I’m spiritual and I love your channel. A lot of spiritual people are ignorant and can be manipulative, but what you eat really does affect you in every way (mind body soul). Food is fuel. Side note/suggestion: could you dive into Ayurveda and give us your thoughts? Ayurveda can include or exclude animal products depending on what the person wants.

Someone in the comments tried to convince me that humans are frugavores. XD
I wrote 2 paragraphs about how the human diet is adaptive and how that has aided in survival for our ancestors to have various sources of nutrition but now first world countries are in a position to not rely on animal products.
      They just answered “false”
      Smh. XD
Edit: my ancestors were Celtic/Nordic, my best example is, grass tasted bad, cows milk didn’t.
Water is also a example, for centuries people didn’t have potable water so we used other sources.

FYI: I had cystic acne and rosacea for years on a plant-based diet. Cleansing and topical products did not help at all, and most of them actually made it worse. Why? Because they ALL contain salicylic acid and beta-hydroxy. Medication did not help, either. Why??? Because all of the medications, including retinol, for cystic acne contain salicylic acid.
My issues with systemic inflammation - including cystic acne and rosacea - resolved without medical intervention when I stopped eating plants. Even moreso, I raise dairy cattle and goats, and I use dairy products made in my kitchen daily; my skin issues have not returned since 2015 except in those instances where I have “cheated,” and eaten a fruit or veg dish.
It’s entirely unfair and intellectually dishonest to think that as someone with zero medical training you have the knowledge base to be making the emphatic statements you do in this video, Swayze. I’m a RN-BSN, and I worked at freaking Mayo for crying out loud! I saw every specialist under the sun at the most prestigious medical center on earth for a decade before I finally figured out the source of my illness, and it was *ALL* my organically grown, garden-raised diet. With all due respect, I think you are getting a little too sure of yourself, and need to take a step back.

Veganism didn't work for her. Why do you care so much? She's literally talking about her personal choices and what she knows to be true. Also the eye roll at spirituality was so unnecessary. Honestly, she has a point about the connection between the gut/hormones and acne. My gynaecologist has been helping me with health issues and my skin calmed down a lot when we balanced some out of whack hormonal levels. The gut has huge effects on our health, and when I got more gut issues due to poor diet my sleep got much much worse as well. All confirmed by my doctor by the way. My skincare is pretty good I think and I use the same products all the time, but hormones are much more powerful than any skincare ever will be. Every month I experience it again :-).

It’s very obvious and all over her page that she’s always been a herbal natural spiritual person. She’s about you being able to understand your body being in tune with your body ect. So if you yourself are not spiritual you don’t care to tap into your roots, ancestry, the way humans were capable of being then you would never understand. I tried to be open minded and watch your view point but I made it to 5:30 before I just stopped the video, just unnecessarily condescending for not reason because her video doesn’t even attack anyone she’s literally just talking about her own experiences. For UV to then break that down and say that doesn’t apply to everyone is pointless. She said that herself and that everyone should do what works best for themself. She’s not trying to force anyone to side with her or veganism, just what her experience has been. I honestly am kinda disappointed that this is one of the ppl UV decides to break down when she never claims this is how everyone should eat.

Not only does it kill your gut bacteria via the Shikimate Pathway. Yeah we don't have that but our gut bacteria does.
Organic plants are sprayed within the last week or so before harvest. Killing back the plant making it easier to harvest the seed the lentil. Organic lentils have a higher amount of glyphosate than conventional GMO grown corn sprayed 3 to 4 times per year weather permittable. Yeah both of it is toxic.
This woman is so arrogant. And so evil. I truly think that vegans are mentally unstable. I think the lack of proper fats and hormones as well as neurotransmitters and good gut bacteria. Not only are they emotionally attached but they are severely nutritionally deficient and lacking many things. Finding your B12 in a bottle, and your D3 in a bottle. Is not smart.
All vegans get this yellow green solo color within their skin. They lack tryptophan. The lightest brightest amino acid out there, helps you taking the available sunlight, to make melanin melatonin and D3.
Far and wide they've eaten through their stores once they start changing colors.
Bone broth is where it's at. That's why chicken soup, is considered healthy. It's actually black chicken soup a Chinese recipe. Made from silkie chickens. They have black skin, and a higher amount of tryptophan in them. they were told to make this soup with warming spices. And get sunlight. It's so sad what humanity is doing to themselves. Self-sabotage self-abuse.

