As a fan of Fairy Tail I can say with honestly that Edens Zero is way better than Fairy Tail.

FUN/SAD FACT: Hiro Mashima the creator, said that he didnt have many friends back then, thats why he made Fairy Tail. A show that makes him feel like hes just having fun like drinking with a few of his friends.

You could think that Edens zero, fairy tail and rave master as an multiverse just like how DC and Marvel does things. Mashima said that all he works are part of his Mashima world/Mashimaverse
There is a manga called hero's basically a crossover of edens zero x fairy tail x rave
Edens Zero has been my favorite manga for a year now, it’s so amazing and takes all of the good parts of Fairy Tail and makes them even better imo. Also yes the Demon King is Shiki’s “grandpa” in the beginning of the first episode he calls him grandpa through the series.
The noticeable difference between the Happys is while Happy in Fairy Tail has a white tipped tail and Happy in Edos Zero is Black tipped, and Happy in Fairy Tail always has is green bag on his back while Edens Zero Happy has a collar with the little charm. There is one other huge difference between them is Fairy Tail has wings, This Happy is Also A set of Guns

Natsu: meathead, loves fighting, kind but abrasive.
I like that they're so different. Haru is pretty different as well. From what I read in the Mashima Hero's manga he seemed to be the smartest of those three XD
Shiki being a crybaby is so different from Natsu who cries so rarely and when Natsu cries it's a really powerful moment/scene thou.
@MercedesLP Yeah, Haru is like, the adult of the group, he is mature, smart and level headed, while Natsu is more agressive and dumb. Shiki though, is just a little kid, he has the age and looks of an a adult, but his mentality is the same as a child.

Part of the Mashima experience is looking for the alternate versions of character from his other works. I can' imagine a fan of Mashima would complain about alt characters. It's so much fun : P
He did, you omnipresent silly billy. That was Pino. He even made her before getting the idea to put Happy in, because Mashima couldn't fit her into the first chapter the way he planned, and you don't _ever_ start writing a Mashima series without a mascot. Why do you think Happy loses all relevance as a character beyond being Rebecca's gun after Pino shows up?

Edens zero gets so sad and serious in some parts mostly during and after the sun jewl arc I love it

Basically what Hiro Máshima did was that he recast the Fairy Tail characters onto this new show. Basically how actors play different roles in different movies
Definitely a wrong interpretation,
Rebecca and Lucy and Natsu and Shiki are COMPLETELY different characters. Lucy is from a rich family while Rebecca is an orphan, Lucy was new to magic while Rebecca took the place of Natsu as she knew a lot about this world , Lucy's known strength is her intelligence , while she is also a mannered lady Rebecca is the opposite.
Natsu and Shiki now, So first their Backstories are also different, Natsu had lost Igneel but he didn't accept the fact and tried searching for Igneel , Shiki was completely different he did lose his father figure but he accepted that and tried to be what his grandfather wanted him to be. On their personalities Natsu is a hot headed freak who likes to fight and doesn't use his brain much , Shiki is always excited and a down to earth person whose goal is friends - this is because for like 14 years of his life he was taught that friends are the greatest thing- Shiki is also a crybaby and emotional person.

When you said "I found Levi from Fairy Tail", the other two with her are also from Fairy Tail, Jet and Droy, they are a trio called Team shadow gear, and it's their designs after the 7 year leap in time.
Believe me, if you thought the first couple episodes hit the feels, just wait. This series will have you balling your eyes out...

To clarify Fairy Tail characters' presence in the show, Mashima likes to bring characters from his previous works as alternate versions of themselves in his newer works. Jellal and Plue from Fairy Tail, for example, actually came from Rave Master. Jellal even used to go by the alias of Sieghart, which is similar to Siegrain, his counterpart in Rave Master.
In the same way, even though a lot of people mistake Shiki for being a version of Natsu, he actually comes from the protagonist of Mashima's Monster Hunter manga, called Monster Hunter Orage. He's even called Shiki as well, except his last name is Ryuho rather than Granbell. (〜￣▽￣)〜

it´s like Fairy Tail the difference is Natsu narrating the story are impossible because he doesn´t have monologues and can´t make explainations to the readers it´s stated by Hiro Mashima himself in interview
Of course as other people said mulitple times in other interview Mashima stated Lucy is another MC on May 6, 2012
That´s why the Narrating parts is Lucy´s role but Natsu is stated as the MC in the Grand Magic Games afterword
Shiki doesn´t narrate the story either like Natsu but you will see yourself won´t spoil or say more.
I also know that this show gets darker. This show can get very happy and very sad at times. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions and there’s actually 25 episodes but only 12 on Netflix for now. So far there’s 19 episodes out and last week episode 20 was supposed to be out but didn’t because of a broadcast that was aired. But overall I love this anime.
Just to let you know only the first 12 episodes are on netflix the anime is still airing currently
I watched it on netflix binged it within a day cannot wait for the other eps btw i'm still waiting for the rest of 7 deadly sins since they split the final season in 2 probly due to havent been dubbed yet
Majima missed the opportunity to call Happy's gun mode "Trigger Happy"
The "friendship" theme is all over the place in the first saga. It's lesser in the next few sagas especially because of the darker themes.
@@XBitX he didn't learned a lot from fairy tail, fairy tail wasn't supposed to be dark for the most part. Hiro Mashima wanted it to be a light and fun series because he was exhausted and tired after writing rave master wich had some dark themes through out the series. This just the mix of both fairy tail and rave master
surprisingly, mashima actually used that more as a joke as well as a goal for shiki to reach rather than to use as a means of winning a fight.

