I'm totally team John. I doubt that any girls would be okay if their current boyfriend always spent time with their ex. It's just the truth! John just seemed like an angel compared to Peter.
I'm a totally team john too! If the author would make us see some interesting things about john it would ve even better. Cause we only saw johnny as a smart and caring person but we didnt get to know him strongly if you know what i mean. I felt like we could have bond with john so much better
I agree with you completely that John is an amazing gentleman, he's classy and sweet... but I didn't feel the chemistry between Lara Jean and him. Peter K is definitely her number one guy
I totally get your feelings about Peter. Like, I was so mad at him about the necklace issue. Like, dude, you don't /ask/ for a present back. You already gave it away; therefore, you hold no claim to it anymore. Wow. Another thing I found really *wow* about this book was the Genevieve's secret. I felt so sorry for her when I found out, and the scene where Genevieve let (forced) Lara Jean to tag her was just...Well, to see her broken down like that, stripped bare, really hit home. And yet, she manages to reject Lara Jean in her classic Genevieve style, which is of course Byotch 101. And yes, I would date the crap out of John Ambrose McClaren if I wasn't a) too young to date and b) forever alone due to future plans to live in a mansion full of books and cats happily alone. I have to say, I half-expected Peter to get together with Genevieve in this book and Lara to get together with John Ambrose, but that didn't happen, and I must say I was relieved. I mean, I love John and everything, but as you said, Peter and Lara Jean just have really good chemistry. Despite his many flaws (most of them vanity and pride issues), Peter really does seem to genuinely care about Lara Jean and he's good to Kitty, and I admire him for that. Anyways, you probably have better things to do than read my useless drabble, so I'll stop now. :) P.S. I still love your videos. P.P.S. Ooh! A hanbok! I've seen that kinda dress before (probably when I was on my Asian culture kick) but I didn't know what it was called. It's really pretty, btw. :)
Peter kept saying "oh we're (Gen) just friends blah blah blah" like in the first book you said you didn't want to be controlled, and you NEEDING to be her support. Lara Jean was right to be upset and scared about that. It was hard to love Peter, John on the other hand is just lovely~
I don't know if this is how some "team peter" feels, but I honestly love peter's character just because out of all fictional male lead characters I've read before he's the most realistic one. The flaws in Peter that you have mentioned are the very things that made me love him. Idk, maybe I'm just tired of all this perfect male characters that usually sweeps us girl-readers off our feet. Peter is a breath of fresh air to all these usual YA male lead characters. He's adorably imperfect, like he's a douche at times and he's obnoxious and vain but you can also see that he cares for Lara Jean and he's really trying. And I feel like it's not impossible to meet a Peter Kavinsky in real life because I actually see him in a lot of my male friends (ok. maybe just not as handsome as he is. XD )

I'm team John! He's perfect..he's dreamy. Yeah. I'm struck with second lead guy syndrome. Idk. It's just that with john, she doesn't have to compete with other girls for his attention. She comes first. I don't want any girls to come in between me and my guy. Especially if he gets to choose her over me.