But what about those who believe that all things have spirit? Including plants. From a natural perspective, they have been evolutionarily “engineered” with the “will to live” like the rest of us. The passing on of DNA at the most basic level drives all living things to continue on. Plants “want” to live. It’s why so many of them they are varying degrees of poisonous. Even many of the ones that we eat are mildly “poisonous” to some degree. That is how they defend themselves. I’m not sure that anything that defends itself in order to pass on its DNA would “want” to be eaten. Yet we feel no shame because plants are harder to personify than non-human animals. Because non-human animals communicate and interact with each other in a way that we can relate to and have similar features to what we have, we classify them as more important than other living things.

An average adult skin cell takes 28 days from formation deep within the dermal layers to make its way to the skin's surface before dying and shedding, plus a lot of acne treatments take 6-8 weeks to work. If she stuffed all of her "treatments" into that span of time, I would think it's reasonable that maybe her skincare did work, but because she already discounted that it didn't and her acne so happened to clear up, she associated the treatments as the solution. I wish she would have found Cassandra Bankson who is a vegan, medical esthetician that struggles with acne or Dr. Dray who is a vegan dermatologist. I think those sources would have helped her understand all of her options before jumping to the conclusion that she shouldn't be vegan. It's sad that people go on a path and just refuse to see that their world view of what happened is flawed.

Most of what people say is really all in their head OR the root cause isn’t what they think it is. Yes, I lost 20 pounds after I went vegan. The reality was the weight loss had nothing to do with being vegan but had to do with eating fewer calories before I knew how to balance a vegan diet. I was 19, didn’t cook, so I just bought the same vegan products at the store that I liked and ate that and was just eating less before I learned how to diversify my food and simply find more options. Then I gained the weight back and eventually gained another 30 pounds. Nothing to do with being vegan, was everything to do with overeating, using food as comfort for my depression, and eating nothing but (vegan) junk food like oreos and french fries. Changes in our body happen but you can’t attribute those changes to one specific thing with zero evidence to back it up other than confirmation bias.

Unless you actually watch how your body reacts to certain products and adjust yourself as needed. Which is what she did and will continue to do as everyone else should. Especially as women our bodies go through VARIOUS changes and if you find that your diet needs to be adjusted to meet those changes then where is the bias? It’s called doing what’s best for you but the fact that she can’t say that’s what she’s doing (because people asked her) and tells others to do the same without getting broken down proves that all these RUclips “dietitians/nutritionists” solely care about pushing their own idealistic agenda instead of allowing others to find their own way.

The skin on my back was only able to clear up, after eating 100% plant based without any oil. I had really bad acne on my back since I was 14 (I'm 27 now). It all went away 2 weeks after quitting on oil. But I will have to live with all the scars, those won't fade ever.

Anyone correct me if Cystic acne works differently, but in the pictures she’s showing of before and after she clearly has ONE bad breakout happening in clusters framing her face, and says a week later it’s clearing up thanks to her new diet. In a week, acne (regular at least) starts dying off and calming down and if you’re unlucky you just get new ones, but what comes up doesn’t just stay there forever. In a week you’re diet can’t change enough to affect what’s ALREADY on your skin. The right skin care can be a big help in getting rid of if faster (although anyone who has acne trouble can tell you it could take a long time to see any results from new skin care) and stopping future breakouts, but what’s already built up in your pores isn’t going to be soothed away by any diet.
What’s more, it seems like that one breakout was the extent of the problem. At least from the looks of the pictures and how she shows the hyperpigmentation, not much else happened. I think it’s more likely she either got product in that area, perhaps didn’t get certain products off well enough, touched her face with unclean hands, OR even set her face down on a pillowcase that needed washing (which would make sense with where the acne appeared).
Bottom line, unless cystic is a whole different type of animal, it really appears that she just ran into something her skin didn’t agree with.

