    As a Marine Veteran, I'm glad to see there are gentlemen like you that understand the warrior in a garden mindset. We all want peace, we all want to be left alone to live our lives in our own simple ways. But we need to understand that wolves are at our doors. If we don't stand together, we will all die with the sheep. Keep up the good fight.

    • @FreedomInc
      @FreedomInc Год назад

      And we will all infact die. As the masses of sheep openly suoort the tyranny. This is due to wilful ignorance. The policing forces are 100% unconstitutional. It wasn't the intent. But when you habe all of the "muh I took an oath" puppets who don't even understand what our constitution is. They have no idea what it states. They have no idea ehat freedom is. And absolutely no idea what rights are. Thats why freedom is dead and gone. In the 1840s slaves were free to do as they were told. Thats all that you are free to do.
      And they are not knowing at the door. I guess you have been under a rock ignoring what's happened to your countrymen. A clear indicator that you are one of.those who know nothing about what I mentioned above.

      This man. It’s really interesting because I play paintball and the outside knee down is generally how you roll out of cover because it minimizes your exposure. Yet in the army I’m taught the other way around! Also was just playing around with feeling it out and I honestly think it’s MORE likely to fall out of cover with outside knee up! You have zero stability unless you way over expose your self

      if you are on the side of 2a and understand the constitution, then you will realize the founding fathers prefigured the civil war, and all other civil wars and uprisings to come, and they wrote the 2a for the exact reason haley states, that violent conflict between oppressed and oppressor (and i mean it in the real way not some social justice liberal college way) is cyclical and it will always keep happening because it is intrinsic to human nature, biology, and evolution. hence the jefferson quote about the tree of liberty, there is no finality. there is no end. the only thing that matters is the means...the principle. every generation must find their own purpose and will to continue the fight for liberty, and if they have it in abundance, to fight to keep it.

    I'm an instructor. I teach outside knee high. If in my class you want to go inside knee high, be my guest. I know that thought process behind both. Outside knee high keeps your team mates from bumping you out of cover. Inside knee high exposes less of you to incoming fire. Way I figure it, I'll explain the pros/cons of both and let the student decide, so long as there are no safety issues. My job is to educate, not win arguments with students. I just explain and let them run their own drill and fight their own fight. I do agree you should ease into a kneeling, for reasons Haley outlined. I happen to find both knees down the most comfortable, but that is personal preference. I have spent hours in a position in a knee, on concrete, and pretty quickly you start dancing from one knee to another to both, even in knee pads, because its uncomfortable - you should think about how to shoot from either.

    100% agreed. I've taught for almost 30 years and weapons, techniques, tactics, etc, etc, are always evolving. It never stops and we have to move with it. What applied then may apply now or it might not, it may be a modification to older techniques, tactics etc. It also means we should not forget what we know/learned/taught or were taught in the past but to evolve to a smarter and better way of fighting by leaning from the past, the present and be prepared for the future and the unknown it holds over all of us. I have my favorite instructors who made me who I am today but all of my instructors are part of me, not just my favorites. I am a product of them all. You learn from everyone you seek instruction, the good, the bad, etc. A great instructor should always remember to be a great student and should not forget that we will never know enough as individuals and have to continue learning and evolving together. I've always listened to you and your information but unfortunately have never been able to take a class with you. Regardless, I can listen and learn as well as perform and learn so keep up what you are doing, you are doing the right thing broheim. I have been asked by many, why don't I do what you are doing and like so many of my friends who do what you are doing. The reason is exactly what you stated in the beginning, the animosity involved and commonality of CEI. I've seen it since the Corps in the 90's and I have never been a friend/fan of instructors who make a living shit talking other instructors. Do what you do and it'll convince me/them/us through learning and training but your hate, animosity and disagreements won't. I'm not a joiner by any stretch of the means. My friends have their opinions and enemies, they made them for their reasons but they're not mine, so I cannot and will not hate them for the reasons you chose. If I/We hate/dislike everyone that everyone else hates/dislikes, we're doomed to fail because eventually no one will get along and the process of learning and evolving will slow to a crawl if not cease all together.

      How long has paintballing around and then ask yourself how long war and tactical gun fighting has been around. I can’t believe someone is bringing up paintballing which is 100% a replica and copy of real gun fighting and being tactical not to mention, you don’t die when you get shot with a paintball gun so a lot of those real life tactics get watered down even if getting hit with a paintball doesn’t feel great. Travis Haley actually enjoys paintballing with his son I believe so I’m not putting it down, there’s just a difference and they should not be compared IMO.

    the only absolute in a gun fight is to win & sometimes a win means you retreat! the experience of being shot at , or someone trying to kill you , if you survive , puts you in a mindset that will drive you to never want to experience it ever again!!!

    As an Instructor for 20+ years, I always remind my students that I am a student as well. There is no "absolute" technique simply because every human body is different, moves different, has physical limitations. Certainly after left hip rebuild, right knee replacement, and right ankle fusion........my body is definitely different. I've had to adapt my teaching style and techniques to my own limited range of motion. Younger AI's are great teaching tandems to bounce demonstrations off of and won't short change your class. This "Community" is loyal to a fault at times to where we are constantly waiting to find issues to critique. Rather, unless something is outright dangerous, we should be brainstorming ideas off each other. You only have limited space in YOUR personal "Toolbox", so take what works for you and share the rest with others so they can do the same. FFS, especially recently, we are proving to be our own enemies.

      Even though Haley doesn't like constrained thinking, IMO that perspective should be kept as an "advanced" concept. In college you are taught to accept the facts given to you as truths. When you enter post graduate work you are told to question everything. The reason is that questioning means to gauge pros and cons, and as a novice you cannot accurately do this especially if you don't have any real world experience to back your logic. This makes things very confusing for newbies like first gun owners who want to start training but get overwhelmed with a bunch of different things and they may not focus on stuff that matters. Like newbies should be told to test and don't look at things as single solutions, but they should be given a generic solution first, and alternatives only when it doesn't end up working. And often things don't work not because they can't work, but because someone hasn't had enough practice to do it well yet.
      Like people want instructors to tell them what to do and what their personal opinion is. That's why they signed up for a class. (Well there are people who get insulted if an instructor tells them to do something, but those people aren't there to learn like everyone else). That's why people often want instructors to shoot their gun or look at their loadout and junk. The pros and cons can come later, but people should be given a hard foundation to treat as fundamentals to start with.
