Thank's for that, Craig! 60 years ago today I was camped at High Falls on a ten day journey with a friend. Five days at the Falls in a leanto then off to the leanto near Cat Mt. and back to Wanakena. The lookout tower was still on Cat Mt. We saw three people the whole time. I was 18 and had spent the summer as a counselor at Camp Massawepie. After that journey I got on a train to the Northwest to college. Thanks, again.
Wow, the area must have been so much wilder then! No GPS or other modern technology to rely on and far fewer hikers about. I love hearing these stories. Glad you liked the video. :)
@@craigriedel4688 We had a USGS map and a compass. The trails were well marked. Not as much water on the trail as you had but still were spots. Thanks again.
