  • Directed by renowned Australian Directors Brendan Fletcher and Warwick Thornton, this short film showcases some of the amazing Aboriginal tourism experiences that are on offer throughout Australia including adventure, remote cultural immersion, iconic Red Centre and outback experiences, rainforests in the tropics, and urban cultural experiences. It aims to increase awareness, interest and participation in Aboriginal tourism and dispel misconceptions that Aboriginal tourism experiences can only be found in hot, dry and remote areas.

Nice to see Australia embracing Aboriginal culture - it's a shame that has only happened as part of a tourism marketing campaign - but hey - Fake it to ya make it! I hope these tourism operators are owned or at least hire the local aboriginal people. They're AWESOME.

I had the opportunity to spend a year traveling around Australia as a young person. Some of the most remarkable of my days there were during the brief time that I spent with an Aboriginal family kind enough to respond to my out-of-the-blue request to visit for a research project.
This video brought back wonderful memories and made me happy to know that these types of experiences are now available to more tourists. I hope that this media campaign comes integrated with a rural tourism plan, as well as education for tourists on the very real problems that many Aboriginal communities face.
PS I always say that the Aboriginal Australian accent is my favorite of all accents in English!

Great positive message yet cringe-able for its emphasis on rich white baby boomers traveling and getting pampered while “enlightened”. Let us hope they took a moment to understand aboriginal history. Hope they had the respect to read up a lot before going.

As an Aboriginal Australian, I loved this ad. I welcome visitors to come to my land to learn and share my culture with. What is sad is that many white Australians are not as enthused by our existence due to ignorance and racism. Its interesting the outside world values us more than our own country people. To you all, please come and visit, learn and share.

I'm curious about the aboriginal food i saw in this video ( l'm a foodie). yes it seems outside of Australia many people are fascinated with aboriginals. It's a bit shameful but i admit i didn't know their existence a decade ago, i didn't know who were the original inhabitants of Australia untill i saw a documentary..

Honey spot is how real interactions between the Australian Aboriginal and mainstream occur.whilst this ad is propaganda to make tourists believe we have good history when really we don’t.At the start of honeyspot Tim says he’s from Moore river where the children from the stolen generation are kept and the swan dance in the hoenyspot is a metaphor for the entire books theme,Where the Aboriginal people and mainstream have different ways of performing the swan dance. This can be seen as everything in the book. The ranger believes that the western rules about cutting down trees is the right way whilst William disagrees and believes in his aboriginal way.
