If I had to pick someone as the best ever I have to go with Wilt. He has the best combo of size + power + agility + stamina + skill ever. People don't realize this guy was like a Victor Wemby + Giannis + LeBron hybrid. He was an inch taller than Shaq and could run a 40 yard dash in 4.6. If Wilt came along today the sports media would explode into a frenzy. He could also pass and handle the ball like a guard at his size. He had a nice mid range fade away and bank shot at his disposal. Free throws is literally the only thing he was not elite at. Yet even with his bad FT shooting he still managed to be top 5 in total points, tied for first in PPG, and have the 4 highest PPG seasons ever. No player ever was elite at everything but Wilt may have come closest in being elite at all but 1 thing. Wilt is the only player to lead the league in all of these categories at some point: Scoring, rebounding, assisting, FG%, triple doubles, win shares, PER, win shares per 48, TS%, offensive win shares, and defensive win shares. By this I mean there is no one else where you will find they lead the league in all of them at least once. Wilt is also the only player to lead the league in 3 or more categories simultaneously multiple times. Many will try to knock his competition as being "weak" but he faced a hall of fame, top 75 all time player as his main position foe for a quarter of his career. As far as "winning" goes that is an entire team accomplishment, players, coaches, front office. Wilt's teams lost 4 game 7s by a total of 9 points (2.25 pts per).