I kind of disliked how Peter only reacted because he got jealous. He was basically using Gen as a constant emotional wall, but as soon as LJ got closer to John he was like "Uh no, you're mine".
I loved this book so much! & yes, I am a Peter fan but I definitely understand your problems with him because he did annoy me too, especially when he was being secretive about Gen and the whole necklace thing. I also agree with you about John and Lara Jean not having chemistry but I guess they didn't have a chance because Lara Jean was still in love with Peter. My favourite thing about the book was the character development and family dynamic. I liked Margot so much more in this one and Kitty is the typical annoying but endearing little sister. Also, your hanbok is beautiful!
Oh my goodness, I have been anticipating this review from you because you're one of my favorite book reviewers! I absolutely love this particular duology by Jenny Han, and even though I'm a Peter fan, I felt the same exact way you did in terms of how he approached things and how he kept keeping secrets from Lara Jean. So don't worry, you didn't irritate any Peter fans! :) I also thought that some events in the plot line came out of nowhere, like the Assassins game. But nonetheless, they added fun drama to the story. Thank you for this WONDERFUL review!
I completely agree with you about Peter Kavinsky! He's not a bad guy at all! I loved him in the first book but in this one, I felt that he was distant from Lara Jean and I understand he was doing what he had to do but still. I really didn't like him when he and Lara Jean started acting cold towards each other after they broke up. I felt he acted more cold which was unnecessary and kind of jerk-y lol. I agreed with Alicia and Stormy about her dating other guys cuz at that point, I was so mad at Kavinsky. Lol.
Everything you said is SOO on point! At first I was so inlove with Peter bc he's just so cute around Lara Jean and gahh he's so adorable but truth to be told you're right. I hate it when Peter hide things from Lara Jean especially the thing with Gen. It's just so frustrating! Like why can't Peter give a little heads up when he brought Gen to the old tree house. He knew Lara Jean wast pleased with the thought of having Gen around, but what did he do? He brought his bitchy ex-girlfriend and thank God, John was around and in that case it wouldn't be so awkward on Lara Jean's part. She has a distraction. You know that feels? Anyway, about John and Lara Jean's chemistry, you just said the right words! They really don't have chemistry that's why I wouldn't appreciated it if they ended up together. Sure, John is one heck of a dreamy guy but tbh Peter makes it all a thrill. I like this book and of course your book talk. I just keep on nodding and nodding to all the things you have said.
I know it's been a year since you posted this review but I had such strong feelings about this book the first time I read it that I had to block it out a little. When Jenny Han announced she was writing a third installment in this series I decided to re-read the books. The first time I read P.S I Still Love You was in June 2015, I was in an airport in New York (because I had gone to BEA) and my flight kept getting delayed because of bad weather so I decided to read the books I had with me. As I read the book, I kept shaking and a couple of factors went into this; i was anxious about the flight, the airport was freezing, but mostly it was because of how mad I was at the book. When I finished it I was still feeling this way so I just decided that my experience at the airport had influenced the way I read the book. But now that I have read it again I have realized that it was actually the book itself giving me anxiety. I didn't like the lack of communication between Peter and Lara Jean but I would forgive him when he did nice things like the Kitty birthday thing or when he went to her house and they cuddled. But he was still at Gen's beck and call and that irritated me because he knows exactly who she is and still defends her to Lara Jean. While I understand the situation Gen was going through I don't think that is a good enough reason to share the Peter/Lara video and get away with it. Peter completely overlooked the fact that Lara Jean had been really upset and it could've hurt her in the future just because it was Genevieve. And the locket incident really pissed me off. I also completely agree on the Kitty thing. She's always meddling and she chooses Peter's side over Lara Jean's which made me really sad for Lara. After she broke up with Peter she basically had no one, only John Ambrose McClaren was there for her and he was so sweet! I always knew it wouldn't work out with them but it was nice that he was straight up with her about his feelings and he understood her better than most people. The ending was very rushed but I'm hoping the third book will go slower and instead of having this whole Gen/Peter/Lara Jean drama it can just focus on Peter and Lara Jean building up a stronger relationship and being cute. I felt like this book didn't have as many cute moments as the first, mostly it was drama and sad moments. I still have a lot more thoughts on this books and I'm sorry it was so long but I needed to get it off my chest and you are the first I've seen that has addressed these problems so thoroughly.

I personally am a pretty big Peter fan but I and found myself anxiously gritting my teeth but i wasn't irritated because you expressed your honest opinons in a very kind and non-offensive way (if that even makes sense). I also understood all the reasons behing your opinons and found myself agreeingwith you about john, the instagram plot scandal, and the whole thing with josh and the song sisters. I kinda wish that issue was resolved more but still i really enjoyed this book! Probably a favorite read of mine for 2015!:)

I'm a huge fan of Lara jean and peter but i felt the same way about peter while reading. Everything you said i couldn't agree more and yes the necklace ticked me off the most and I honestly felt bad for John how he was just ... left after she finally got to experience how it would feel like to be with him cause the way she left things with John just seemed awkward and wrong even though i want peter and her relationship to work out cause I am so emotionally attached to them I felt he treated her better I don't want them to end up together i just was just worried how their relationship will be later on. And has any one noticed we never got to read JOSH'S LETTER its probably too late now
I loved that you showed us your hanbok. I had a hard time picturing it because I've never heard of it before reading the book.That's the beauty of diverse books. I just finished this book yesterday and honestly I feel incomplete :// And btw, i totally agree with ALL the things you've said xD Kitty was pretty annoying sometimes and Peter was just... OHMYGOD that dick move of taking the necklace back. -.- Anyways, is it really just 2 books? No more? Because it's like... What will happen to Peter and Lara Jean how that they're COMPLETELY serious? What will happen to the Song girls' dad and Trina? And will Peter finally stop "comforting" Genevieve (and what about the thing with her dad?)? Or will he still do it but communicate with Lara Jean about it? Margot? Josh? Like... I understand they found another interest but can't they try to mend things and be friends than be strangers? And John... I felt so sad for him :'( ugh! The book was great. I felt so many emotions. The ending... It's acceptable, but i thought it could've been... Better... And... Longer i guess? Like a better closure for the characters xD Nontheless i definitely enjoyed reading this book! :) Also, just wanna throw this out there: At some point I was so annoyed with Peter that I hoped John would take Lara Jean and they will be the one together in the end. :p
I totally agree about all your points about Peter. I don't love him. They have their cute moments, but you look at them and you just KNOW there are going to be big problems.