    • @fannyanny1673

Incorrect. Cystic acne impacts everyone differently and can remain on the skin forever (in some cases) if untreated. Some people need steroids.

"Refrain from laughing about buying animal products again." Couldn't agree more. Thanks for saying that. We see that so often from ex-vegans. I never understand it especially when they then eat way more meat and dairy than they need and when their 'new' diets include junk (bacon, ice cream etc.) If they feel so sure that they need animal products, why wouldn't an actual ethical person only eat the minimum requirement and then choose vegan everywhere else. This is never the case though, which makes me think the vegan and the non-vegan diet choices are not truly made for diet/health/ethical reasons.

17:34 When she talks about how she’s vegan for her health, the environment, _and_ for the animals, then starts fretting about betraying them … and then she starts laughing about eating them. Lmao _what?_
I’m not going to says she was “never vegan,” but it seems like she’s a bandwagoner forever looking to hitch her wagon to the next thing. Veganism was just one phase for her. She could’ve changed her skincare, stopped IF, and added more fats to her diet without eating animal products. What she really wanted was to join some poop lab juju MLM cult or whatever. It’s her life and her diet, but she should know that she can choose to eat animals without justifying it behind pseudoscientific goop language. Sis can says “I wants the factory farm nightmare flesh,” it doesn’t make her special. Far from it, it’s basic af. But I think taking the main road with the hoi polloi and losing something that makes them “special” is what bandwagoners fear the most.

The symbol that that girl flippantly wears on her necklac is considered so powerful in my culture that my mom is afraid to even hang a picture of it on the wall in her prayer room.
I'm atheist. But I think if you're gonna borrow symbols that have meaning to a group and then claim that you're a spiritual leader, you should probably do the bare minimum research to figure out what is respectful.

    • @deeptiboddapati2380
      @deeptiboddapati2380 2 года назад +7

@@sabrinavonhoegen4262 it's called a shri chakra. It symbolizes the human body within the universe. And it's a representation of the Supreme goddess Lalitha who is the substrate of all existence.
If you have it in your home, you must treat it with respect. Offer regular prayers. And not approach it when you're spiritually dirty, such as when you're on your period or haven't bathed, or have gone to the bathroom without bathing afterwards. If you treat it disrespectfully you get cursed.
I dislike this stuff a lot. I hate that I'm considered unclean just bc I'm on my period. I see how it's a form of brainwashing and mindcontrol that controls people who believe like my mom. It's a way to teach people to hate their natural human selves. This is why I'm an Atheist.
I think it's pretty lame that privileged people in America co-opt these symbols without the proper research. If you're on the spiritual side, the symbol is a very powerful, and scary object. And if you're anti-religion it is a tool of oppression. So it's just lame that ignorant ppl are wearing it like a fashion statement.

Now listen, maybe like what you've said in the video, the bold statements she made in her video may not be %100 correct but I mean come on this is her journey. And maybe her being a non vegan is what's working best for her. There's so many new studies coming out everyday. The human body is very complex and were always learning new things, so it can be hard for humans in general to choose what's best for our bodies. There are so many contradicting beliefs from multiple different studies on food. I just wish people would leave other people alone with their OWN life choices. Her choice has nothing to do with you. We've all been through certain food phases in our life (diets, fasting, etc...) she's just trying to find out what works best for her. If you don't agree with her lifestyle that is completely fine, you are absolutely entitled to your own opinion, but don't beat down others who don't resonate with your lifestyle.
