- There's a saying that goes when it rains it pours. When John's first misfortune knocked on his door, he had no idea it would welcome a legion of other problems.
He was a successful businessman who was accosted by thieves and shot. This led to paralysis on one side of his body.
Then came the second misfortune...John was involved in an accident that injured his leg. He was also introduced to a life of numerous doctor's visits and a depleted bank account.
Sadly, he suffered another road accident that destroyed his leg. And just when the dad was trying to pick up the pieces, his wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer, eventually killing her.
Now John struggles to walk and has no means of fending for his kids.
He sat down with Joshua J Karanja to narrate his heartbreaking story.

Mama Norah's story and grief awakened me to pay a visit to one woman who lost her son last month.It was tooo emotional. Grieving is the worst part of losing a loved one. Let's try our best to always reach out to those grieving.God will surely see and comfort John.

To church leaders here... There's a practical side of ministry. He has land, you could mobilize members to help him till his land, grow food, support his bee keeping venture in kind. Assign people regularly to help him with house chores... Not every support is monitory...

I lost my mum 5 months ago,I was 2 weeks due..it was very painful,it's still painful.The people I thought would mourn with me did not bother to even check on me.However,I thank God for giving me a chance to know who my friends are.

@@bethmbugua6826 very true beth..you scratch my back,I scratch yours....people are so funny..they will want you to turn up when they need you but they wouldn't when you need them ..a friend of mine during the time I lost my mum,promised to visit me immediately she comes that weekend....guess what ! she did not turn up reason being that alilate while doing some cleaning..the following day she came,she stayed for some minutes because her boyfriend wanted some supper....this life no balance.
