When I feel like everything in my life is out of control or I'm suffocating from stress or sadness, I dye my hair some crazy color, and just that little act is enough to help me regain a sense of control. It's great. It's both liberating and grounding at the same time.

Hey Luna, it's a struggle to get cute curly hair, and it's mostly a bird's nest. I used to straighten it every day because I hated it, but I've now found the secret! I don't even straighten my hair anymore, it looks so much better curly. Here's the secret: Don't brush it! It'll look super frizzy and not curly. Only brush/comb it out when you're gonna get it wet or straighten in, to get out the tangles. Wash it (don't shampoo every time you wet it in the shower, just conditioning will hold you over for a few days). So shower, then get out and ring it out. Don't towel dry, don't blow dry. Just let it drip dry. Then when it's a bit drier, but still pretty wet, get some product on your hands and scrunch it into your hair. Then leave it alone. Try not to touch it a lot through the day, dry hands will break the strands and make it frizz. And wear a satin head cover when you sleep, your curls will still be mostly intact in the morning. It'll last you like two days. Then rinse and repeat :)
Your hair will thank you! It's okay if you don't use a head cover, it's just a plus. So yeah, just wake up in the morning and take a shower. Shampoo or don't, just make sure you condition. And you'll have pretty, springy curls (or beachy waves!) all day! :D

Dying your hair is so underrated. Since I dyed my hair a few months ago I've become so much more confidant about my looks and I don't hate my appearance as much. I started out with a teal and right now my hair is dark blue/dark purple/black (it changes color in the light and it's awesome) it's honestly just so much fun to experiment with colors and express yourself this way. It's an amazing conversation starter too and I honestly just love talking about it with other people. Yeah sometimes people give me weird looks because my hair kind of is a bit strange (I have it so most of it is shaved and the part that isn't is dyed so there's a strong contrast between what's dyed and what's not) but honestly it's not even that bad and it feels nice to non verbally just stand up and say this is how I like to look and damn I look good so it's awesome... Everyone who hasn't dyed their hair yet pls go do it it's amazing I suggest Ion dye but if you get the Demi make sure you get the other solution that you need with it too

babypuncher I've been dying my hair for years and I'm happy they went for what they always wanted but I soooo don't think it was done well. The patches in this girls hair and how badly done her bleaching was, and the other girls hair wasn't the purple grey, it was a muted grey with brown hues.
Grace T It doesn't look sophisticated to have patches of her dark brown hair through the blue, it doesn't go well together, it looks badly done and like she did it herself with no experience dying her hair. And the roots being stretched but not anywhere else isn't a style choice, it's a badly done hair dying. The front looks fine, but suddenly the back has just random streaks of blue, circle patches of brown. This wasn't to make it less shocking or sophisticated, they did it badly is what happened. The only way to make blue in hair less 'shocking' is a few small streaks laced through, very few, or even a peek-a-boo with the blue on the underside.
Also agreeing. If you want to do it, do it. There's no age cap, no limitations what so ever. I've got incredible social anxiety and I'm really self conscious about how I look. I don't wear makeup, I don't wear cute clothes - I'm super depressed, I don't have the energy for it, and it's just not me. And I always feel like walking garbage, and I die inside if anyone looks at me. Until I dyed my hair bubblegum pink. It's the best thing. And so many people love it too, and will stop me just to tell me how much they love it. Some old ladies don't really dig it, but their husbands always do and give me a big grin! There's no downside. If you can do it, and you want to do it, ABSOLUTELY dye your hair. Nothing is too crazy.
