    I love Alloy!! Thank you so much for providing this wonderful service to all women!! I was on estrogen patches after my laproscopic hysterectomy at 46 which took all but my ovaries. I got no relief from the patches and my doctor basically said that the does he has me on should work. After going through 2 doctors, I ended up seeing a doctor that works with bio identical pellet therapy. What a lifesaver!! Only disadvantage is that if the dosing isn’t right, I have to wait 10 weeks until my next visit. The addition of testosterone is a game changer!!

    THANK YOU, Dr. Menn, for addressing the safety of synthetic progestins. I’ve heard that progesterone is safer/better than synthetic progestin, which was making me question whether the BCP I’ve been given for perimenopause symptoms is good for me. So thanks. It gave me a sigh of relief. 😊

    • @myalloy
      @myalloy  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hi, great question! If you don't have a uterus, you don't need to take progesterone. However, there can be some benefits for women without a uterus to take it as well, if your symptoms are not being fully met. You can consult with a menopause-trained doctor to get a recommendation that is best for you at myalloy.com!

    I am currently on the Combipatch. I love the convenience of it but the weight gain is horrific. I changed nothing in my diet and upped my walking miles and the pounds keep coming. So disappointing as it does help with my general heat intolerance but with this horrible weight gain side effect I am really rethinking HRT.

      Hi Dr. Menn, I have seen other talks where you mentioned you were called AT WORK by an acupuncturist insensitive radiologist to tell you you had invasive breast cancer. I think this is one of the most brutal , unkind aspects of the medical system : receiving a life threatened ng diagnosis ON THE PHONE ( and then the doctor hangs up as quickly as possible). Happened to me too , only because I am retired at least it didn't happen at work. Also my primary care doctor was so obviously frightened by my diagnosis that I eventually had to switch to another doctor who could maintain her composure.
      Best wishes

    Hello ladies
    I am 59 years old suffering from vaginal atrophy and Dx with LS 6 months ago. My OB Gyn prescribed me with clobetasol to treat LS and Estradiol (Estrace) my question, I still have my uterus and ovaries can I still use the vaginal cream without any progesterone? Any risks with just using the this alone? Thank you so much for thi informative videos

    I've been prescribed vaginal estrogen. The manufacturer is Padagis. I was horrified when I read the ingredients and there are parabens used in this product! I was diagnosed with ER+ DCIS in 2020 and now only used CLEAN skincare products. Is there a brand of vaginal estrogen that does not have parabens in it??

    • @myalloy
      @myalloy  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hi! We understand that there is mixed data about parabens, but unfortunately there is no FDA-approved vaginal estradiol cream without these ingredients - branded or unbranded. At the moment, we do not compound alternatives to the commercially available products. Also, while the data on consequences from parabens is mixed, the evidence and research on vaginal estrogen is definitive, and the benefits of fixing existing symptoms and preventing long-term decline of the vaginal skin and bladder, which will only progress without estrogen, outweighs any risk of parabens in our view.

    I am concerned about the comment that oral estrogen dosing does not have associated risks. Oral medications have first pass effect in the liver which can have significant effects on how a person responds to it and may increase estrogen metabolite levels some of which are known to increase health risks

    colorings... Things that I wouldn't Allow in my face cream And I have absolutely no choice Cream that goes on very sensitive areas Of course in 20 years the formulas will be much better But right now they are still not doing us a great favor with These formulations.
