I have used 03-11 Crown Vic shifter lever, it points up and is correct length to keep geometry correct. The lever is actually between the trans case and MLP so it clears the floor. Uses the oem floor shifter and you can modify the factory rod. I don't have the number handy but a 3/4 shift rod from a Hurst 4 speed works perfectly without bending.

Sorry you've been feeling poorly, but glad you're feeling better. I find it interesting on how you've done the shifter linkage. Thanks!

Gentlemen, 😉 loved Watching Jeff and Cam back in wrenching action !!! So I have the AOD floor shifter from a 87 T Bird Turbo coupe, with it's bent, black shifter and plastic T handle, including its lower shift cable bracket on my 65 Stang coupe. I also used the factory shifter cable, with its adjustable slotted end, and slider bolt, which works perfectly with my AOD, that came with a "down" type tranny shift arm.. I'm planning a 4R70W, and I have a spare Turbo T coupe shifter and cable assembly for my 65 Fastback, though you're adventure here, now highlights some of the additional engineering I will face when I get to that point.. I will be watching to see you're solution here.
I do hope you're feeling better soon. And PS, what's with knocking our "rust buckets" up her in Jersey pal ? Just kidding 😃.. Take 😘 care ...

Easy bake oven pickup, that's a new phrase I haven't heard before. I'm always learning something new when I watch.😄

I used the 07 Fusion center console and the shifter in my 75 Torino with 4R70W and 98 Explorer shifter cable turned great and looks really good .

Currently doing same on mine, same spirit but a bit different tweak on SN95 shifter & transmission crossmember. Only the result counts 😁 Take care !

Just picked this video to at random to ask a non-related question if you…
Have you or could you do a step by step video on how to install the ‘lighter distributor spring(s) for improving performance in your classic Ford?

I have a 67 mustang with the 470r AOD and the stock 67 mustang shifter. Not sure why yours has the external box you showed but I’m sure you could remove it like the stock mustang AOD trans.

Are you going to edit your previous video which recommends the shifter rod that's not going to work?
