What I want to know is when cutting grass 6 to 8 hours a day every day. How long are those batteries gonna last. When those batteries stop holding a complete charge how is the power gonna be effected
"My viewpoint is if if you've got a tool chest in the area where you're letting me be, you must be OK with me using that tool chest" That's some seriously twisted "logic" right there. Be better Brad, be better.
Generally the electric zero turns are a few hundred pounds heavier BUT they can shift the weight lower, so hopefully it will be just as safe as the gas equivalent. That being said, who knows? :)
Really curious about the dB rating... That is where electric should really shine. It's in facilities maintenance (i.e. A University mowing around classrooms, library, and housing) that noise reduction would really shine.
What I’m worried about anything that has software update we know that cellphone in perfect condition after so many years no longer supported how long will toro electric be supported and what’s the cost of whole battery pack if you have to replace in 7 10 years. I know electric fork lifts battery replacement is extremely expansive and those are not even lithium
Looks like a great mower, I just don't like the blade/spindle and adapter setup currently on it. I feel like that could become expensive to replace overtime as well like you said, could build up grass over time
I know the electric equipment is gonna come out swinging this year!! Always great to see a video from you Bud. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns
For anyone who's considering buying the electric commercial mowers from toro, my advice is don't. They're death traps, especially the stand on mowers. What I experienced from running them is 1 or more drive motors will lock up suddenly and the operator will get thrown off. This issue is still happening to this day, it's not worth the money, the other companies have electric mower technology that is leaps and bounds better.
I don't think TORO has any commercial electric mowers out in production, which model did you use that had that issue? I would like to cover this issue so any specifics you can provide would be appreciated!
@@CopperCreekCuts I ran a stand on mower at one of the test sites. The 2 main issues I experienced was the sensitivity in the controls, which made it almost impossible to cut a straight line, made operators nervous when mowing around objects. The other issue which still exists is one or both of the drive motors would have a fault code and would stop suddenly while in motion, the other motor would keep going at the speed you were traveling and would immediately turn and the operators would go flying off. Multiple people were injured including myself. I'm disgusted with toro releasing this unsafe product to market without getting it 100% developed. We asked for a safe guard that would slow the machine safety when a fault occurred but never got one, I ultimately refused to operate it again. How toro handled that was one of the reasons I left the company.
Hey, a company using your videos possibly without permission to advertise a product called the “jet nozzle” basically they’re saying that if you attach they’re hole nozzle to a REGULAR hose with REGULAR pressure, your hose becomes a magical cleaning tool able to clean off any dirt
I'd like to see a difference between it and the ryobi....I've been eyeing the ryobi, mainly because the batteries can pretty much be swapped with non-proprietary and it's cheaper (so far). My only question is whether the performance warrants the differences.
100 ah lead acid deep cycle goes for about $180.....equivalent lithium battery is $400 lithium will get more expensive, not less, in comparison to lead acid. so I'm not sure where you are getting your info...but if you want to swap them out for lithium, you actually can, most come with their own BMS to handle loads similar to lead acid....so go for it.
@@machaf Ryobi has a new 80v swoppable battery 30, 42", and 54" Lithium ion battery zero turn, (3) 80v and (4) 40v swoppable batteries that you can pop in extra batteries for extra run time, the 54" is $6K compared to Ego's 52" 56v (6) 12ah batteries zero turn mower at $7K
love Toro, I personally won't get into their ecosystem, already invested in EGO. But holy crap, thank you thank you Toro, if is wasn't for you guys EGO wouldn't constantly update their line of tools.
I have my 61 inch grasshopper mower raked opposite of how you explained the electric mower discharge. Back of deck lower than front and i used to run the front lower than back with tall grass the back of deck being lower its much easier on the motor. Works for me mowing here in St. John’s county fl
I have recently had a go on the UK version of the Gravely which is under the Ariens brand. For the UK they had to slow the drive speed down but it was still scary at half speed. I think this Toro is coming to the UK as well, but low emissions zones in cities and towns will help sales of this machine for local authorities etc.
I hear msrp is going to be around 30k . Not going to see any in Florida. Maybe up north. Down in Florida my mother in law pays 50.00 per month to have lawn mowed. Everyone with a truck or even SUV in Florida cuts grass.
Make it a 48 Volt 20 kilowatt hour battery that can be plugged into house, garage or shop to power them in an emergency and you have a $15000 back up battery that could power everything in the house for a day or two before recharging. Shit make the thing and I'll sell it.
@@CopperCreekCuts You know they'll be expensive especially for a 3 seasons machine. My ex Mark sits in my garage between mowings and in the last 20 years I could've used that feature to save two fridges and a deep freezer full of food my basement from flooding because sump didn't have power and my house from being damned uncomfortable on multiple occasions. On top of that you could charge it primarily off solar and use it to charge your car/truck in an emergency.
If this cordless battery powered mower is as good as their Toro E26 two stage snowblower then it's great News!! The Ego snt 2400 two stage snowblower isn't nearly as good as the Toro E26 and they both are the same price 😉⭐🌲
@@CopperCreekCuts YES, my pleasure! Thanks for your interest and videos. I'm researching both the Ego products and Toro products. I'm calling both companies and dealerships throughout the entire USA, Canada and South America to help figure out which company makes better quality products. As a commercial mowing business, I need my big mowers to run at least 6 to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. The cost of the battery commercial zero turns…..I can buy at least 2 gas mowers, that’s a lot of gas. I would love to embrace the E-Mower world, but not at today’s pricing. I have switched to EGO push mower and spin trimmer for my detailed cutting, that works for my business.
💚💚💚 Brad, I'm really excited about the new battery lineup can't wait 💚💚💚
You going to go all electric pretty soon.
Love your videos
I'm waiting for that quiet place three video! :D

How will ALL landscapers have to go EV by 2024 in Cali?
I thought it was just no new gas sales in 2024, not they couldn't use any. Not sure though.

How but the price to replace the battery’s , how will be the disposal for all this batteries ?
