I have had the BMW X3 30e x-drive M-sport for the past 4+ months, as a company car w/4yr lease. Brooklyn Gray (like a gloss pigeon gray) color with the gloss black trim and brown (tacorarot) interior, fully loaded M sport package. Excellent driver and with the Plugin-hybrid, a breath of fresh air during the fuel hikes. Thanks for the nice and very details review video. I would pick the car as below (if possible): Interior#New Tech/Creative: Merc Exterior#Brand: Porsche Value#Cost: BMW Driving#Feeling: Porsche So should I still waiting for the dream car or upgrade/modify from a used timeless ultimate driving machine Porsche?
Merc the more classy and family oriented , Porsche the obvious choice if you are looking for a sport SUV and BMW the balance between the two . Audi ,, boring and the rest for the brand followers .
To me the perfect combination of user interaction and technology ( albeit not super modern, but that’s no bad thing ) is a late 2nd generation X3 (3.0d) with idrive /non touch screen but still “ professional “) , just an opinion, but regardless I love your videos Thomas long may they keep coming !
2nd generation? Complete garbage it's the first vehicles that have android auto/apple carplay which is much better then having NOTHING yet they have plenty of buttons, it was after 2017/2018/2019 models they began removing buttons.
Hi Thomas, please look on each car for at diming light of a passenger mirror. Merc and BMW do not offer it anymore. In this price level this is a joke IMO. What do You think about it ?
@@autogefuehl NO at least in Europe. BMW was offering it until 2021 or 2022 as a package for all 3 mirrors (2 outside+1 inside). Merc is not offering it even longer. IMO this is not OK against customers espacially when You are making long night trips (8-9 hours) across Europe and You're blinded by bixenon or laser-light in passenger mirror. Who is responsible for a traffic collision or serious car accident auf die deutsche Autobahn when You were blinded ? Car manufacturer or a driver or a car who blinded You ? This is in my opinion something important for Your AUTOGEFUEHL subscribers.
In NX the same...price is going up each generation and stuff fram cars is missing, quality is going down, but screens and more not usefull technology is all in. Quality in almost each of this cars is worse than previous generations. And on a long run I would not buy none of this cars(maybe except NX,lexus is lexus in terms of reliability)
As an American living in Europe, I cannot fit anything bigger than my 2022 BMW X3 in my apartment garage. It was literally down to the last inch on the X3 and I got out a tape measure before placing that lease-order with my company. The parking makes it a real challenge to go bigger. Cannot tell you how many times I've had to get the bumpers on my wife's CRV repaired. Also, fuel is a lot more expensive...(about $7/US gallon)...hence a hybrid was the way to go with that Beemer.
I’d go with Benz cuz it’s best combo of styling and reliability. However BMW is best for styling but terrible reliability, whereas Lexus has best in reliability but terrible in styling .
Wait.. am I having deja vu? Or is this a reposted video? looks like I've seen this already.. Especially when I heard the 'Murican Muscle engine sounds...
Was afraid to put it in there because it is relatively old in comparison to the others. But I still very much like it. Recent video was here: ruclips.net/video/wWldGvketwM/видео.html
but but.. no Stelvio :(?! it's the best looking in this class :). And it has the best handling out of them all .. and the worst infotainment system :D. Oh, and no Volvo? Thomas, go back to the drawing board :P..
Thomas, you do great reviews but I think you didn't understand Lexus NX at all. For example you set temperature and you don't care about climate at all because auto works great. If you want to sporty car don't buy Lexus NX. Everyone was amazed but wheel and buttons but you were confused. Please, look for other reviews for Lexus NX 350h (plugin hybrid it's not the best deal). I think that at this review you completely missed the point and purpose of Lexus NX and I saw lot of reviews of Lexus NX 350h. Also saw lot of your reviews I enjoyed. It's completely fine that you personally would pick BMW X3 because you enjoy strengths of X3 more. But for me strengths of X3 are almost irrelevant and I don't want to anything sporty and I highly prefer strengths of Lexus NX 350h.
Sure fair enough. Its not that i didnt understand the car though, its just that it drives worse than the Germans, clearly. Not taking away other advantages from it like the excellent reliability
@autogefuehl, could you elaborate more on the driving experience? I’m considering buying it. Currently, I own a 2018 Volvo XC40, and before that, I had the first generation of XC60 after the facelift. My goal is to have the most relaxing, comfortable, and safe drive. I drive at 130 km/h on the German highway due to fuel consumption considerations. I’m asking you because, as a reviewer, you have a different perspective compared to other reviewers. For example: ruclips.net/video/zIxTdooX-2s/видео.html ruclips.net/video/zZRRdDF-8FY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/qYYpePfIwm0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/v7Kyo2bZlB8/видео.html&t It’s also important to mention that even though I own a fully-spec’d XC40, I miss having matrix headlights (the newest XC40 has something similar), cooled seats, a heads-up display, and lower fuel consumption. In the city (Prague), achieving 11 km/l in traffic jams is not a problem. However, the most important features for me are Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with self-driving ability and matrix headlights. Of course, safety features, a smooth and comfortable ride, and possibly eco-friendly options (hybrid or mild hybrid) are also important. I don’t care too much about the rest. With that in mind, I don’t think I could buy a better car for up to 55,000 EUR (which is my maximum). I can buy an almost fully-spec’d NX because one person ordered it but didn’t want to wait so long, so he bought another car, and the dealer can offer a 25% discount off the original price. Anyway, the Volvo XC40 is great for me, and I don’t need to change it now, but probably will in two years. Besides engines and self-driving abilities, I don’t see where car can improve. The important tech in my Volvo is still better than in many completely new cars. So, if I were to buy the Lexus NX, I could do so in peace because for at least eight years, there wouldn’t be any point in changing it for something else. Also, Lexus has much cheaper service than Volvo or German brands. Regarding the fuel consumption, my mind can be also in peace. I was also considering waiting some time and buying a fully electric car, but they don’t have a good reputation, people get rid of them, and their values in terms of money go down very quickly. Also, I was thinking about the new Tiguan (probably a plug-in hybrid because I have a wallbox and the new Tiguan has quick charging, and the pure electric range is also OK for Prague), but it seems very ordinary compared to the Lexus. Probably, I would buy it if I didn’t have such a great deal on the Lexus NX. Thank you for any comments. Regards from Prague :)