I agree with absolutely everything you said! I loved peter at the beginning of the book but a couple of chapters in and he was already annoying me. By the end of the book I was so team John!

I know it's been ages but I just need to scream in the void, and yeah this is the perfect place. I am not even mad at the characters, I understand them as flawed individuals. There was no resolution! And the whole she broke his heart first thing. Heavens. I am mad. And then the third part also doesn't resolve things. It's just yes, miscommunication was the thing but it wasn't truly resolved and I am so mad about it because that's simply not how things work. The two had a lot to apologize for and then they didn't exactly do it either. It was strangely validating to listen to you rant, helped a lot because I couldn't help but second-guess whether it was merely my preference to have more communication (please talk!) or the resolution really sucked. It gave me a headache because I feel so strongly about it. I don't think the third one offers any resolution to the second part issue either which is why I am not able to move to it either. *deep in-breathe* Yeah, I will live now.
I hope she makes a third book of this series but just mostly be about Peter and Lara Jean being cute and adorable like the first book or maybe just with other guys and seeing her meet them
I super hate the part when he wrote a poem for Lara Jean's birthday and it turns out to be the poem they analysed back in 7th grade. i just feel the urge to knock him in the head and curse him out loud! but on the counterpoint, I loved John Ambrose's character. he is just sweet and gives the giddy feeling and I feel pity for him when I knew he wanted to invite Lara as his date during prom and Mr Covey misunderstood him bcs he looked like he was cleaning the lawn and paid $10.

I understand the love for John, I do. But I understand why she loves Peter, it felt like a contest at first. Gen always trying or seeming like she wants to take Peter back. Laura Jean isn't over him and they have unfinished feeling. Laura Jean doesn't realize that she's acting exacty like Gen being petty and jealous. She could have ended up with either guy but I respect Jenny's decision for the character. I like Peter but I would've been fine with either. :)
but I completely agree with your opinions. Peter is such a fustrurating character actually both him and Laura Jean. They don't communicate well and it's aggravating. I do this thing in when reading books where I'm like I'd be so easy to apologize and explain (like you in the video) or if someone gets caught doing something and don't make up a quick explanation or lie and it gets on my nerves when the characters just don't get it and are just aggravating. 😂😤😒

I am honestly a Peter fan even sometimes he can be so irritable. I loved John so much he was so sweet and smart and flat out told Lara Jean his feelings for her, but I just didn't feel as much chemistry as I did with her and Peter in the First and Second book. Lara Jean and Peter's situation was just so real and it hit me hard, emotionally. I love all the minor guy characters but my favorite is Lucas out of all of them. He was really flattered by Lara Jeans letter and I just thought he was such a sweetie. If he wasn't gay then I would love him as a main guy as well but I feel like he is just too good and perfect and Lara Jean needs someone with flaws and unfortunately Peter has them but I think its better that way. Sorry I kept ranting lol

I agree that the ending was rushed. Honestly, I think there could have been another 50-100 pages. I kinda wish there was an epilogue of some sort so we can see if Lara Jean stayed with Peter or got together with John and see what Kitty grew up to be like.

Tbh I loved your honesty about the book first of all because I feel like a lot of book tubers they don't post about things that they don't like or they just talk about all the good things I think it's very important to talk about eveything because are not going to love everything about the book. I kind of wish you talked about your thoughts on Genevieve. Overall liked the video. I also didn't really like kitty all that much like i like her. she was you could tell that she was annoying little sister that you just loved any way that was what i think Jenny Han was trying to portray in kitty. AM I TOO LATE? OK so i literally read the two books back-to-back within like 24 hrs and I LOVED THEM. i loved them so so so much. ANYWAY im a peter fangirl. WITHOUT a doubt. like i liked John. but I just found myself thinking about Peter after the book. Like i was SOO infatuated with him because he was so real to me. And for John, like what LJ said about Lucas, he's the guy the girl should chose in the movie. Anyway, Peter reminds me of an actual boy irl so I was drawn to him. And i completely agree with what you said about their relationship too! Also about John, he's like the second lead and usually I'm VERY into them because they're the ideal person of what the boyfriend or girlfriend should be like but i just couldn't picture them together right now. (i was way too into Peter at this point) something about LJ and Peter just did it for me. Whatever /it/ was.