Eden Zero, Fairy Tail, and Rave Master use relatively same-looking characters with minor visual differences, different personalities, and different names
Man if you've read Rave Master you'd be hit with a lot of feels almost made me cry 8 times in that manga.
When rebbeca says "happy will always be happy" it can be taken as a reference to when Natsu says "Lucy will always be Lucy, even if only the head remains, she will continue to be our partner".

Mashima's writing skills have improved more through the years ,hes also doing a great job on fairy tail 100 years quest ,much respect for a legend he's writing Edens zero and fairy tail 100 years quest at the same time 👆

I've already watched the first 19 episodes and it's really good! I'm also reading the manga so I already know what happens but it's great to see you reacting to it. You'll love it, I'm 100 percent sure. Although I must warn you, Eden's Zero is a little darker than Fairy Tail. And the blonde haired guy is named Weisz by the way. He may be cute, but he's pervy and a bit of a jacka*s 😑😂

Happy is here too because he was a mascot, just like Plue, who came from Rave Master to Fairy Tail, Happy came from Fairy Tail to Edens Zero. It's a Mashima thing, the mascot of the series is carried to the next one, and the new mascot will appear soon in the history.
Elsie though, is just because Hiro like Erza design and character, so he decided to reuse it, just like Sieghart(Jellal) from Rave Master, who is the favorite design/appearance of Hiro, so he always reuse it, no matter the history.

The Happy surprise stunned me. Just wow, those first 2 episodes were sad
First 12 episodes for me is kinda slow, but the second half got interesting. For me, fairy tail and one piece collaborated to make Eden zero.

Expect a One Piece in space with a touch of Fairy Tail's lightness and Rave Master's darkness. The music is a mix of HxH and Star Wars osts 😁
Although the similarities with Mashima sensei's past works visually turned a lot of people off but once you give it a try you'll realize it's indeed an amazing show.

Theres a difference between power of friendship and wanting to make friends.... Shiki dont get power from his friendships unlike natsu lol.
Natsu´s powers makes sense because he has Flames of Emotion since the Erigor fight unlike otther characters

true some fights were bad to some people but they aren´t friendship power ups
The stronger his enemies are the more Natsu is able to expand his own power in response it´s stated by Erza herself in GMG arc

Literally power of friendship as in gaining powers through feelings to protect their friends... I really hope the animation for Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest picks up considering what JC Staff showed us they were capable off with Edens Zero.
the drawings of the manga are still much better, but the adaptation seems to be still very well made, in any case I hope that season 2 will also be adapted because it is especially from the that Edens Zero explodes

Yeah you’ll see a lot of cameos of Fairy Tail characters in this show. It’s mainly Nalu but also other people, like Gray and Juvia, Plue, and even people from other guilds.

@@baguette1363 You say that like Anime's/Manga's that started out really good and stayed that way for a while that eventually went so far down and got worse and worse have never existed.
Even some of the greatest anime/manga have fallen victim to fates such as these. True Edens Zero has a really great start and so far it's been pretty good, it could still suffer the same fate as some of my previous favourite animes/mangas have.
Also, Edens Zero does have some plot holes, don't deny it.
On another note, plot holes are pretty common when it comes to magic/mystic based shows/animes. Only a handful of magic based shows/animes have actually avoided that.

Have you ever seen Rave Master? It was Hiro Mashima's work before Fairy Tail. I was a fan of it, which is why I picked up Fairy Tail when I found it. Plue was in there as well. He was some character Hiro made in school, which he used for his series. He was then reused for Fairy Tail and had some of the same powers, although lacked the summoning ability in Rave Master. Sieg Hart's character design was reused for the different versions of Jellal. The reused character designs are far more common in EDENS Zero. I think the two guys the Levy look alike was with were meant to be the two guys she would team up with normally in Fairy Tail.

If it helps explain things, it is implied that the similar to the Edolis Arc in Fairy Tail, their is a parallel universe version of all characters in every universe. The anime even decided to play with that thought by doing their best to rehire the same voice actors to play the alternate universe counterparts.
I watched the whole season in a couple days. It’s fun, funny, cute, sexy, sad, way better than some of the stuff I was recommended.
This show is basically like Fairy tail ;-;

yes, his "grandpa" as far as we know raised him but he is also the demon king. well as the king in episode one said, he played the part as the demon king when rebecca said something about it.

The show takes place in the same universe (read Mashima Hero's because its a crossover of all Hiro Mashima's series) so thats why some characters look the same and everything.