@@autogefuehl True since cars are smaller in Europe. I imagine a Yukon would be considered a semi truck there! 😊. @Jeff S If the Genesis GV70 is so great ,then why are the sales numbers so dismal? 😆 Like it or not, there's no doubt that the Lexus NX definitely belongs "in this group;" of luxury CUVs

@@ashlynmusic8165 Genesis poor sales numbers have nothing to do with Lexus & everything to do with the fact that Genesis vehicles are displayed/sold out of makeshift Hyundai showrooms, as *Genesis is the only luxury vehicle brand without a dedicated, standalone dealership network, not to mention, Genesis dealers also have the lowest customer satisfaction rating in America* Furthermore,, when you factor in the main parent company, Hyundai & their considerable woes/reputation producing shoddy vehicles, along with Hyundai's known customer satisfaction issues as well, it's a no-brainer why Genesis continues to languish in mediocrity among luxury car buyers.
@@TheBjjones indeed, in Europe Genesis has 3/4 dealerships, which is a joke (they have had them for over a year now). monkey planet?
Trueee ....but is more expensive ....
nice video as always
thanks! =)
The only thing the GV70 suffers from is a lack of brand recognition/longevity. South Korea got it right with this vehicle. Give them another decade to solidify their footing. Coupling their design with their extensive warranty, they can't be beat!

X3,NX
if you open the front and rear doors on the X3 you will find X3 stamped on the b pillar

Do you have any videos where you’ve driven the 22-23 Telluride and GV70 on the Autobahn?
GV70 Autobahn is also in this one, Telluride no sadly
@@autogefuehl Thanks. I’ll scan through for the drive.

would you still pick X3 if it was just X3 and not X3 M?

Thanks for the nice and very details review video. I would pick the car as below (if possible):
Interior#New Tech/Creative: Merc
Exterior#Brand: Porsche
Value#Cost: BMW
Driving#Feeling: Porsche
So should I still waiting for the dream car or upgrade/modify from a used timeless ultimate driving machine Porsche?
Cheers! Heheh yeah its tough
Best Mercedes of course
Ich bin gerade dabei mich zwischen X3 und Q5 zu entscheiden. Oh man... am liebsten beide :)
For drivability, the Lexus sure is an odd duck here.
I would take the Q5 or GLC.
Macan is the best from here. and gv70 or nx > x3 > glc > q5
NX
Merc the more classy and family oriented , Porsche the obvious choice if you are looking for a sport SUV and BMW the balance between the two . Audi ,, boring and the rest for the brand followers .
To me the perfect combination of user interaction and technology ( albeit not super modern, but that’s no bad thing ) is a late 2nd generation X3 (3.0d) with idrive /non touch screen but still “ professional “) , just an opinion, but regardless I love your videos Thomas long may they keep coming !
🙌🙌🙌
2nd generation? Complete garbage it's the first vehicles that have android auto/apple carplay which is much better then having NOTHING yet they have plenty of buttons, it was after 2017/2018/2019 models they began removing buttons.
Hi Thomas, please look on each car for at diming light of a passenger mirror. Merc and BMW do not offer it anymore. In this price level this is a joke IMO. What do You think about it ?
They don’t?
@@autogefuehl NO at least in Europe. BMW was offering it until 2021 or 2022 as a package for all 3 mirrors (2 outside+1 inside). Merc is not offering it even longer. IMO this is not OK against customers espacially when You are making long night trips (8-9 hours) across Europe and You're blinded by bixenon or laser-light in passenger mirror. Who is responsible for a traffic collision or serious car accident auf die deutsche Autobahn when You were blinded ? Car manufacturer or a driver or a car who blinded You ? This is in my opinion something important for Your AUTOGEFUEHL subscribers.
totally. I ll ask about that
@@autogefuehl danke schoen ! :)
Mercedes senza confronto......TOPPP.

