I never liked Liv with Edison or Jake or the Magnum PI guy and today I realized why. It's not just because she belonged only with Fitz but also because she was so powerful that she emasculated anyone who wasn't equally as powerful.

Sometimes I just like to take a look at a lot of the older scenes, especially while the show is on hiatus. I love this one; I think that all three of them were funny, lighthearted, and cute.
Yeah this was definitely one of my favorite Scandal scenes. I feel Shonda has the ability to write amazing seasons, but only for the first 3 (This first 3 seasons of this show and GA are my favorite) I watched the show through to S5 but I didn't really enjoy after the first 3.
This is why i like the Jake Olivia Fitz triangle, this scene is so layered. It funny because of the sparring match going on between Fitz and Liv and Jake and Liv respectively, but also serious because someone did break into her home with the intention of killing her, but funny because like a kid with a crush Jake is happy to bug Olivia and Fitz assigning him to protect her gives him more opportunity for him to get under skin (which he knows he is even after the revelation of her now knowing Jake has been spying on her), funny because Olivia doesn't get her way for once with Fitz and that he will use his presidential powers to protect her how he sees fit, regardless of how it may frustrate Olivia and yet the elephant in the room is the fact that Olivia and Jake have now slept together and Fitz has no idea.
Marie Baeten I wanted him to die, but at the same time I didn't. It's weird. Though I don't completely trust Jake and don't believe that we have seen the last of him, I don't want him to NOT be happy. I just don't want him to be with Olivia.

how is it that Jake did not get the depth of Olitz from this? I mean how many pres he knows that spends the night in hospital for a woman not his wife and have someone protecting her, i.e. jake himself her reaction, having whitehouse on speed dial, all those were clues to him of how deep she was in. He didnt need to ask any stupid questions like that. I mean really jake obviously you knew cause Rowan told your raggedy self and that why you were there so why so damn shock and hurt later on when
That was all apart of the plan. Remember she don't know yet that Jake is working for both her dad and Fitz. She just found out about him working for Fitz. She don't find out about him working for her dad until season 4 when she got back from being on that island and after Fitz had Jake arrested.

Did you guys realize that Jake & Fitz were battle buddies. They fought together. He only trusted JAKE with his most prized possession. With the safety of his guarded secrets. Even after he realized they were sleeping together. He respected but despised Jake.
A lot of people have forgotten or over looked this fact. Fitz never stopped relying on Jake even after he found out about Olivia and Jake. Fitz never once questioned Jake's loyalty or trust for guarding his most secret of secrets. This is proof that Jake isn't somebody anyone should ever dismiss because he clearly he has a proven track record of coming through for Fitz. Otherwise Fitz wouldn't continue to put his faith in Jake. This also leads me to suspect that there is at least one thing that Fitz has done that only he and Jake know about and that Jake has helped to cover up and has kept quiet about. What else would prove Jake's loyalty to Fitz?