So I was just done with P.S I Still Love You and decided to look up on RUclips for any fanmade stuff since I was too high on feels AND I happen to stumble upon your channel. So watching your reviews on the two books got me smiling and agreeing so I had to subscribe to stay tuned for more.~ Regarding your review, I totally agree on you with the Peter parts although I myself fell head over heels for Peter during the first book. XD I still adore him but I think he should work on his flaws a little so that their relationship could become more beautiful than it already is, just as how you had put it! I totally agree with you on Kitty. She was a b*tch almost all the way through but her sisters still adored her! In some aspects I think Lara Jean and Kitty's sisterly relationship is a bit fake because I can't imagine any teenage girl saintly enough to forgive Kitty's actions time and time again. Also I thought that LJ getting back with Peter at the end was detrimental to her. She was so happy & having so much fun in the short time she spent with John that even I was glowing for her just reading about it. And then she went back to Peter after everything?!
I'm for John Ambrose McClaren just because people think there was no chemistry between him and Lara Jean just because there wasn't much of situation where they can meet or bond or talk about a lot of stuff. I still think John is perfect for her, first and true love will come for both of them!!!

While I like Peter, he did get on my nerves in this book, but I was also rooting for John Ambrose McClaren. I understood why it ended up where it did, but it felt too rushed. It needed to be longer.

I def think that a third book is a huge possibility cause I don't think Jenny Han is the kind of person that would leave us hanging! Hahah. For example the summer I turned pretty series which basically ended with everything explained and into belly's early 20's :)

I agree with you, too. Peter is idk how to put this, a lesson. I feel like he was a lesson for Lara Jean, but the reconciled things far too quickly. It ended too fast. I really wish things with John could have worked out. He obviously puts Lara Jean first, unlike Peter. But, I am also kinda glad things work out with Peter, but they still have to figure out how they are going to handle Genieve (ik thats mispelled). Your advice on him calling Lara Jean was so perfect, I couldn't agree more, although its still going to be an obstacle. ohmygosh i hate peter too. i like him sometimes but sometimes i hate him. in the first book i was kinda like oh hey peter i like you but as the story progresses i just wish josh's character was more emphasized despite his breakup with margot.i wish peter has like more effect on me idk. i mean he's sweet and all but just like what you said he isn't that verbal to his feelings and thoughts.

I agree about Kitty, but I think Jenny Han built her character for a purpose. She's such a great foil to Lara Jean in that she's harsh and abrasive and explosive while Lara Jean's meek and meager. I appreciate her as a literary device. As a character? Spoiled bratty crybaby :-)

I absolutely LOVED this book and the character development in the 2nd book personally i loved both books bcz in the 1st book Jenny Han was able to fully describe allt he characters so i was able to fully understand when i was halfway through the book..and i just loved all the DRAMA between Peter and Josh and it honestly made me shriek so much! Omfg it was just unbelievable..And in the 2nd book.mI agree and Jenny Han made Laura Jean seem more realistic to me and How Laura Jean and Peters relationship was in PROGRESS..and how they developed over time..😍😊😀 and then suddenly John appears again and this book was so mesmerizing to me! And so John suddenly appears and then it CRATES this whole Drama!!!! and it just made thjbgs much more interesting..I AM HONESTLY A PETER FAN..PETER IS SO DAMN HOT..😍😗😗 And i loved how it ended as Laura Jean and peter together! Okay so all saw the first movie and I was all team Peter. I really enjoyed him and I felt that Noah Centineo did an amazing job. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to read the To All The Boys book series. When I read the first book, I HATED peter. I felt like he was so annoying at times and he was very cocky to the point where it was annoying and I did not enjoy the first book. The second book, I was a HUGE John Ambrose supporter. I felt like he really cared for Lara Jean and he seemed very interesting and I really enjoyed him and when Lara Jean did choose Peter over him I was upset. Now the third book was alright. I started to “not dislike peter”. After I had some To All The Boys movie therapy to get myself to like Peter so my heart will break more in the second movie. Anyways these are my thoughts but overall, didn’t like Peter in the books but LOVE Peter in the movies (as of right now with only having seen the first one)

I'd love a third book where that happens but if that wasn't the plot of book 3, I would rather stop here so I can write the ending I want in my head.

