    Actually Bhutanese real ema datshi (traditional ema datsi consists of all organic starting right away from Bhutanese Dry chillli ,i repeat bhutanese Dry chilli and Unprocessed Cows cheese right away from farm or packed ) we do not add much water in it honestly...please always remember that your own ways of making this datsi might hamper the real taste and recipe of Bhutan...sorry but that is the truth...mixing certain slice or block cheeese do not become ema datsi tho

      True. This is not Ema Datshi. But nevertheless, it's worth a try. Call it the Bharatiya version of Ema Datshi

    • @SattvikKitchen

      Thank you 😇 Ema Datshi has a spicy and savory flavor, with the heat of the chili peppers balanced by the richness of the cheese.

    I tried the recipe but cheese separated out and formed lumps, i used mozzarella cheese. Did this make the difference?

    • @SattvikKitchen
      @SattvikKitchen  2 месяца назад

      Hi! Mozzarella cheese is not suitable for this recipe. Mozzarella has a different moisture content and tends to separate when heated, especially in sauces or recipes that require a smooth, creamy texture. For the best results, try using cheddar cheese or processed cheese as shown in the video.

    To the best of my knowledge, potatoes are used in kewa datshi. Ema datshi has only chillies

      Cheddar?

    • @brinta19
      @brinta19 5 месяцев назад

      @@AayanKamal1718looks to me like Swiss. But I think any cheese that melts will work. So use whichever’s taste you like best.
      Just my opinion haha. I have never had this dish myself lol
      Edit: most definitely do NOT use Swiss hahahaha. I just tried making it today. Swiss cheese just lumped up. I then put some cheddar that went well. I also used some Mexican blend (you know what that is if you live in the west), and that was good too. Was delicious!!
