  • JF.Egwo F40 4000A Portable Battery Jump Starter Review is today's video. We have sponsors reach out to us to review their products and, well, candidly, sometimes they're not the best. And we always tell you guys when that's the case. But other times, the product is really impressive, and we tell you that too. This portable jump starter from JF.Egwo is the later: super impressive! We unbox it in the video to show you what it comes with, then we put it to the test on our deader than a doornail Ford Ranger. Come see how it did on JF.Egwo F40 4000A Portable battery Jump Starter Review!
UPDATE!!! We no longer recommend this unit. Although it did great in our initial tests, we left it in a cold garage for a few nights and the temperatures seem to have killed it. Battery never came back even after repeated charge attempts. To us, this makes the unit useless, as the convenience of being able to keep it in your car or truck for emergencies is a big part of why you'd buy this unit. In order for it to remain effective, you have to keep it inside the house, and make sure you stay on top of keeping it charged. We have replaced this with the NOCO Boost Plus GB40, and are much happier with the long term viability of this unit. Get your NOCO at Amazon: amzn.to/3Zp041H

I've been thinking about getting a jump pack since my antique jumper cables gave up the ghost. Might need to look into this. Wonder if it's jump a 60 series Detroit in my Western Star? 🤔 Great video thanks!

We've used this a few more times since the video posted and its surprisingly strong. We wouldn't be surprised if it could start your Western Star without any issue. Its a super handy device to have around. Thanks for the question!

    Doesn't have short circuit protection??

Honestly, can't tell you. I feel like it did, but we no longer have the unit. We left it in the garage a couple nights where it got really cold and that was just too much for the unit. Killed the battery and it never came back. Very disappointed. We've since replaced it with a NOCO Boost Plus, which does have short circuit protection, among a LOT else, and has withstood the cold without issue.
