If the underachiever from the 1976 Rocky gets into shape like he did against Apollo faces the Tyson that destroyed Berbick and Spinks this is what would happen. Rocky was a little slow but though as nails and had tremendous power. But he would find Mike extremely hard to hit. Mike would time Rocky easily and counter. A hook to the body followed quick to the head would put Rocky down in the second round. The stallion would beat the count but face the most brutal combination of punches he had ever felt. The ref would stop the beating and Mike would still be champion. If we are talking about the Tyson that fought in Tokyo then it could be more interesting.
Mike Tyson had incredible endurance. He would look as fresh in the 10th route and as he did in the first. That's one thing people underestimated about Tyson, is great endurance.
Tyson was meant to be the villan in Rocky 5 and was in talks to star in the movie. However Stallone pulled out realizing that casting Tyson would mean he would have to kill off Rocky.
By Rocky 3 Rocky’s speed, followed by his power and resilience would be too much for Tyson, and Rocky by Rocky 4 has all those attributes with even more experience. He’s not just tough, he doesn’t give up. Because Rocky has will power very few have.
This video should inspire Stallone and Tyson to go ahead and make this movie using the best de-aging technology available. And make the movie just a matter of the two best ranked fighters being put in the ring together. The training montages of these two in particular would make the film worth the box office price. The most realistic Rocky character for Mike Tyson is Clubber Lang and we all know Clubber knocked Rocky out. He was the only one in the series to ever stop him so Imagine that being Iron Mike instead. RIP Rocco.
Tyson is barely a top ten heavyweight in all time rankings who lost to every decent heavyweight he faced except a retired Larry Holmes. Tyson runs out of steam early and Rocky wins by knockout before the 8th.
This scenario was basically played out when Rocky fought clubber Lang. I think two better CGI fights would be Apollo Creed versus Muhammad Ali. And Clubbet Lang versus Mike Tyson.
A prime Mike Tyson had a whole lot more stamina, defense and smarts than Clubber Lang. Tyson doesn’t get the credit he deserves for defensive abilities earlier in his career. I’m talking before he fought Buster Douglas. I think that Tyson would destroy Clubber Lang. Rocky might go the distance, but his face would look like a pile of hamburger given he leads with his face. I believe that version of Tyson would even beat the Apollo Creed-trained Rocky in Rocky 3 because he would be smart enough not to punch himself out.
That's why it's pointless to compare IRL fighter with a fictional one. IRL Stallone vs. IRL Tyson - Tyson obviously wins even in his near-60's. Sly got beat up by Roberto Duran in a light sparring in 1979 during the filming of "Rocky 2" movie. Duran is a welterweight, and Stallonr was jacked to the gills and buffed for the Rocky role in next movies. Still got beaten easily.
@@alexferrana3979what? He wasn’t a boxer or even had much training by the time he made the first movie. Nor was he “jacked” in it. Stallone actually has a lot of boxing experience at this point. Rocky would not have won in Rocky 2, possibly not even have gotten in the ring, if she hadn't woken up, but then she did and told him to not only fight, but win. Rocky 3, the beach monologue plus getting him to admit his fear so that he could push past it is HUGE! Then she goes from telling Rocky he can't win to showing up in Russia and saying that she's with him, no matter what. Simply put, he does NOT win in 2, 3, or 4 without Adrian by his side, and he prolly does NOT beat Tyson without Adrian by his side.
If we're talking about right now, I think Sylvester Stallone would defeat Mike Tyson. Stallone wouldn't even need the "Rocky Balboa" movie character to defeat Tyson. If we're talking prime, Mike Tyson would defeat Rocky Balboa.
You usually get these right, but 100% missed this one. You cant fabricate a scenario based on BOTH boxers in their prime and then start to point out deficiencies of a fighter when they are NOT in their prime. Tyson wasn't in is prime when he lost to Douglas in 1990. His pick a boo style started changing as soon as he got rid of Kevin Rooney. Also, 1988 Tyson was unstoppable and didn't have endurance issues as he was perfectly trained with all his discipline, so how could none prime weakness be used here when they never existed in his actual PRIME? You're giving Tyson a weakness that NEVER existed in is actual PRIME. Also, this is supposed to be Rocky in his PRIME after the Drago fight. That Rocky left with brain damage. So given the scenario, there is absolutely no chance for Rocky to even challenge a prime 1988 Tyson who was extremely powerful, fast, and impossible to hit. Got this all wrong on this one.
Something else to consider. Rocky's decisive victory over Tyson hinges on the idea that he can outlast him and then knock him out. Rocky isn't known to win bouts with legendary fighters by decision. The one time it did go to decision (his first fight with Apollo), he lost, and was in the ICU for several days. With that known, as well as what you said about the fighters being in their actual Prime, Rocky would have to survive being knocked out for 5-6 rounds, then use the remaining rounds to either setup a knock out (I don't think this is likely) or playing more technically, and trying for a split decision. This goes into territory where either fighter can come out on top, with a slight edge to Tyson. A disciplined Tyson in 1988 isn't going to be easy to knock out, even in later rounds.
@taemien9219 Exactly! A true PRIME Tyson was damn near impossible to defeat. Also Rocky never out boxed anyone. He lost the 1st Creed 1st and would have lost the 2nd had Apollo gotten away from his ego as he wanted to KNOCK Rocky out to prove a point. Rocky was also not strong enough to go toe to toe with Clubber and had to let him punch himself out to win that one. That strategy would never work on Tyson who essentially had he power of Clubber, the stamina and defenses of Ali alone with the speed of a Sugar Ray Leonard.
@@rotaryperfection I definitely agree with you on the assessment of the second fight with Apollo. Apollo wasn't exactly in his prime, close but there was a reason he was retiring. Some people disagree with me, but I think Apollo was the best fighter in the Rockyverse.