Awwww your ragging on Peter was so polite! Even though I love Peter until the end, you mentioned all the things that bugged me about him. I also was kind of disappointed by the ending at first- I was like wait, they never talked about their problems! I kind of blame Gen for showing up for the treehouse party and for a lot of things in general because she is kind of a terrible person (BTW what did you think about Gen? Did you feel bad for her?) Also, I totally agree with Lara Jean and John having no chemistry- I think it's because they are both too nice and sweet. NO I didn't like the whole part with John. I felt like he was too perfect. I loved Peter because he was realistic. He has flaws, but most of the time you can tell he really loves Lara Jean.

I totally get your feelings about Peter. Like, I was so mad at him about the necklace issue. Like, dude, you don't /ask/ for a present back. You already gave it away; therefore, you hold no claim to it anymore. Wow.
Another thing I found really *wow* about this book was the Genevieve's secret. I felt so sorry for her when I found out, and the scene where Genevieve let (forced) Lara Jean to tag her was just...Well, to see her broken down like that, stripped bare, really hit home. And yet, she manages to reject Lara Jean in her classic Genevieve style, which is of course Byotch 101.
And yes, I would date the crap out of John Ambrose McClaren if I wasn't a) too young to date and b) forever alone due to future plans to live in a mansion full of books and cats happily alone. I have to say,
I half-expected Peter to get together with Genevieve in this book and Lara to get together with John Ambrose, but that didn't happen, and I must say I was relieved. I mean, I love John and everything, but as you said, Peter and Lara Jean just have really good chemistry. Despite his many flaws (most of them vanity and pride issues), Peter really does seem to genuinely care about Lara Jean and he's good to Kitty, and I admire him for that.
Anyways, you probably have better things to do than read my useless drabble, so I'll stop now. :)

Peter kept saying "oh we're (Gen) just friends blah blah blah" like in the first book you said you didn't want to be controlled, and you NEEDING to be her support. Lara Jean was right to be upset and scared about that. It was hard to love Peter, John on the other hand is just lovely~
I don't know if this is how some "team peter" feels, but I honestly love peter's character just because out of all fictional male lead characters I've read before he's the most realistic one. The flaws in Peter that you have mentioned are the very things that made me love him. Idk, maybe I'm just tired of all this perfect male characters that usually sweeps us girl-readers off our feet. Peter is a breath of fresh air to all these usual YA male lead characters. He's adorably imperfect, like he's a douche at times and he's obnoxious and vain but you can also see that he cares for Lara Jean and he's really trying. And I feel like it's not impossible to meet a Peter Kavinsky in real life because I actually see him in a lot of my male friends (ok. maybe just not as handsome as he is. XD )

Great review! And I agree the ending was rushed. I kind of disliked how Peter only reacted because he got jealous. He was basically using Gen as a constant emotional wall, but as soon as LJ got closer to John he was like "Uh no, you're mine".

I loved this book so much! & yes, I am a Peter fan but I definitely understand your problems with him because he did annoy me too, especially when he was being secretive about Gen and the whole necklace thing.
I also agree with you about John and Lara Jean not having chemistry but I guess they didn't have a chance because Lara Jean was still in love with Peter.
My favourite thing about the book was the character development and family dynamic. I liked Margot so much more in this one and Kitty is the typical annoying but endearing little sister.

Oh my goodness, I have been anticipating this review from you because you're one of my favorite book reviewers! I absolutely love this particular duology by Jenny Han, and even though I'm a Peter fan, I felt the same exact way you did in terms of how he approached things and how he kept keeping secrets from Lara Jean. So don't worry, you didn't irritate any Peter fans! :) I also thought that some events in the plot line came out of nowhere, like the Assassins game. But nonetheless, they added fun drama to the story. Thank you for this WONDERFUL review!

I completely agree with you about Peter Kavinsky! He's not a bad guy at all! I loved him in the first book but in this one, I felt that he was distant from Lara Jean and I understand he was doing what he had to do but still. I really didn't like him when he and Lara Jean started acting cold towards each other after they broke up. I felt he acted more cold which was unnecessary and kind of jerk-y lol. I agreed with Alicia and Stormy about her dating other guys cuz at that point, I was so mad at Kavinsky. Lol.

