You're not the only one, Cris, that wants to be IN culture and not just watch it go by. Culture is in the mess it's in because Christians have abdicated their responsibility of being salt and light to society. They have mostly hidden in their church basements watching bad Christian movies (except yours, of course) and attending Bible studies waiting for the cultural storm to pass over. We need to all pray for the Christians, like Cris, attempting to influence our society with Biblical values and ideas through their vocations in Television, Film, Art, Entertainment, Literature, Journalism, Education, Academe, Professional Sports and Politics...to say nothing of service to the poor. God has called these artists and gifted them like Bezalel (Exodus 31, 25, 2) to be Salt and Light to our culture. Pray for them. Plan a career to be part of them.
