Based on the singing test, Pam sounds better now that she has aged. I think people mistake the uniqueness of her tone and timbre for lack of ability. I definitely put both her and the twins in front of Aubrey. Bar None.

Pam should be higher on this list - her tone is instantly recognisable, she is pitch perfect and melodic. That makes a great singer to me. Someone like Aubrey who was belting and running all over the place does not have the same technical control as a Pam. But I guess more is considered better here?

In 702, all you heard was Meelah. She was the voice of the group, just like coko is the voice of SWV. Irish is just a beautiful face. And the other sister is hit or miss or certain things.

@@mikelyn1035 neither twin was the lead. Lameisha was the lead thats why she was so mad and hateful to lameelah. It started out as 4 girl group not named 702 with twins, sister and a friend. Orish and the friend was cut when they signed to biv 10, then they added a latina and meelah. The latina quit to be solo and lemeelah continued on cause they felt her voice was better on the songs as lead. Lemeelah left after all the bs in like 2003 they brought in irish school friend but quit, then lemeelah came back and it was the same lemeshia hating.

Honestly, before this video (I don't really watch Encore), I didn't know her name nor recognize her. But after this video, I agree that I liked her unique voice AND now I feel that Fantasia (I'm also her fan) makes me think of a churched-out Pamela 🤔

@@apostleozzie198 it's depends on your age I was older enough to notice ppl play their songs I'm talking block party just in parties in general and when I walk in my classroom the kids will sing their songs one is their sing do it and feeling unappreciated the radio playing their songs even 2 years ago I was feeling like I wanted to go back to Glory Days I'm playing this song do it me and my sisters just dance and sing and the car beside got hype and started singing too it was fun so ppl do know them.
@@miagrass If you noticed in my original comment, I did not say no one knows them. I said they are the least known, especially on an international level. Total were with Puffy and Big and were that hardcore group that were featured in nearly every video at that time, Sharmari' group were with Left-Eye, Plus featured in a classic film and Nivea was that girl and Kiely was in two successful groups, all the other groups are remembered for classic hits and Cherish while good were only out a short time. I like them musically when they first came out, even have their album but truthfully they are not who I would support now I've seen them on reality TV

Pam is amazzzzin she sounds EXACTLY like record! What I remember for Cherish is they wore too many bundles, but that solo was untouched! And people really liked the baby voice of that 3LW girl? Aubrey needs to carry around that performance from “At Last” to represent her, cause it’s very, very easy to forget she actually has talent and is not just antics. PR is not her friend.

Aubrey sounds better back in the day than she does today. To me I prefer her voice over the twins... Not that the twins can't sing, I just like the texture of Aubrey's voice more

I love Pam’s voice the most, always will. It’s so unique & sultry-no one else can imitate it. I feel like Aubrey’s voice has been heard many times before. It’s not special. For all the criticism the twins dole out, they really don’t sound nearly as good anymore, eek. Poor 702. If they had kept up with vocal training & didn’t smoke cigs, they might be alright but alas. Nivea & Shamari haven’t missed a beat & sound exactly the same as before!🤩

@JerriThePoet Shannon and Aubrey were the weakest. Dawn and Andrea had the strongest voices in that group. Aubrey was favored because everyone thought she was cute and was good for the overall image of the group. Some episodes might still be online that show Aubrey upset that she wasn’t getting any leads. She cried her way into getting leads on songs.

I choose pam from total to be the best only because her voice is so unique that no one other person sounds like her. If any of the other girls sing and u close ur eyes u would only say they can sing, but u wouldn't know who it is cause they sound like every other singer. . But if u close ur eyes and pam sing u don't just say she can sing, but ull say that's pam from total. Bad part is pam not in the group anymore.