Everything you said is SOO on point! At first I was so inlove with Peter bc he's just so cute around Lara Jean and gahh he's so adorable but truth to be told you're right. I hate it when Peter hide things from Lara Jean especially the thing with Gen. It's just so frustrating! Like why can't Peter give a little heads up when he brought Gen to the old tree house. He knew Lara Jean wast pleased with the thought of having Gen around, but what did he do? He brought his bitchy ex-girlfriend and thank God, John was around and in that case it wouldn't be so awkward on Lara Jean's part. She has a distraction. You know that feels? Anyway, about John and Lara Jean's chemistry, you just said the right words! They really don't have chemistry that's why I wouldn't appreciated it if they ended up together. Sure, John is one heck of a dreamy guy but tbh Peter makes it all a thrill. I like this book and of course your book talk. I just keep on nodding and nodding to all the things you have said.
I know it's been a year since you posted this review but I had such strong feelings about this book the first time I read it that I had to block it out a little. When Jenny Han announced she was writing a third installment in this series I decided to re-read the books. The first time I read P.S I Still Love You was in June 2015, I was in an airport in New York (because I had gone to BEA) and my flight kept getting delayed because of bad weather so I decided to read the books I had with me. As I read the book, I kept shaking and a couple of factors went into this; i was anxious about the flight, the airport was freezing, but mostly it was because of how mad I was at the book. When I finished it I was still feeling this way so I just decided that my experience at the airport had influenced the way I read the book. But now that I have read it again I have realized that it was actually the book itself giving me anxiety.
I didn't like the lack of communication between Peter and Lara Jean but I would forgive him when he did nice things like the Kitty birthday thing or when he went to her house and they cuddled. But he was still at Gen's beck and call and that irritated me because he knows exactly who she is and still defends her to Lara Jean. While I understand the situation Gen was going through I don't think that is a good enough reason to share the Peter/Lara video and get away with it. Peter completely overlooked the fact that Lara Jean had been really upset and it could've hurt her in the future just because it was Genevieve. And the locket incident really pissed me off. I also completely agree on the Kitty thing. She's always meddling and she chooses Peter's side over Lara Jean's which made me really sad for Lara. After she broke up with Peter she basically had no one, only John Ambrose McClaren was there for her and he was so sweet! I always knew it wouldn't work out with them but it was nice that he was straight up with her about his feelings and he understood her better than most people.
The ending was very rushed but I'm hoping the third book will go slower and instead of having this whole Gen/Peter/Lara Jean drama it can just focus on Peter and Lara Jean building up a stronger relationship and being cute. I felt like this book didn't have as many cute moments as the first, mostly it was drama and sad moments.
I still have a lot more thoughts on this books and I'm sorry it was so long but I needed to get it off my chest and you are the first I've seen that has addressed these problems so thoroughly.

I personally am a pretty big Peter fan but I and found myself anxiously gritting my teeth but i wasn't irritated because you expressed your honest opinons in a very kind and non-offensive way (if that even makes sense). I also understood all the reasons behing your opinons and found myself agreeingwith you about john, the instagram plot scandal, and the whole thing with josh and the song sisters. I kinda wish that issue was resolved more but still i really enjoyed this book! Probably a favorite read of mine for 2015!:)

I'm a huge fan of Lara jean and peter but i felt the same way about peter while reading. Everything you said i couldn't agree more and yes the necklace ticked me off the most and I honestly felt bad for John how he was just ... left after she finally got to experience how it would feel like to be with him cause the way she left things with John just seemed awkward and wrong even though i want peter and her relationship to work out cause I am so emotionally attached to them I felt he treated her better I don't want them to end up together i just was just worried how their relationship will be later on.
And has any one noticed we never got to read JOSH'S LETTER its probably too late now

You're not alone. I completely agree with you concerning Peter, Kitty, and Josh.
I know it's been ages but I just need to scream in the void, and yeah this is the perfect place. I am not even mad at the characters, I understand them as flawed individuals. There was no resolution! And the whole she broke his heart first thing. Heavens. I am mad. And then the third part also doesn't resolve things. It's just yes, miscommunication was the thing but it wasn't truly resolved and I am so mad about it because that's simply not how things work. The two had a lot to apologize for and then they didn't exactly do it either. It was strangely validating to listen to you rant, helped a lot because I couldn't help but second-guess whether it was merely my preference to have more communication (please talk!) or the resolution really sucked. It gave me a headache because I feel so strongly about it. I don't think the third one offers any resolution to the second part issue either which is why I am not able to move to it either.

but on the counterpoint, I loved John Ambrose's character. he is just sweet and gives the giddy feeling and I feel pity for him when I knew he wanted to invite Lara as his date during prom and Mr Covey misunderstood him bcs he looked like he was cleaning the lawn and paid $10.
This duology is far from perfect but it's hard NOT TO LOVE. You were on point about Peter!! (i still love him)

