ShibaTales hey shibatales, can I add you on discord? I am a new fan of your content and I think we should collab some time
@@FakeEgg Wtf? Bot.
TheSphongleface bruhster, I relate to you on an emotional level, there are so many wretched bots on RUclips that a lot of comments seem like they're left by bots.
EggBootleg he has three videos and none of them are the type of content you should or even could collab with lol
*You have just invented Spiderman's web fluid*
Prototype!
@Zachary Erickson the "real" thing is a fluid, the comment was just joking
Imagine the money he could make off this!!!
What kind of spiderman fluid?
@@uh-huh5518 the white and sticky one
Isn't breathing that stuff like breathing powdered glass?
Not something you wanna mess with with no protection.
yeah, like selenium or asbestos
Sounds like my ex girlfriend
Yup, it's deadly. It can lead to Silicosis.
Its too heavy to "float" in the air
@@fask69 I don't think that's correct. Powdered silica can form a suspension with air, that's why respirators are used while working with them.
Dad: WHAT ARE YOU DOING
Me: I'm dealing cocaine
Dad: don't lie you were watching those Action lab videos again weren't you?
Me:
TAL is our drug.
@@gabor6259 lol mine's opioid tho
Might be safer to deal drugs that breathe this stuff in. LOL
😂
I’m watching this before I do my school
I like how he keeps fumed silica like salt in his house
It's low key scary. Imagine the lung damage.
What is silicosis
@@namyapadsala3099 Silica enters the lung and basically gets entangled with the tissues inside the lung. This leads to permanant breathing issues and may cause death.
@@anshulsingh7663 holy shit

Fume silica can be extremely dangerous if it gets in your lungs. Hope you’re being safe!

they wont sell this because fume silica is hazardous when inhaled!!
plus it already exists using a larger grained form of silica as the toy known as Kinetic Sand!!
Wow!!
I could buy it on amazon for 12 bucks.
I literally came to the comments to make sure my brain was triggering the correct alarm. Silica if breathed in is dangerous and carcinogenic. Glad I remember lol
please remember to warn your audience against handling things like fume silica without proper preparation and protection
Nobody:
ActionLab: "Here's 10 reasons to keep fumed silica in your pantry"
Check bottom of description bud
@@boisdntcry5742 that's no warning, it's lazy, and irresponsible.
@@boisdntcry5742 most of the people that watch RUclips videos don't read the full description, and the actual warning is buried under a bunch of links, I only noticed the warning because you said so, he didn't even put it on top, it was very irresponsible
If you click on show more it says down below: " *Any experiment you try is at YOUR OWN RISK. The Action Lab assumes no responsibility for any injury if you attempt anything you see in this video or on The Action Lab channel. " Also for anyone doing experiments it is logical to find out more.
Looks like asbestos. And though fumed silica is not listed as a carcinogen (yet), I would NOT mess around with it like that without a proper mask. Other silica dusts can cause lung diseases.
Wear a mask when dealing fume silica (he said this in his previous video..somehow didn't warn this time)
I was expecting a “Don’t breathe this.” Wrong channel...
Hydrophobic slime smoke
Will it blend? That is the question...
Haha, me too.
says “it doesn’t stick to you” with his hands covered in it
Yup
That was the fumed silica from the table was if u mess with the ratio of silica to slime it could be perfect
Maybe could have a nuke ready to trigger to stop this from every happening
Hi feitan
That doesnt mean it sticks to you just because your hands are covered in it

Action Lab: "Slime has become really popular lately."
Me: (laughs in 1980s)
Find another rock dude... the youth is obsessed with this stuff.
@@Themselves86 Just like how we were obsessed with the same stuff back in the 1980's. My mum hated the mess it made though, lol. Also hydrophobic sand was a big thing back in the 80's too. I like seeing the old simple toys making a come-back for todays youth to enjoy and experiment with _(this includes the "big" kids too, lol)_
Ezee Posse TV it’s not the same kind of slime though
The show You Can’t Do That on Television made it a habit for me to look up when I say “I dont know”.
Depends how you interpret lately, I suppose. I thought the same thing.
Next up: dried orange juice and pudding
Today: I invented a new material.
A year later: I made a new element.
10 Years later: I made a new subatomic particle that moves faster than light.

