm in a minority, and the finish you have achieved is excellent.

Dommage que les roues ne soient pas adaptées au modèle... Encore une fois beaucoup trop larges et les jantes sont trop modernes pour être réalistes.
Chez Corgi au moins, ils ont plus l'esprit réalisme 👍🏻👍🏻 que chez Matchbox trop simplistes 👎🏻👎🏻

Pas mal de détails qui ne correspondent pas sur le véhicule. Notamment l'habitacle et les enjoliveurs, ce qui rend le véhicule avec une mauvaise finition.
