All the telephone lines are down because Stevie needed guitar strings. His hands are the definition of hard blues and soul.

I love Stevie's interviews after he got sober and clean. He would really open up, and you could see the kindness and humility he had. Such an inspirational person as well as an UNBELIEVABLE guitarist!

      Thanks for the post!
He talked about his sobriety and how thankful he was to be clean at the Alpine Valley concert he was at peace with himself and God...at the time I listened to him, but leaned a little more toward jazz/fusion guitarists
When I saw him live Stevie blew me away. Still to this day the best Texas guitarslinger I have ever seen. RIP Stevie and RIP Johnnie Winter another Texas blues icon

When Stevie and Jimmie say the same thing in the beginning and laugh about it. It just shows how close they were and loved each other.

@@blacksabbath1022 I reckon you need those big strong hands to bend 0.13 gauge strings, and that's the reason no one can get his tone

I'm currently reading the book "Texas Flood: The Inside Story of Stevie Ray Vaughan" ( by Alan Paul and Andy Aledort). Those two boys were guitarists almost from birth. I'm a Northern Canadian who grew up living in a musically cultural wasteland, and blues performers never showed up in my town. That didn't stop me from seeking out these amazing artists though. I have amassed quite the sizeable record/CD/DVD collection now that I'm 67 years old. Stevie is dearly missed.

Was this when he moved back to Dallas to live with his mom in his childhood home? It was recently sold for 160k which should tell you a lot. Just cool thinking famous rich SRV would live there as an adult. Long live Stevie Ray Vaughan! Glad to see Jimmy at the recent unveilings of the wall mural in cockrell Hill and the statues at Keist park. He’s an oak cliff Dallas legend. Austin needs to relinquish their claim, he’s even buried in Dallas.
