Most stores had pick up available. When you try to open the screw using the tool shown in the video, try to angle it a certain way so it can pull it loose. I had to try for a while but it worked. Once inside, those two metal plates were out of place. Once I put them back the controller was like new again. Thanks so much for this, saved me a ton of money.

Question for you: I removed everything and cleaned the plate, when I put everything back together, it would not turn on. Did you do anything unique to reconnect to your PS4? Thanks for the video!
No. my controller connected normally check your ribbon cables to make sure they are connected and not damaged also try plugging it into the PS4 when you turn it on
I have a scuf infinity but when I play fortnite it keeps shooting randomly when I don’t want it to and when I’m not even pressing R2 do you have any solutions.
Alcohol is safe for electronics as it evaporates quickly. I did dust it with compressed air and flipping the metal things didn't work. Just cleaning the contact points with alcohol on the gold circle fixed my issue.
@@TheInfamousGammer01 for some reason when I do this I can't get the back L2 side to click into place assembling it. Fixed the trigger springs... feels okay, maybe a little too stiff. Just cant figure out why it wont close and catch that little hook that the white hole catches
yeah this doesnt work in 2022 the screw is tightened to the point where nothing works to losen it unless u have the correct Key. Never buying a SCUF again and wouldnt recommend anyone to buy one.

For anyone still having issues, I did it with a tiny small flathead screwdriver down the middle look at a tutorial online
Mine was the scuf infinty the old one so the screws wer security torx 2 ways

I have the same problem, open the controller and replace the broken trigger with a trigger from a regular controller it will work the same way.

Danny Benson I had that exact problem and I despise Scuf Products. There Customer service is excellent but after a while it is exhausting.

no sadly i bought a different brand called Aim controllers way better quality
buy some tact switches and soldier the terminals to the contact pads on the scuf chip they will last much longer than the janky solution scuf uses.

My game does the same on fortnite but with my L2 it randomly aims in and spams stairs when I’m building it makes the game nearly unplayable

Bro the microswitch which is underneath the paddles has stuck inside the controller and the paddles dont seem to click help me out bro
The Left d-pad button went out on mine and the paddle only works sometimes. If I open it and clean that maybe it’ll work again ?
