- We are catching overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Train travel is Diggy's favourite way of transport so she was very excited about 11 hours journey on Thai train.
Train travel in Thailand is very affordable, we paid 1600 baht for bottom bed and around 1500 baht for top bunk bed if I can remember properly.
Next destination Chiang mai and we are very excited to explore North part of Thailand.
So this overnight train Bangkok to Chiang mai was a bliss and sleeper train travel in Thailand is our new favourite way of travel from now on !!!!

Travelling by the train to Chiang Mai is definitely the way to do it! And it was surprisingly comfy and I got a good nights sleep (once I new I wouldn’t fall out of the bunk 😂) I would recommend it to anyone and it’s a really good price! 🥰

Hey David 🥰 make sure you book your train in a week in advance 😉 trains are beying booked a lot these days 😉 we wanted to go from Surathani to Bangkok the other day and everything was booked, we had to stay in Surathani 2 more days 😉

Nope couldn’t do a sleeper train 😅 has to be 4* or 5* cabin with my own throne and shower we couldn’t share with other people 🤢 lol
Haha Diggy hearing you swear is ace 😂. We’ve heard Chang Mai is excellent and have some of the best elephant sanctuaries around too.

You will love Chiangmai. It is amazing place with it own charm. 🙂 If you have time, try to visit Mae Kam Pong, Chiang Dao, and if you could wake up early try a fusion Khao Soi at Khao-So-i (I'll be more expensive than usual Khao soi but worth a try, make sure go there early. the place open at 11)

Do you get food on the train? How was it? And is coffee in the morning available?
Hi 👋 they didn't serve food on this train but on a way back from Chiang mai to Bangkok there was food so I don't know why it wasn't any food on this one. There was no coffee also on this one but on a way back to Bangkok there was coffee available.
Maybe because this train was a bit newer then the one we caught back down to Bangkok... really don't know

BEST THING TO DO IN BORACAY ISLANDS.
1. Island Hopping in Boracay Islands, it is full of white sandy beaches, blue indigo waters and dreamy sunsets. Known to be unexploited paradise. The stops often includes the beaches of Lapus-lapus, Ilig-iligan, Crocodile Island & Magic Island.
2. Visit Puka Shell Beach in Boracay, it is located in Yapak, Malay, Aklan, tricycles and boats going to Puka Shell Beach can be hired from White Beach.
3. Ariel's Point is the most popular for the 15 meters high diving boards where adventure junkies can leaf off to the clear waters below. It is located in Batason, Buruanga, Aklan,purchase a ticket from Ariel's house in Station 1 where the boat leaves to Ariel point.
4. Explore Mount Luho, is the highest point of the Islands, rising 100 meters above sea level. Tricycles from any stations can be hired to take you to the Mount Luho entrance.
5. Visit Crystal Cove, is one of the must-visit Islands hopping destination when you're in Boracay. Outrigger boats heading to Crystal Cove can be hired from Station 1.
6. Bulabog Beach , also known as "back beach", is popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing competitions. It is only 5 minute walk towards the east from D Mall Shopping Center, located White Beach Station No. 2.