These are midsize in Europe but compact crossovers in America.
Why they do not make Macan's cheaper in Europe? They are cheaper in US than back home, common

Was afraid to put it in there because it is relatively old in comparison to the others. But I still very much like it. Recent video was here: ruclips.net/video/wWldGvketwM/видео.html
And the winner is the X3….
🎉🎉🎉
last time it was the GLC
I'm thinking to get X3 facelift or new GLC and I'm so confused 😮
Take glc. Then you'll change to the new X3 if won't like it)
GV70!
Mercedes better then Bmw, Audi for me btetter an dLexu nx for reability and Hybrid
but but.. no Stelvio :(?! it's the best looking in this class :).
And it has the best handling out of them all .. and the worst infotainment system :D.
Oh, and no Volvo? Thomas, go back to the drawing board :P..
I don't think the GV70 or the NX are midsized SUVs. They're small/compact. The midsize vehicles would be the GV80 and the RX.
They re all approx the same length
So x3 and glc,q5 are not too?? They all are the same ,maybe 1-2 cm shorter, longer. Same class.
For example:
ruclips.net/video/zIxTdooX-2s/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/zZRRdDF-8FY/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/qYYpePfIwm0/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/v7Kyo2bZlB8/видео.html&t
It’s also important to mention that even though I own a fully-spec’d XC40, I miss having matrix headlights (the newest XC40 has something similar), cooled seats, a heads-up display, and lower fuel consumption.

Taint mid-sized showdown…it’s COMPACT SUVs
Depends on definition :)
@@autogefuehl True since cars are smaller in Europe. I imagine a Yukon would be considered a semi truck there! 😊. Here it is small (think Q3) compact (the ones your reviewed), midsize (say, MDX, or GLE) and full size (like QX 80). I do know there are some outfits who actually do convert semi trucks into RV’s but I doubt I will see one in Brittany.
@@autogefuehl Actually, I found your liking the X3 to be interesting. (Maybe home field bias?). Seems like virtually reviewers love the GV 70. What would be your thoughts about the X3 40 vs the GV 3.5?

I would definitely take the GV70!
I feel the NX doesn't belong in this group. I'm sure it's in a lower class.
@Jeff S
If the Genesis GV70 is so great ,then why are the sales numbers so dismal? 😆 Like it or not, there's no doubt that the Lexus NX definitely belongs "in this group;" of luxury CUVs
@@TheBjjones good one 👍🏽
@@TheBjjones Genesis is a fresh brand comparatively. Lexus has been there for decades so that's the reason it has a higher sales numbers. However performance, technology, safety wise Genesis is better dude its pretty clear, In fact the design is unmatched.
@@ashlynmusic8165
Genesis poor sales numbers have nothing to do with Lexus & everything to do with the fact that Genesis vehicles are displayed/sold out of makeshift Hyundai showrooms, as *Genesis is the only luxury vehicle brand without a dedicated, standalone dealership network, not to mention, Genesis dealers also have the lowest customer satisfaction rating in America*
Furthermore,, when you factor in the main parent company, Hyundai & their considerable woes/reputation producing shoddy vehicles, along with Hyundai's known customer satisfaction issues as well, it's a no-brainer why Genesis continues to languish in mediocrity among luxury car buyers.
@@TheBjjones indeed, in Europe Genesis has 3/4 dealerships, which is a joke (they have had them for over a year now). I was considering gv70 but being 400km plus away from the nearest dealership does not inspire much comfort. I was also told that despite being in European Union, I could not be guaranteed that the software updates would work outside of Germany (where the main 2 dealerships are). Ended up getting NX450 plug in and I don't regret it (despite annoying piano black and e CVT). Software updates while travelling across EU? No problem. Dealer response time and customer service is 5 star. As for long term reliability, time will tell.
Lexus is good, yes. But the front is darn ugly, just like the current BMW models.
BMW X3 is better amongst all of them here.

I have the 2022 X3 30e M-sport and it is a great company car, IMO. But it was a close call for me. They are all very good. Lexus for reliability but not quite my style preference. Mercedes-very nice. Porsche...if I go Porsche again, it's always gonna be a Carrera. Volvo-nice. Audi-nice. Tesla Model J-very nice (but all electric is not for me). Genesis-very nice.
