If he was a brillian man he'd know that the colonial period was the golden age of africa. In 200 years time Europeans dragged africans from the stone age into the industrial age. Along the way they eliminated cannibalism, human sacrifice, headhunting, ritual torture and constant tribal warfare. They also taught africans how to read and write. They also gave africans freedom from starvation and epidemics.
I guess that's why africa had it's first population boom during colonialism. I guess that's why africans had a higher standard of living and greater life expectancy during the colonial periond.

When you talk about socialism, many here in the west wanted a more social democracy such as Norway, Finland, and Sweden. Those people have democratized the enterprise. They don’t have to compete. See your daughters and sons have to pay an enormous amount of student loans, enormous amount of health care no pensions. But in the Scandinavian countries they aren’t competing for those basic liberties. As jobs were taken overseas by corporations, competition is eliminated. You can’t compete when the elites get free labor or cheap labor. So they same things that happens to the blacks in Detroit and Birmingham with the factory jobs, are the same things that happened to parts of Kentucky and West Virginia to white Americans. Where there’s poverty, there’s crime and overdose.

I've lived in oakland for almost 60 years. I met huey in 1986, three years before he died and about 5 blocks from where it happened. On the morning he died, he had been on at least a three day Crack smoking binge. He was in the upstairs of a house on 9th and center street in Wes oakland and owed drug dealers money from getting drugs on credit. He was so intoxicated that he got scared and paranoid, especially when he found out that one of the guys he owed was down stairs in the house. He knew his life was in danger. So he left early that morning before daylight trying to make it to his car which was parked nearby and Tyrone robinson known as "Double R" followed him outside and demanded him to pay him his money which huey did not have. So he shot him three times in the face at close range.