I understand the love for John, I do. But I understand why she loves Peter, it felt like a contest at first. Gen always trying or seeming like she wants to take Peter back. Laura Jean isn't over him and they have unfinished feeling. Laura Jean doesn't realize that she's acting exacty like Gen being petty and jealous. She could have ended up with either guy but I respect Jenny's decision for the character. I like Peter but I would've been fine with either. :)
but I completely agree with your opinions. Peter is such a fustrurating character actually both him and Laura Jean. They don't communicate well and it's aggravating. I do this thing in when reading books where I'm like I'd be so easy to apologize and explain (like you in the video) or if someone gets caught doing something and don't make up a quick explanation or lie and it gets on my nerves when the characters just don't get it and are just aggravating. 😂😤😒

I am honestly a Peter fan even sometimes he can be so irritable. I loved John so much he was so sweet and smart and flat out told Lara Jean his feelings for her, but I just didn't feel as much chemistry as I did with her and Peter in the First and Second book. Lara Jean and Peter's situation was just so real and it hit me hard, emotionally. I love all the minor guy characters but my favorite is Lucas out of all of them. He was really flattered by Lara Jeans letter and I just thought he was such a sweetie. If he wasn't gay then I would love him as a main guy as well but I feel like he is just too good and perfect and Lara Jean needs someone with flaws and unfortunately Peter has them but I think its better that way. Sorry I kept ranting lol

I agree that the ending was rushed. Honestly, I think there could have been another 50-100 pages. I kinda wish there was an epilogue of some sort so we can see if Lara Jean stayed with Peter or got together with John and see what Kitty grew up to be like.

Tbh I loved your honesty about the book first of all because I feel like a lot of book tubers they don't post about things that they don't like or they just talk about all the good things I think it's very important to talk about eveything because are not going to love everything about the book. I kind of wish you talked about your thoughts on Genevieve. Overall liked the video. I also didn't really like kitty all that much like i like her. she was you could tell that she was annoying little sister that you just loved any way that was what i think Jenny Han was trying to portray in kitty. AM I TOO LATE? OK so i literally read the two books back-to-back within like 24 hrs and I LOVED THEM. i loved them so so so much. ANYWAY im a peter fangirl. WITHOUT a doubt. like i liked John. but I just found myself thinking about Peter after the book. Like i was SOO infatuated with him because he was so real to me. And for John, like what LJ said about Lucas, he's the guy the girl should chose in the movie. Anyway, Peter reminds me of an actual boy irl so I was drawn to him. And i completely agree with what you said about their relationship too! Regarding your review, I totally agree on you with the Peter parts although I myself fell head over heels for Peter during the first book. XD I still adore him but I think he should work on his flaws a little so that their relationship could become more beautiful than it already is, just as how you had put it! Also, after reading this book, I find myself wanting John Ambrose McClaren to be my boyfriend ❤

I totally agree with you on Kitty. She was a b*tch almost all the way through but her sisters still adored her! In some aspects I think Lara Jean and Kitty's sisterly relationship is a bit fake because I can't imagine any teenage girl saintly enough to forgive Kitty's actions time and time again. Also I thought that LJ getting back with Peter at the end was detrimental to her. She was so happy & having so much fun in the short time she spent with John that even I was glowing for her just reading about it. And then she went back to Peter after everything?!

I'm for John Ambrose McClaren just because people think there was no chemistry between him and Lara Jean just because there wasn't much of situation where they can meet or bond or talk about a lot of stuff. I still think John is perfect for her, first and true love will come for both of them!!!

While I like Peter, he did get on my nerves in this book, but I was also rooting for John Ambrose McClaren. I understood why it ended up where it did, but it felt too rushed. It needed to be longer.

I really liked this book too! Like you said I thought the ending was rushed and so I am kind of hoping for a third book but I do not think that it is a possibility. But fingers crossed. :)

I def think that a third book is a huge possibility cause I don't think Jenny Han is the kind of person that would leave us hanging! Hahah. For example the summer I turned pretty series which basically ended with everything explained and into belly's early 20's :)