Oh, wow! It looks like that Chinese candy called Dragon’s Beard!
It's actually has similar principle, but instead of fumed silica it's flour, instead of slime it's syrup
“Slime has become really popular lately” by lately do you mean 3 years ago
Yeah I think so unless it's become popular again.
lmao right I was like “am I missing something?”
It was actually popular about 40 years ago. I had a board game that used slime
In geological scale that's lately :p
maybe he recorded it 3 years ago idk
This is how it looks when dust forms at cotton candy Randy's house
Lol
Happy spring cleaning day, daddies!
This man has made my lockdown amazing.
Fumed silica is a crazy big hazard to handle without breathing, eye, and skin protection.
Not trying to be a Debbie Downer just be careful when playing with fume silica as the particle size is very small and can get into your respiratory system and as well as your eyes and May cause damage. You really don't want something inside your body that is hydrophobic. Should always wear a mask and eye protection.
Him: dry water
Me: and a man with no fears at all
I agree a warning should have been mentioned about potential health risks associated with fumed silica.
Hey TheActionLab, today was a weird day. My grandmother died because of corona virus, I say weird because I haven’t fully processed that. She was a great grandmother to me and I loved her a lot. Every time I watch your videos, I find them so interesting and cool and I’m sure this one will be great too. I hope everybody’s safe and I hope this doesn’t happen to you. 🙂
Sorry for your loss
Alessio Del Frate yea thanks, didn’t see the reply earlier. I’m better now though.
My grandpa died because corona too, it was so fast, it only took around 2 weeks for him to passed away after got infected, realy sad but we have to be strong to his lost, I hope he is in heaven right now. He died 25 may 2020....
Rip
Take care guys..
I’m so very sorry for your loss - that is heartbreaking. RIP SwiftSword’s grandmother 😢
Soon on The Action Lab: I made a new color.
"this stuff is so cool to play with"
*Casually puts his hands in the blender*
Fun! Two thoughts:
1. A recipe would be great.
2. Try adding some carbon nanotubes. You might just get spidey-silk that Spiderman could use.
"I Invented a New Material!"
Honestly I'm not surprised. Everyone who watched this channel expected this to happen at some point.

Wow, this guy really reinvented a hot kneaded eraser
"Slime has gotten really popular lately"
Was this recorded 2 years ago?
Silicosis is no joke. Imagine having permanent shards of glass embedded in your lungs.
Am I the only one freaking out when he reaches into the blender with his hands?
So, naturally these water droplets have a charge once they begin interacting with this hydrophobic stuff. Dry water is entirely new to me, you just gave me an incredible idea. Yet another thank you!!!!
Me seeing this: Target acquired. Prepare for dispatch.
My mom's wallet: *sad money noises*
Don't buy fumed silica, it's nearly impossible to be safe with and the cost is permanent lung damage and silicosis.
Unoriginal
@@ARVash thanks for the warning
I noticed that you didn’t measure the amount of stuff you used with your mixture. What happens if you mix say 1%, 10%, 50%, etc. dry? Perhaps you can make something useful.
Its a very nice thought , hydrophobic slime ! As slime some times gets evaporated , this hydrophobic slime , never gets evaporated and has longer life than normal slime....👍👍
Finally someone has found a slime that doesn't make me want to vomit all over the wall
The action lab got so bored by quarantine.and started mixing stuff in his home 😂😂😘
At least he has something to do lmao
So I didn't see him talk about this but I feel like it's worth mentioning. If you were to make a habit of making this and playing with it without a respirator you would be at risk for developing silicosis, which is a potentially fatal condition...*insert facemask or "I can't breathe" joke here"*
no lie that stuff is a real hazard. if anyone reading this is getting a new kitchen counter please be careful about quartz countertops. if you decide to go with quartz make SURE the shops are protecting their staff
This man literally created a new material in quarantine
looks like kinetic sand that doesnt stick together but does at the same time
Why weren't you my science teacher 👨🏫 in school! Oh wait you're my oldest daughter's age!
How messy is that anti slime going to be? I can imagine some pretty upset Mom's! Haha

Yeah it's a point to take note of
Seriously where does this guy get all his ideas from? Most of his videos feature stuff I have never seen before in any other video. His creativity is amazing :O

I had made the same type of material with a gum i chewed for a really long time

Satisfying.
I wonder if this could be adapted to a method of makeing artificial Spider Silk, maybe more efficiently than current methods, or a better quality? the strings between nodes it takes reminds me alot of spider silk.
I predict TKOR will be taking this to another level within the next few weeks.
