I had looked at several videos, trying to fix my finish nailer. Your precise, deliberate presentation was simple to follow, and I finally got my gun fixed. Thank you!
Very good video. I have to go along with others here who asked about the trigger valve. It would have been nice to see that replaced as well. Also of minor note....on my gun (RN175A), the rounded portion of the piston goes away from the nails, not toward the nails as you said at 7:50 in the video. Probably not anything serious here though, because the cylinder that the piston slides in is sized to only allow you to put the piston in the correct way. All in all a VERY helpful video. This enabled me to install the new kit in my gun in under a half hour, and I am thrilled about that. I didn't install the trigger valve that came with the kit, since i'd like to find a video showing me how before i do that. My troubles were solved though. The gun is firing great once again. My old piston stop was split nearly in half, so it was good to have a replacement for it. Thanks so much for this video!
Helpful video. I also had a shattered piston stop, which I replaced along with the o rings from the overhaul kit. With my gun, if I install the white cylinder separator first, the cylinder won't install because of the check valve ring (that fits around the small holes). I had to put the separator around the cylinder, then slide up the check valve, and then insert the entire assembly into the gun. But even though the gun came back together, I'm not getting any air expelled on fire, and the piston doesn't retract. Any thoughts appreciated.
great instruction. except mine has an extra part. A black metal washer that appears to go on the stop. not sure where. my stop was broken and everything just fell out.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT MODEL GUN YOUR REALLY WORKING ON BUT MINE IS A PORTER CABLE 175C TYPE 1 COIL ROOFING NAILER' YOU HAVE PARTS I DON'T HAVE ?? WHAT,S UP ???
You are seriously ok with the $7207 nut including shipping to repair a nailer worth $120 taxes in? Nicely detailed easy to follow video but that is ridiculous. So many cash grabbing overinflating pos out there thanks to amazon, aliexpress, walmart, Bestbuy and ebay.. Ruining small business , the world economy and basic human decency.

Thanks for the video; gave me exactly what I needed to know.

Just to clarify, Does the featured kit in the video (FN250B) work with the FN250A finish nailer?
I put it right on the back of the plastic stop and it works, hopefully long term.
Where can I get a gasket kit for that gun...appreciate your video very helpful
I just bought mine on Amazon. Picked one with a bunch decent ratings.

Very good information thanks much
You didn`t show how to replace the trigger valve
Thanks! I kept assembling this wrong.
Whatever you do don't show us how to replace the trigger valve. It's only in the kit for looks.
ideally when changing oring
Is it just me or did he forget the trigger valve?????????
That's the whole reason I came to view the video - he didn't....
NO information for the fr350B
He didn’t do the trigger
Doesn’t help when bolt is stripped out.