I agree with you, too. Peter is idk how to put this, a lesson. I feel like he was a lesson for Lara Jean, but the reconciled things far too quickly. It ended too fast. I really wish things with John could have worked out. He obviously puts Lara Jean first, unlike Peter. But, I am also kinda glad things work out with Peter, but they still have to figure out how they are going to handle Genieve (ik thats mispelled). Your advice on him calling Lara Jean was so perfect, I couldn't agree more, although its still going to be an obstacle. Also, do you know if Jenny Han is planning on adding another book to the duology? Btw your thoughts on the Instagram scandal were on point. I agreed 110%. But, it did contribute to Lara Jean's suspcions of Gen. Also, what were your thoughts on Ms. Rothchild? Ik this is a lot but if you could answer my questions, it would be greatly appreciated.
ohmygosh i hate peter too. i like him sometimes but sometimes i hate him. in the first book i was kinda like oh hey peter i like you but as the story progresses i just wish josh's character was more emphasized despite his breakup with margot.i wish peter has like more effect on me idk. i mean he's sweet and all but just like what you said he isn't that verbal to his feelings and thoughts.
To be honest, I was really waiting for this review (Hah! Here it is now yes) I love Kavinsky but I really think McClaren is way more better than him. OMG I love the vibe of this book! Nice review anyway x

I agree about Kitty, but I think Jenny Han built her character for a purpose. She's such a great foil to Lara Jean in that she's harsh and abrasive and explosive while Lara Jean's meek and meager. I appreciate her as a literary device. As a character? Spoiled bratty crybaby :-)
I agree with your opinions on Peter! I super hate the part when he wrote a poem for Lara Jean's birthday and it turns out to be the poem they analysed back in 7th grade. i just feel the urge to knock him in the head and curse him out loud hahaha
but on the counterpoint, I loved John Ambrose's character. he is just sweet and gives the giddy feeling and I feel pity for him when I knew he wanted to invite Lara as his date during prom and Mr Covey misunderstood him ((bcs he looked like he was cleaning the lawn)) and paid 10bucks; i just need a break from this T___T

I absolutely LOVED this book and the character development in the 2nd book personally i loved both books bcz in the 1st book Jenny Han was able to fully describe allt he characters so i was able to fully understand when i was halfway through the book..and i just loved all the DRAMA between Peter and Josh and it honestly made me shriek so much! Omfg it was just unbelievable..And in the 2nd book.mI agree and Jenny Han made Laura Jean seem more realistic to me and How Laura Jean and Peters relationship was in PROGRESS..and how they developed over time..😍😊😀 and then suddenly John appears again and this book was so mesmerizing to me! And so John suddenly appears and then it CRATES this whole Drama!!!! and it just made thjbgs much more interesting..I AM HONESTLY A PETER FAN..PETER IS SO DAMN HOT..😍😗😗 And i loved how it ended as Laura Jean and peter together! (Laura Jean..can i plz just steal peter from you? or can i atleast BE YOU?!😍😍)I absolutely Lived this bokk and when i finished his book i knew that this was gonna be one of the books that i will read multiple times..and guess what i read it over 5 times..NO JOKE..😍😍😍😗

Okay so all saw the first movie and I was all team Peter. I really enjoyed him and I felt that Noah Centineo did an amazing job. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to read the To All The Boys book series. When I read the first book, I HATED peter. I felt like he was so annoying at times and he was very cocky to the point where it was annoying and I did not enjoy the first book. The second book, I was a HUGE John Ambrose supporter. I felt like he really cared for Lara Jean and he seemed very interesting and I really enjoyed him and when Lara Jean did choose Peter over him I was upset. Now the third book was alright. I started to “not dislike peter”. After I had some To All The Boys movie therapy to get myself to like Peter so my heart will break more in the second movie. Anyways these are my thoughts but overall, didn’t like Peter in the books but LOVE Peter in the movies (as of right now with only having seen the first one)
I'm not a huge Peter fan either and I love love loved John Ambrose McLaren! I love that she left it open so that maybe someday it works out for John and Lara Jean. I'd love a third book where that happens but if that wasn't the plot of book 3, I would rather stop here so I can write the ending I want in my head.

Awwww your ragging on Peter was so polite! Even though I love Peter until the end, you mentioned all the things that bugged me about him. I also was kind of disappointed by the ending at first- I was like wait, they never talked about their problems! I kind of blame Gen for showing up for the treehouse party and for a lot of things in general because she is kind of a terrible person (BTW what did you think about Gen? Did you feel bad for her?) Also, I totally agree with Lara Jean and John having no chemistry- I think it's because they are both too nice and sweet. i'm with you all the way,especially on peter! he gave me weird vibes in tatbilb and it's just clearer in this one. i liked him but i also didn't like him, and i can't fully be behind peter/lara jean because of that although i want to because lara jean is so head over heels. he's so selfish and only considerate of lara jean when it works in his favour and ughhhhhhhh. peter you gotta step things up.