Rocky because he's a fictional character and it's in the script.. oh wait maybe Tyson because it was in the script? Who knows.. maybe whoever has more money.
First of all you’re wrong, Tyson didn’t have stamina issues at all. He could easily go 12 rounds which he did a lot to see what it was like so don’t say he had stamina issues. Tyson had great stamina. He will go 12 rounds with bigger fighters.
I don’t even think Sylvester would be able to even choreograph a fight with Mike Tyson without getting knocked out in his prime So that probably goes right out the window that fight no way Rocky survives It’s the punch you don’t see that knock you out The Russian Rocky seen those punches coming he just braced four of them And as far as clubber versus Mike Tyson, I believe clubber was modeled after Mike to a certain extent as a fighter in the movies We seen Mike Tyson is a horrible actor when it comes to acting as a boxer as we seen with the Jake Paul fight
Ya'll are trippin' Rocky is 5'7" at 210 lb something, Vs a hungry street savy 5'11", 220 lb Tyson. Iron Mike would DESTROY him in under three rounds. No matter how much he could take, he's not getting up from a Tyson hook or straight right hand.

So it is "Clubber Lang 2.0"
What about prime apollo v tyson?👍
Prime Apollo was a match for Rocky. It would be no different.
Stupid comparison, why not Rocky Marciano (the real one) v Mike Tyson smh.
Depends on what movie you're going with. One- two and halfway through 3, 5 and Balboa, he loses. Second half of 3-4 he wins
It all depends on Rocky's frame of mind.
Rocky because he's a fictional character and it's in the script.. oh wait maybe Tyson because it was in the script? Who knows.. maybe whoever has more money.
Rocky wins because hes borderline superhuman

Experience Rocky What about offense/defense?
First of all you’re wrong, Tyson didn’t have stamina issues at all. He could easily go 12 rounds which he did a lot to see what it was like so don’t say he had stamina issues. Tyson had great stamina. He will go 12 rounds with bigger fighters.
Tyson would air mail Rocky's head to Adrienne in the first round!
Rocky from Rocky 3 and 4 would destroy Tyson. Tyson would probably beat Rocky from Rocky 1 and 2.
I don’t even think Sylvester would be able to even choreograph a fight with Mike Tyson without getting knocked out in his prime
So that probably goes right out the window that fight no way Rocky survives
It’s the punch you don’t see that knock you out
The Russian Rocky seen those punches coming he just braced four of them
And as far as clubber versus Mike Tyson, I believe clubber was modeled after Mike to a certain extent as a fighter in the movies
We seen Mike Tyson is a horrible actor when it comes to acting as a boxer as we seen with the Jake Paul fight
Tyson would win in his prime and now, balboa ain’t a fighter just an actor
Rocky wins hands down!! Fictional characters can LITERALLY accomplish ANYTHING. Are you kidding me?
When will y'all stop disrespecting Mike??? Prime Mike would leave Rocky requiring smelling salts 💯
Great video. Rocky has the eye of the tiger 👊
What about Usyk v Rocky? Usyk isn't really like anyone that Rocky has fought before
Ya'll are trippin' Rocky is 5'7" at 210 lb something, Vs a hungry street savy 5'11", 220 lb Tyson. Iron Mike would DESTROY him in under three rounds. No matter how much he could take, he's not getting up from a Tyson hook or straight right hand.
What’s up with these stats? Stallone and Tyson are pretty much the same height. 5 ft 9 / 5 ft 10
Stallone was around 200lbs in the first Rocky
@@axelstone3131Lol Stallone aint 5'9 alone ...Mr T was around 5-9 ...5-10 Tyson height and size is more comparable to Mr. T
you guy's can't be serious!! rocky is just a movie! silvester stallone is a actor!! tyson fights in real life
Next Jackie chan vs Michael' jai white
Only if it’s Rocky IV.
