You don't need to worry about it looking accurate straight away, when I did my 6 wide builds the cylinders were stupidly basic. It's a simple matter of using different length technic rods and just play with other technic bricks. It would be better to put them together in various ways before adding it to a model. Some lego trains don't even use a connecting rod to the cylinders, Smith Movies being a prime example so you don't need to worry if nothing works at the moment.
Do you have any places or images you use because I can’t find any I would like to know if you had a place or website you get Pictures to build off of or are you freestyling it
I'm planning on building an LNER K1 and thanks to you're video I'm now able to
Smart! I used this method for my Thomas moc, you could also use the holes at the botton of plates and tiles in the area where there are 2 plates!
I looked on your channel...I didn't find it
I may just have to start doing mocs of lego steam locomotives, they look so good compared to what lego themselves have done over the years
I just subscribed, beucase I like trains. NYYOOM!
How do you do the rod going into the cylinder I have tried many things but can't find anything as realistic as yours.

In milimetres how big are your drive wheels I use 30 mm wide ones

All my models are built from scratch and are full on freestyle
Do you recommend Building 6,7 or 8 studs wight, I ask because I want to Build a lego Railway
Go straight to 8 wide. You'll be throwing yourself in the deep end but it's the best place to be as you'll learn a lot at once
